They don't need to nerf that many brawlers. The meta is healthy, instead they should focus on buffing/reworking brawlers that are stuck at the bottom of the meta
I kind of dislike this mentaility that "If a brawler is A or S tier, then they need to be nerfed". Sometimes its okay for a brawler to be top tier. Thats fine. As long as theyre not blatantly overpowered or toxic, then I'd say let them be. I feel like oftentimes having a few reliable, versatile top tiers is actually a good thing, not a bad thing. So, instead of trying to hit every A-S tier brawler with nerfs, i feel like the focus should be more on giving impactful buffs to C and D tier brawlers instead. Basically, instead of making the top tiers feel worse and less fun, make the low tiers feel like they can compete, and be more fun to play.
Agreed. I mean, look at Lou for example. The biggest thing that held him back was how hard his main attack was to hit. The reload speed helped him a lot. As long as he isn't killing everyone with no skill then I don't see the problem.
I completely disagree, because when you balance a game with only buffs, the powercreep increases very quickly and it ends in a super-fast paced meta game with every brawler instant killing each other and constantly dying

But there are so many characters that have been D or F tier for so long, but because the focus is always on nerfing the top tiers, they never get any attention, or get tiny, meaningless buffs that don't change anything.
If a brawler who received a balance change that made them overpowered or released overpowered or got a Hypercharge that made them overpowered they deserve nerfs, but if it's not breaking the meta they deserve to stay that way for a bit
@@aritonstrikcani2373 Yeah, but what I mean is that some characters have mechanics or kits that aren't really toxic, and even act as the glue holding the meta together in a way, preventing more toxic or cheesy characters from thriving. A good example of this is Belle. She has always stayed around the A-S tier ever since she was released, and is an extremely versatile and solid brawler. But because her mechanics aren't inherently toxic or blatantly OP, her being strong isn't necessarily a problem. In many ways, having such a strong, versatile option is a good thing. Of course, when she did become too strong (like when her Hypercharge was just released), a nerf was justified, but as long as she isn't breaking the game, I see no reason to nerf her.

Why rico? Rico is very map dependant. He can't be played in any semi open maps. And in closed maps he is very good but throwers are also seen in very closed map that counters him. Rather buff your skill

I’d do a change for Jacky. Jacky gets 6.5% bonus speed when her super is fully charged, so she is fast as brawlers like Bibi or Kit and can get into position to use her super

I think an insanely good but also prob pretty balanced hypercharge for Sam would just to allow him to call back his gauntlet thingys when he supers no matter what. So he’d turn into Carl/charlie type attack for 3-4 seconds.

While I think you almost always have a great grasp of the meta, I hear you very often advocating for nerfs of consistently good brawlers just because they’ve been strong for a long time. Biggest culprits in this video were Angelo, Larry, and especially Amber. They don’t need nerfs just because they’ve been “at the top of the meta for the longest time”. I’d rather see buffs to alternatives or their counters first (like Mr P for Angelo). We won’t know whether two of their hypercharges are even good until they get pushed out. After Poco and Nani, two of my favorites, got their hypercharges, I’ve dismissed the “hypercharges will fix them” argument until I see it in practice. Let’s try to balance them when we know their full kit rather than speculatively nerfing them as you said for Amber. Also, if you’re really convinced that we need nerf ideas, I’m surprised that you glossed over Frank and Gus. They’re still over-tuned.
@@aritonstrikcani2373 I think about it this way: the first gadget is better on open maps, I’ll admit, but everywhere else the other gadget is much better. First, you don’t need to waste an ammo doing way less damage. Second, to kill someone with the first gadget, you need to commit a gadget, super, and your whole ammo bar, but with the other gadget, you stun them for enough time to confuse them or unload your whole ammo bar, doing full damage, and not committing a super usage. Third, defending yourself is much easier and much more effective with the second gadget. With the first gadget, if someone jumps on top of you, you are dead no matter what, since you can’t separate yourself from the enemy. If you trap yourself to save yourself (assuming a separation), then the enemies will instantly kill you when the gadget’s duration ends. If you trap the enemy, then you might be able to pinch him depending on the position. With the second gadget, you can stop the enemy in midair, mid flight, or mid dash, preventing all landing damage and catching the enemy extremely off guard. If you mistime it and activate it too late, it might even be better since the stun and knock back are amplified. Fourth, it is better at chasing low enemies. Because the other gadget lets them heal inside the walls, you need to use a super to finish off the enemy. The second gadget resets healing and stuns them so if you are doing wall peaks on a low enemy, you can just pop the gadget, walk forward, and auto aim to finish of the kill, which is much simpler and better than the first gadget. In conclusion: the second gadget does everything that the first gadget does, but better. The only advantage that the first gadget has is that it can be used to push forward on open maps.

