Traxxas Magnum 272 | Input Shaft Repair

Today I will be tearing down the Magnum 272 transmission in my BANDIT VXL. During the CLASH the input shaft was free spinning, the issue ended up being a broken spring pin on the input shaft. This video shows you how two remove the transmission, tear down the Magnum 272, repair damages, and install all remove components.

Tools needed:
1.5mm Hex driver
2.0mm Hex driver
2.5mm Hex driver
Needle nose pliers
Compatible Grease
A piece of tape to reseal case
A suitable tool to press Top Gear onto Input Shaft

You should try the Raw Speed Rc waffle tires. They don’t balloon a lot good wear

You can use the output shaft from the newer transmission as an upgrade or the shaft from the pro line transmission as well. The proline one is machined from one solid piece of hardened steel.

I seen that, I bought the stock primarily because side they had it in stock. If it breaks again I’ll surely upgrade it. Thank you

I upgraded to the 272r transmission. I broke the input from the 272 transmission shaft twice, so I purchased the input pressed shaft. I have it in my spare parts box. I haven't had any issues with the 272r transmission. I'm planning on getting another one for my spare part slash build. I was wondering to apply JB weld in the pin inside the input shaft to make it permanent fix.
