I teared up when she said she checks on him every 10 minutes when he naps. I can't imagine going through what she did. Corinne, you are so unbelievably strong.
I'm just so happy she's getting help. Rob and Corrine are lucky to have each other
I cant compare. But that's how I am with my one year old. After he got a seizure from a fever. He sleeps in his toddler bed next to my bed. So whenever he wants he gets up and crawls into my bed. And I'm constantly checking his temperature. Because that's how it all started.
I feel bad for her and her stress level must be beyond. She is paranoid. And I dont blame her since rob is the only person she has.
They should have a baby incase if something did happen to rob (hopefully nothing does), at least she wont be alone and she will have a baby to give her company.
I just hope they over come this and get better.

@@SmokingVProzac420 no it's not just a shitty crying baby. It's a life. When I see my son I see my husband as well. And I love my sons hundred times more knowing that me and my husband created a life.
If anything happens to my husband at least I have a part of him with me til I die and I won't be lonely. And now I'm having my second son with him. And it brings me joy and stress but the stress is worth every second of happiness I get to have with my son.
No more "activated charcoal food dye" for Rob if he's taking medication. It'd absorb his medication and wouldn't let it absorbe into his system.

Honestly the best advice you could give to both Corinne and Rob during this time is just that: be kind to yourselves. It's very easy to fall into a mindset of being much crueler to yourself after you've experienced trauma, no matter if it's about the trauma itself or about unrelated matters. The two of them need to be easier and kinder on themselves on this road for their own sakes. Everything adds up, even small things such as using food dye as opposed to making dye naturally.

Maybe you could get Rob an oxygen sensor to wear on his finger during his naps/sleeping time. That might help relieve some worry/stress if you could monitor his breathing remotely. ❤️

That would be a great idea. That’s what I mom did for me when I was younger. She told me it helped with stress and gave her a sense of security yet she still checked in on me
You guys should maybe look into getting a service dog. That could alert you if rob isn’t doing well. And can let you guys know if something is about to happen!

why don't you get Rob an apple watch that monitors HR, and sync it to your phone, so you'll get alerts if anything abnormal is occurring so you don't have to check on him every 10 minutes?
She probably wouldn't trust it, she'd still want to physically/visibly (?) check that he's still okay

Probably to her it’s self assuring to see rob breathing. I do it with my mom since she suffered a heart attack almost 3 years ago. I still do it to this day. It’s comforting to see the person you love and care for breathing.
While that would be more convenient, from a mental health standpoint it could be worse for her in the long run. For some people, having a constant monitor would just make them check more frequently and increase their anxiety. Checking on him may be important for him, but for her it's important that she is able to walk away.
I was thinking that the defibrillator he has implanted will make sure his heart keeps beating appropriately, so she shouldn't have to worry. But I understand that after an event like that, even knowing that that's there it's hard to trust him being alone. I hope they are able to recover quickly and can move back to whatever normalcy they can have again very soon
It’s so nice to hear the reality of you’re healing. I know it could be just as easy to not talk about any of this and never think about it again. But seeing you healing healthily is so nice and inspiring. You keep going but you do it in a healthy manner. Love y’all and it takes time but it’ll get better.

My dad had Wegner's granulomatosis....it was undiagnosed until I was in high school...though he had had painful symptoms for years but they were random and granulomatosis is so rare many other things were blamed...until he suddenly went into kidney failure Shands at UF diagnosed him and saved his life... He lived another 27 years to the ripe old age of 73. Hope and healing thoughts.
Thankful for Shands! That's where our little baby had her open heart surgery.

So very happy that they are both in therapy. When she said that she had to check to make sure that he was still breathing, I had to pause the video and take a minute because I remember doing that so many times with my dad when I was growing up. My younger brother and I both dealt with horrible anxiety about leaving him every day to go to school and became extremely superstitious about what we had to do before we left and when we came home as a way of dealing with it in our young minds. We definitely could have benefitted from talking to a professional!

I just think Corinne’s brother is doing an amazing job being a brother right now.
I remember during your blog where you gave up alcohol, etc. that you mentioned one of your anxieties is when Rob leaves you are afraid he won't be back. His having a heart attack and essentially dying for 20 minutes, couldn't possibly have helped that anxiety. Really pretty inconsiderate on his part (lol ;)) I think anyone who has ever loved some one so fiercely (partner, child, parent...) would do the same. No shame in that. But thank you for sharing your story. I keep saying it, but it helps so much to know others have the same emotions and anxieties and that you aren't alone. Sending good vibes your way every day!
yeah, my father had 2 heart attacks a couple years ago and to this day when I see him sleeping or sitting very still I have this terror that he has died and I cannot leave without making sure he is still breathing/moving (like he could just be watching TV and I still have this strong anxiety in my heart cause I don't see him move at all and then he finally moves or I hear him breathing and I feel relieved)
I can't live without my brother.
We annoy each other but one of my biggest anxietys is being alone for along period of time like 5-6 hours it only really comes out when I'm home alone which is very rare but I don't really trust myself to be Alone Because of things in the past, I haven't had anyone die on me but I can kinda relate to Corrines fear.
I hope she's getting better mental health wise, same for Rob.

My heart broke when she started talking about having to keep checking on Rob to ensure he’s breathing.
My nephew was born early and had several heart failures and ever since then I and his mum always check he's breathing while napping (he's 3 now and just had open heart surgery )

I teared up, too. My husband and I both have multiple congenital medical issues. It's scary just thinking about what could happen if any of those issues became life-threatening, and he and I both know that it's probably going to happen. So, we at least are a little bit prepared for that reality. The two of them weren't. I love that she's opening up about both of them going through therapy and the constant fear that she feels. I truly think they are so strong and this has made them even stronger together.
I do that for my pets and sometimes my family, I thought it was a normal thing. Oops.

my dad died about four years ago, in a very similar situation as to what rob went through. my therapy was youtube. you guys got me through the hardest time of my life and i can’t thank you enough. all my love to both you and rob ❤️ keep fighting!!

Sybil Vane my dad died of a heart attack when i was 7 while he was vacuuming his floor. i was barely able to see him after my parents divorce when i was four and he walked out one morning when me and my sister were walking out to the bus and my mom only gave him a day a week of custody and i always blamed her for not giving me more time with him before he was gone, but as i grew up i realized that nobody knew that was going to happen. and that everything happens for a reason but it can be sad. but in the august of the same year my dad died my now stepdad and my mom got married and he’s now a father figure to me and i can talk to him about anything. he’s adopting me and my sister soon so if anythinb happens to my mom, he can take care of us.

When you went to check on Rob while he slept I literally almost cried. and by that i mean I cried. I know it's like has a lot to do with anxieties and stuff but it's so beautiful at the same time and sad and my emotions.