Gus needs a rework or a nerf, and I think Angelo's 1st gadget has to be nerfed, not the hp. Ruffs' bonus hp should be scaled with power levels. Also would be nice if Sprout gets a HCR buff to 60% before hypercharge gets a rework.
Nerf rico's super charge rate tbh. He gets his super too often for how easy it is to charge and recharge. This will inturn also nerf his hc. Also needs a nerf to his gadget, fuck that gadget. The damage needs to be reduced even more or reduce the bounces/range by like 30%

Yes. I have a very suitable buff/rework which will make Fang always good pretty much. That is giving him *50% damage reduction while supering* like Daryl and chuck.

Sam hyper charge idea when hyper charged Sam always has his super even when he throws his gloves to he can recall them at anytime and the healing will be slightly increased but main the stat buffs should be higher shield and maybe speed but not really damage.
No one talks about Mr P and Doug, man. These two have been suffering the longest, even noobs don't play them now... especially Mr.P! Just give Doug a tank trait and HP buff, and give my man Mr. P a range and damage buff. I'd love to see that!
I usually agree with the merfs and buffs but this time i don’t really like the nerfs, the brawlers you talked about just brought a breath of fresh air into the meta and are not toxic or overpowered in any way, aside from stu and juju probably. Hopefully they focus more on the buffs rather than the nerfs this time because the meta is very balanced
Pam just needs to have a more consistent dps. She was good for the longest of time because of her hp, her damage, her good range on top of the healing (which was ok) and now we just have pearl which does exactly what pam used to do (without the healing) but better. There's no reason to play pam when you have a better version of her. So yeah, making her damage more consistent or capitalizing onto her healing (by increasing the radius of the super) i think it's the way to go.
Best Nerf to STU Would be his hypercharge supers should only heal him once. It's excruciating that he entirely heals himself in the blink of an eye with his hypercharge.
For Sam I'd like to see them change his super to charge automatically while his gloves are on the ground. As is you can't really be aggressive with his super because if the glove ends up in a bad spot, you can't get it back without giving up ground or becoming target practice. Also, the secondary super that recalls the glove is almost pointless right now since you never get it; if it auto-charged it would be more useful. They could rework his second star power to do this, but i'd rather see that one give him a shield either when he uses his super or picks it up again

The meta is probably one of the best one of the entire history of Brawl Stars. I agree with most of the brawlers that should get a buff, but in terms of nerfs, I only wish for Juju and Stu.
Spen I rlly like your videos but I think the only brawlers who actually need nerfs are Juju, Frank, Surge and Rico. I don’t understand why brawlers like Janet, Ash, Lou and Penny should be nerfed even tho they haven’t been in the spotlight for almost 2 years at this point (especially Janet and Ash). Penny was meta in 2022 and early 2023. THATS IT. Ash’s meta died in 2023, Janet in 2023, and as for Lou he pretty much fell off after his supercharge rate nerf. Just no 🙏 I’m sick and tired of seeing surge and Rico being played everywhere and being too versatile, none of them require any brain power and straight out unfair at times.

