Don't worry about what others think so much, you just keep building houses how you want. I come to see how someone else would make the house, if I wanted to see the house done the way I want I'd play the game and do the house myself.
If you need to delete a window and don't want a giant hole after, you can use the hand, move it to stand up on it's own on the floor, then sell it. It wont delete any wall :)
I put a 2nd floor on the boathouse one and made good money!
I love the way the house turned out! And it sold for a fantastic amount. Also the new house looks fantastic for an office. I feel like the purple kitchen was a sign. 😃
Oooooops on the roof, sadly they can't be sold your best bet is to buy a house with a flat roof like the one on the beach (Former Houseboat). You can't remove the exterior stairs that lead to the flat roof but you can extend the lower floor and build new walls to turn them into interior stairs.

The devs are working on the day/night cycle ... apparently. I don';t know about the roof thing, however.
I like that house as your office.
I wish they at least gave you the option to sleep again. I only do lighting at night but prefer doing everything else during the day.
Also, the outside looks so much better with more plants. It looks kind of naked without them on the walls you removed most of them from.
Edit: You can build pillars underneath you with the wall tool to reach higher. You automatically get lifted up by every layer you put down and can go as high as you want with it. I usually just make it 1 or 2 blocks wide and it's great as long as you don't step off accidentally.
I sold all the ivy on my build of this house and I got 405k. I love the ivy too but i thought it would drag down the price because first thing the scenarios tell you to do is sell all the "overgrowth". Good to know it doesn't effect the price if it's part of the design :)
I keep having flash backs to the time at joann fabrics that a co-worker dropped a peppermint scent bottle for a candle and the store smelt like peppermint for a week.
Great build. I really hate the lack of being able to set the time. Because when I am building, it is impossible to see what you are doing. You can't be sure of colors. If you could sleep or something to just skip to daytime, that would be fine. Game vs real time does not seem to work. That would be my number 1 request for a fix.
I am just thinking that a good place to put the stairs to the roof is that small thing balcony where the chair was placed. Just put the start of the stairs on the end and add a landing platform on top. Either that or mirror the stair case on the other balcony and add a landing platform if needed. with that second one, a pillar would probably be needed to make it look more legitimate and stable. I am also still wondering why the one patio was not extended so that the door to downstairs could be moved over to face the end of the stairs so that the couches in the media room can be placed better and more symmetrical like.
The red vines were beautiful and really made the outside pop!!

Outlets in bathrooms and kitchens(around sinks) are called GFI. My husbands an electrician so i hear about them more then id like too.

Just an idea I have had is what about taking the house on stilts and making the stilt portion closed off. Like a hotel or inn style feel too it similar to the woodland hostel.
Ya I was thinking I'd turn stilts to walls so we fan use all that space

You might be thnking of a split level house where there kinda half basement andit goes up into main area from stairs. I would call this house one even. I also thought in the movie room where the steps are you could have made a small landing and put steps on the side or both sides even, thene coud had a lil more room for the couches maybe

Personally, I don't like the always day option. When I first played the first game, I really enjoyed playing it on real time. However, the only time I could play was at night and then it was perma night. I hated that. The normal day / night cycle in the game I actually enjoy. Now you have the go to sleep function when clicking on a bed.
I do hope they bring back the roaches and maybe some extra pests, like ants, flies, rats, etc. All the crap you get in real life when you buy some grimy dump

Hilarious video as usual, however couple of things you can keep in mind
1. You can also add Air Conditioning as well to increase the price of the house
2. You could have added a skylight in the living room or the dining room as well it would have looked so much cooler
3. The office has better natural light than the bedroom, try adding bigger windows to rooms, it improves the price and also makes the room bigger
4. Windows in bathroom is equally important
5. Children's play area, if you build one of those on property I've seen that increases the value of the house
6. Trevor's Mansion is a pretty cool house... (Open floor plan-ish)
And he still didn't fix the cabinets 🤣 the right corner cabinets were a different style then the others

For game dev. Having always daytime is actually standard. While having daytime-nighttime is actually something you tend to add in. Most of the time its just light animation moving (So the sun moving as it would be)
