One loophole in this law could be the partisan politics of the speaker. They often misuse their power for the disqualification of a member. We need to establish an independent tribunal to finalize the disqualification procedure.
Some confusion here for me... Upto the latest amendent of the law will it give immunity to the legislators who jump party's in one third of the numbers eg.. If the partyA has 90 legislators 30 from partyA jumped to partyB will they enjoy the immunity from the law in this case or will they face actions behalf of the law? Please clarify
Hindu be like,,, kuch bhi bana deta hu...kisi ko kya hi pata chalega... 1/3rd is called split and 2/3rd is called merger... 52nd amendment allowed both... I.e., either in case of split or merger,, anti defection wont apply.... 91st amendment act simply removed split provision... So it means,,, now only merger i.e, 2/3rd is allowed.
The best simple solution is if a person or group of persons elected on a particular party symbol wants switch he should resign and go to people and get elected on a new party symbol. He is elected by the people so go back to people and get their approval.
Wishing all the aspirants of UPSC Civil Services Prelims Good Luck!

At 1:26, it'saying 1/3rd members merging with another party but in writing it's showing 2/3rd member merging with with another party,

May the government also make Anti Public-Defecation Law for our Indians. Perhaps, it exists already? Hence, make it strict Rule.

Somewhere it is mentioned that it applies to rajya sabha, at some places it is not. So does it apply to rajya sabha too?

I misread the title as anti- defecation law and thought that it is about open defecation. 😄
Kindly do proper research before posting videos.... Wrong information served.