It´s true that theyre strong but for example janet and ash have been top 10 worst brawlers in the game for more than a year. Penny should have her cannons super charge rate(including the fire) so it’s harder to constantly cycle, for emz remove the damage debuff on the acid sprays gadget and buff her hypercharge rate, lou just needs a super charge rate nerf I like the faster reload speed, for grom just buff foot patrol to make it the more his super is charged the better the speed boost because he’s so much better with the speed boost but the fact you have to hold onto your super to get it makes it rough to use

I personally think that snipers in general are to strong, and close range brawlers to weak. How the flip can a piper three shot 9/10 tanks? With AMbush starpower and damage she even 2 shots a lot of them! THEY are TANKS. Now they just don't feel tanky. If this makes tanks to strong, I'd rather have Brawl Stars make some larger maps than nerf them again. Would immediatly give some much needed freedom to mapmaker. I barely can make anything there without running out of space. My actual nerf and buff wishlists: nerf (top 5) 1. Nita - Get her bear down, she spawn a hypercharged one, get it down, she spawns a normal one, etc. > Nerf her super charge rate and/or hypercharge rate. 2. Berry - This brawler has some actual insanely OP strategies. You barely see him, but when you do, especially in competetive, it leads to the most one-sided matches ever. > Nerf the healing of the basic attack, maybe super aswell. 3. Piper - Three shots nearly all tanks normally, 2 shots a lot with ambush and damage. If she doesn't have ambush she has the reload starpower. COmbined with somehow not being countered by assasins because of the super and gadget. > Either nerf her gadget pushback range, make her super bombs deal less damage or nerf her damage by like 10%. 4. Byron - His projectile is so small, yet it always hits you AND deal massive damage aswell. On top of that he can also heal allies? No wonder he's used so much. > Nerf his projectiles hitbox. 5. Dynamike - I honestly think his stun gadget isn't even that good, but his damage is just enough to be to really annoying. > Either nerf his normal attack damage, or his super (especially hyper) damage. One being like a nuke when it hits is good enough, we don't need two. Best might be to increase his splash or decrease detonation time of the normal attack, but nerf it's damage to 1500 per stick or smt. Or only nerf the damage. Honorary mention: Tick - Actually feels balanced, but I feel like he lacks a solid counter. Assasins could be great, but Tick is great in keeping enemies at bay and keeping passive games. 9/10 times your teammates will be able to defend you. Only heal combo's work consistently I'd say. > Tick doesn't need a nerf, but it would be great if healing combo's became more versatile. Now you usually have to determine to run one at the start of the match. Byron, Poco, Pam, Kit and Berry already do good against him, but Pam is just not good, Poco is only usefull against a small amount of comps. Berry needs a teammate that is tanky and has long range, and that is out of my head only Meg. Kit mostly only works in knockout, and can be quite easily banned there, and then only Byron is still useble for knockout of these. Byron is probably quite good against tick and can be used almost everywhere, but he has no splash damage, and when Tick starts damaging multiple enemies he will struggle. Not to mention that he himself does get countered by throwers like Tick. Buff (top 5) 1. Bull - Always seems to die, and needs to get extremely close to deal any damage. > Buffing his range and reducing shot spread would make him Shelly 2.0. Buffing his Hp to be similar to El Primo should do the trick. Or buff T-bone injector. 2. El Primo - Similar problem to Bull, but at least has some extra range and a better super. > The health still isn't enough. His damage also has somewhat low DPS, although the DPM seems way better. Buffing his health should make him a more sustainable source of damage. Maybe even rework him to have like 130-140K hp, but nerf his damage by 10-20% (including super damage). 3. Tara - Yeah unpopular one, but she doesn't have great Hp, no great damage, only normal movement speed, and her attack basically works like a shotgun. See my problem? > At least buff her reload speed a little. If you don't, hive her some extra HP so she can get that extra shot in just a little more often. 4. Doug - I don't think his engaging is the problem. H eis a support, but he can barely support. > There are multiple possible roads, you can even do more: Let him charge his super by healing. Increase his healing, buff his healing gadget. I envision a brawler that almost never attacks enemies, but is just walking around giving sausages to his friends to keep them going. Similar to berry, but instead of a thrower a close range Jacky. 5. Bonnie - Bit biased, since she is my main. But if I didn't put her here she would've been like 6th or 7th probably at best. I like concept of having a second ranged tank like Meg, but she just doesn't cut it. She is just a little HP short of surving an extra attack by quite a lot of brawlers and is just outranged by snipers. > Buff her HP to 10.000 and/or give her the same range as Piper.
8:53 I think 30% shield on the hardy hard star power is too much, in my opinion they could nerf counter crush from 30% to 20% and then buff the direct damage of jacky basic attacks by 10%.
Definitely do not buff her basic attacks. And if you do not by 10% she would instantly be OP. And nerfing a star power instead of buffing the worse one is a horrible idea. You should never nerf anything unless it’s OP. And counter crush is not op it’s just better than the other star power. Buff the other star power until it’s useful. Nerfing one star power just to make the other more viable is horrible game design.
I don't really understand the mentality of nerfing brawlers hypercharge when the Hypercharge is the ONLY reason why they became good (not even OP, just good) and I'm talking about Janet btw, though this can be applied to others.
On the flip side, it’s not good for a brawler to be entirely reliant on one ability to play well. The brawler might not receive other buffs to help them outside of their hypercharge because the hypercharge is overcompensating for their weaknesses. In Janet’s case, I think nerfing her hypercharge rate and/or super recharge rate could let her get a slight damage buff or faster focusing speed like people wanted before her hypercharge.
I believe that mist of these changes on the wishlist are justified (except janet) but I would also include Meg and Spike for HP buffs, maybe 200 or 400 and to nerf Melodie's damage ever so slightly. Do any of you agree with these?

