@@M3WrestlingI remember when I first purchased this game and played this game the roster in this game were similar to the other wrestlers from New Japan and other promotions they looked similar and had same movesets and finishers. They looked somewhat identical
What interests me as a PSX kid who acknowledges Revenge, No Mercy, etc. but doesn't want to get an N64, is: what are the best wrestling games for the PS1? I loved Smackdown! 2 at the time, but nowadays the frenetic pace does not appeal to me. I'm more interested in the Toukon Retsuden games, and Fire Pro Wrestling G.
I really enjoy Fire Pro Wrestling. We've had some down time lately with the holidays and some other things but I'll be getting back into some content real soon. May have to play some Fire Pro
This is actually one of the very first game i ever bough with myy own money along with tomb raider 1 and chrono cross and crash bandicot 1 back in the mid 90s
I always liked how you could do a quick squash match. If you can get your finisher off in the first 20-30 seconds of a match, you'll get the pin. May have been a bug but, it was a cool little feature for the time. The roster here was incredible too.
@@M3Wrestling yea, i remember the spirit system being a little weird. It's more like energy/life meter than it is a special or buff meter but, it also has special/buff properties. It's been so long lol Pretty sure if you hold the grapple button until the character raises their hands above their head, you can then pull off a finisher. I dont believe Spirit has anything to do with pulling off a finisher.
@@TheRustedShackleford man it was a struggle trying to figure that shit out lol. I was also suprised and annoyed how every damn wrestler tries to submit you more than pin you.
@M3Wrestling Appreciate the video. I played this game a lot as a kid and mostly had no clue who anyone is aside from the WCW roster and yeah it’s not the best especially now. Matches could be a real drag at times. I’m beginning to turn to your dark side of thinking that it’s mostly nostalgia and remembering how rough this game could be. Makes me remember playing Power Move Pro wrestling, similar PS1 game. Mostly made up roster from my understanding but fun nonetheless. Good video Brandon. Ready for the next one
Thanks! Yeah I get why people may have liked it but I think now it's just nostalgia. I think it deserves the proper credit for it's legacy but it is hard to play now lol. As I've said nostalgia keeps my going back to warzone and attitude so I get it. It's just easier for me to say it because I didn't play this one as a kid. Appreciate the kind words!
@@M3Wrestling I get the nostalgia for Warzone and Attitude too. Pretty much any wrestling games on PS1 in the states, I played A LOT as a kid. Aside from the early Tony Hawk games, wrestling games were all I played
It's not exactly the same game lol. World tour is way better. You might want to go play them both. Not even close besides some move animations. Mayhem is just a bit better for sure. To clarify it's not better than World Tour gameplay wise but its a bit better than Vs the world overall
@@Im.David.Robert people still maintain it was good or still good apparently. I don't think it's anything more than nostalgia to be honest. Nothing wrong with that. Just can't call it good myself.
I remember yes it did back then it was the newest thing with the most wrestlers and all of their moves crammed on the that which was good for a wrestling game at the time it was the Japanese system that was successful in Japan coming over on the new platform and 3d was still very new it was a fun game especially with friends but the n64 versions were better
The Turk is dynamite kid with Vader’s moves.
Oh nice. Yeah I should have looked up the list before hand but just didn't lol
