    Since becoming more frugal I have discovered that it is almost never necessary to buy things at full price. Also important to know the difference between needs and wants.

      As soon as I go into any store whether it be thrift store or grocery store I check the markdown section in my grocery store I check the markdown meat regular markdown aisle bakery deli and produce. Most of the meat I buy is Mark down paying a fraction of the regular price. Even thrift stores have markdown sections.

    saving money on food is easy - simple/high protein meals. coffee+ oatmeal + 6 egg white omelet for breakfast, frozen turkey meal + apple for lunch (super convenient) and 6 egg white over salad for dinner, + ice cream... you need some sweet in there. weekends you can do pizza etc... work out 3-4x/week - weights + cardio. You eat clean, you save money, look good, feel good. been doing it for years.

      @@MoneySmartFamily Thanks. Anyone can do it. Too many people buy too much, over eat and become over weight/unhappy, causing them to eat more, ironically. Eat less, spend less, move more :)

    What's neat is that everything that this family buys, actually owns it. As opposed to people who paid credit have loads of stuff and basically are renting items.

    You guys are ahead of the game, great job! I have to be honest, learning about how our body functions and reacts to foods we eat, I'd be looking to save mega dollars for healthcare! Too much junk food and processed foods!!!

    • @MoneySmartFamily
      @MoneySmartFamily  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Dear Me, you don't really think that one shopping trip is the sum total of what we eat on a weekly basis do you? Sometimes things are bought and eaten over the course of 6 months!

    • @Christine112359
      @Christine112359 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@MoneySmartFamily I used to do mega couponing and rebating so I understand stockpiling. I have come to the realization that most food products offered are heavily processed or junk foods. Very rarely there is an offer for produce. These corporations just want consumers to eat their cheap processed foods and to forget plant based, whole food diets, which only leads Americans to diseases and illnesses.

A a poor friendly village a few minutes from the Brecon National Park. Money and things don't mean anything to us, just being together is our happiness. We met and married last year, later in life. Bring a young mom and one income and on snap being frugal and knowing to coupon is amazing . Living with my parents as well so feeding me and my husband and my parents and my 8 month old I sometimes don't use all my snap benefits every month. Please if you are on disability or are having a hard time learn to coupon it can make it so much easier and can pay off debt or house payments so forth 💞💞

    hi, how do i set my buy prices? i found some limited info on government websites for how much things cost on average in my area. is my buy price anything under or equal to those? or is my buy price the lowest price i see? i'm confused about the setting on the buy prices.

      Just start by picking 2-3 items and watching their prices for a couple of months. If you really want to make a study of it, start keeping tract in a notebook. search for our price tracker sheet near the middle of this page, print some out, create a binder and you will learn the best deals for things...moneysmartfamily.com/groceries/