But because her mechanics aren't inherently toxic or blatantly OP, her being strong isn't necessarily a problem. In many ways, having such a strong, versatile option is a good thing.
Of course, when she did become too strong (like when her Hypercharge was just released), a nerf was justified, but as long as she isn't breaking the game, I see no reason to nerf her.

While I think you almost always have a great grasp of the meta, I hear you very often advocating for nerfs of consistently good brawlers just because they’ve been strong for a long time. Biggest culprits in this video were Angelo, Larry, and especially Amber. They don’t need nerfs just because they’ve been “at the top of the meta for the longest time”. I’d rather see buffs to alternatives or their counters first (like Mr P for Angelo). We won’t know whether two of their hypercharges are even good until they get pushed out. After Poco and Nani, two of my favorites, got their hypercharges, I’ve dismissed the “hypercharges will fix them” argument until I see it in practice. Let’s try to balance them when we know their full kit rather than speculatively nerfing them as you said for Amber. Also, if you’re really convinced that we need nerf ideas, I’m surprised that you glossed over Frank and Gus. They’re still over-tuned.
Meeple is really good, you just need a different play style to play him well. Also, use the second gadget, it is much better than the first

@@aritonstrikcani2373 I think about it this way: the first gadget is better on open maps, I’ll admit, but everywhere else the other gadget is much better.
First, you don’t need to waste an ammo doing way less damage.
Second, to kill someone with the first gadget, you need to commit a gadget, super, and your whole ammo bar, but with the other gadget, you stun them for enough time to confuse them or unload your whole ammo bar, doing full damage, and not committing a super usage.
Third, defending yourself is much easier and much more effective with the second gadget. With the first gadget, if someone jumps on top of you, you are dead no matter what, since you can’t separate yourself from the enemy. If you trap yourself to save yourself (assuming a separation), then the enemies will instantly kill you when the gadget’s duration ends. If you trap the enemy, then you might be able to pinch him depending on the position. With the second gadget, you can stop the enemy in midair, mid flight, or mid dash, preventing all landing damage and catching the enemy extremely off guard. If you mistime it and activate it too late, it might even be better since the stun and knock back are amplified.
Fourth, it is better at chasing low enemies. Because the other gadget lets them heal inside the walls, you need to use a super to finish off the enemy. The second gadget resets healing and stuns them so if you are doing wall peaks on a low enemy, you can just pop the gadget, walk forward, and auto aim to finish of the kill, which is much simpler and better than the first gadget.
In conclusion: the second gadget does everything that the first gadget does, but better. The only advantage that the first gadget has is that it can be used to push forward on open maps.
The only thing that i would love to be nerfed about Lou is his star power. Up to 50% less damage is just too much.

Gus needs a rework or a nerf, and I think Angelo's 1st gadget has to be nerfed, not the hp. Ruffs' bonus hp should be scaled with power levels. Also would be nice if Sprout gets a HCR buff to 60% before hypercharge gets a rework.
Poco's hypercharge as well needs a buff, I mean the hypercharge should increase the healing from super, plus make the overheal decay slower.

Sam hyper charge idea when hyper charged Sam always has his super even when he throws his gloves to he can recall them at anytime and the healing will be slightly increased but main the stat buffs should be higher shield and maybe speed but not really damage.
They should make Angelo slower when charging his shots, this will make his shots a lot more tactical to charge up, and it will make him harder to use

I usually agree with the merfs and buffs but this time i don’t really like the nerfs, the brawlers you talked about just brought a breath of fresh air into the meta and are not toxic or overpowered in any way, aside from stu and juju probably. Pam just needs to have a more consistent dps. She was good for the longest of time because of her hp, her damage, her good range on top of the healing (which was ok) and now we just have pearl which does exactly what pam used to do (without the healing) but better. There's no reason to play pam when you have a better version of her. So yeah, making her damage more consistent or capitalizing onto her healing (by increasing the radius of the super) i think it's the way to go.
Rosa needs an attack buff and hp buff as she loses to way too many brawlers in 1v1 fights despite being a tank

For Sam I'd like to see them change his super to charge automatically while his gloves are on the ground. As is you can't really be aggressive with his super because if the glove ends up in a bad spot, you can't get it back without giving up ground or becoming target practice. Also, the secondary super that recalls the glove is almost pointless right now since you never get it; if it auto-charged it would be more useful. They could rework his second star power to do this, but i'd rather see that one give him a shield either when he uses his super or picks it up again

The meta is probably one of the best one of the entire history of Brawl Stars. I agree with most of the brawlers that should get a buff, but in terms of nerfs, I only wish for Juju and Stu.

I disagree with most of this. Amber, ash, larry, janet, etc are not broken. It´s true that theyre strong but for example janet and ash have been top 10 worst brawlers in the game for more than a year. Now that theyre usable and they´re not breaking the game they should not recieve a nerf. I agree with juju but they should nerf other brawlers like frank before even considering nerfing a solid but not broken brawler. They should buff bad brawlers like doug hank or bonnie and nerf juju and the meta would fix it self

I personally think that snipers in general are to strong, and close range brawlers to weak. How the flip can a piper three shot 9/10 tanks? With AMbush starpower and damage she even 2 shots a lot of them! THEY are TANKS. Now they just don't feel tanky.
If this makes tanks to strong, I'd rather have Brawl Stars make some larger maps than nerf them again. Would immediatly give some much needed freedom to mapmaker. I barely can make anything there without running out of space.
My actual nerf and buff wishlists:
nerf (top 5)
1. Nita - Get her bear down, she spawn a hypercharged one, get it down, she spawns a normal one, etc. > Nerf her super charge rate and/or hypercharge rate.
2. Berry - This brawler has some actual insanely OP strategies. You barely see him, but when you do, especially in competetive, it leads to the most one-sided matches ever. > Nerf the healing of the basic attack, maybe super aswell.
3. Piper - Three shots nearly all tanks normally, 2 shots a lot with ambush and damage. If she doesn't have ambush she has the reload starpower. COmbined with somehow not being countered by assasins because of the super and gadget. > Either nerf her gadget pushback range, make her super bombs deal less damage or nerf her damage by like 10%.
4. Byron - His projectile is so small, yet it always hits you AND deal massive damage aswell. On top of that he can also heal allies? No wonder he's used so much. > Nerf his projectiles hitbox.
5. Dynamike - I honestly think his stun gadget isn't even that good, but his damage is just enough to be to really annoying. > Either nerf his normal attack damage, or his super (especially hyper) damage. One being like a nuke when it hits is good enough, we don't need two. Best might be to increase his splash or decrease detonation time of the normal attack, but nerf it's damage to 1500 per stick or smt. Or only nerf the damage.
Honorary mention: Tick - Actually feels balanced, but I feel like he lacks a solid counter. Assasins could be great, but Tick is great in keeping enemies at bay and keeping passive games. 9/10 times your teammates will be able to defend you. Only heal combo's work consistently I'd say. > Tick doesn't need a nerf, but it would be great if healing combo's became more versatile. Now you usually have to determine to run one at the start of the match. Byron, Poco, Pam, Kit and Berry already do good against him, but Pam is just not good, Poco is only usefull against a small amount of comps. Berry needs a teammate that is tanky and has long range, and that is out of my head only Meg. Kit mostly only works in knockout, and can be quite easily banned there, and then only Byron is still useble for knockout of these. Byron is probably quite good against tick and can be used almost everywhere, but he has no splash damage, and when Tick starts damaging multiple enemies he will struggle. Not to mention that he himself does get countered by throwers like Tick.
Buff (top 5)
1. Bull - Always seems to die, and needs to get extremely close to deal any damage. > Buffing his range and reducing shot spread would make him Shelly 2.0. Buffing his Hp to be similar to El Primo should do the trick. Or buff T-bone injector.
2. El Primo - Similar problem to Bull, but at least has some extra range and a better super. > The health still isn't enough. His damage also has somewhat low DPS, although the DPM seems way better. Buffing his health should make him a more sustainable source of damage. Maybe even rework him to have like 130-140K hp, but nerf his damage by 10-20% (including super damage).
3. Tara - Yeah unpopular one, but she doesn't have great Hp, no great damage, only normal movement speed, and her attack basically works like a shotgun. See my problem? > At least buff her reload speed a little. If you don't, hive her some extra HP so she can get that extra shot in just a little more often.
4. Doug - I don't think his engaging is the problem. H eis a support, but he can barely support. > There are multiple possible roads, you can even do more: Let him charge his super by healing. Increase his healing, buff his healing gadget. I envision a brawler that almost never attacks enemies, but is just walking around giving sausages to his friends to keep them going. Similar to berry, but instead of a thrower a close range Jacky.
5. Bonnie - Bit biased, since she is my main. But if I didn't put her here she would've been like 6th or 7th probably at best. I like concept of having a second ranged tank like Meg, but she just doesn't cut it. She is just a little HP short of surving an extra attack by quite a lot of brawlers and is just outranged by snipers. > Buff her HP to 10.000 and/or give her the same range as Piper.
8:53 I think 30% shield on the hardy hard star power is too much, in my opinion they could nerf counter crush from 30% to 20% and then buff the direct damage of jacky basic attacks by 10%.
Definitely do not buff her basic attacks. And if you do not by 10% she would instantly be OP. And nerfing a star power instead of buffing the worse one is a horrible idea. You should never nerf anything unless it’s OP. And counter crush is not op it’s just better than the other star power. Buff the other star power until it’s useful. Nerfing one star power just to make the other more viable is horrible game design.
I don't really understand the mentality of nerfing brawlers hypercharge when the Hypercharge is the ONLY reason why they became good (not even OP, just good) and I'm talking about Janet btw, though this can be applied to others.
On the flip side, it’s not good for a brawler to be entirely reliant on one ability to play well. The brawler might not receive other buffs to help them outside of their hypercharge because the hypercharge is overcompensating for their weaknesses. In Janet’s case, I think nerfing her hypercharge rate and/or super recharge rate could let her get a slight damage buff or faster focusing speed like people wanted before her hypercharge.
