The New Anti-Semitism-from the Left

  • What’s behind the ugly antisemitism on campuses and elsewhere that surged up after the Hamas attack on Israel in October 2023? The viciousness against Jews took a lot of people by surprise, but it did not surprise Dr. Benjamin Ginsberg, author of The New American Anti-Semitism. He talks with Independent’s Graham Walker and Phil Magness about the book in this episode of Independent Conversations.

Ginsbergimisstates what the university presidents were asked about. They were not asked whether calling for genocide was evil. They were asked whether calling for genocide would violate the university's code.

Thanks, that makes more sense in context because that's the category of speech they can restrict.

    The new definition of anti-Semitism:
Anti-Semitism is rejection of the belief that one's family religion (even if they don't practice it), allows them to inherit and colonize the land where that religion began, even though the people that they ethnically cleanse while claiming their inheritance, are the actual descendants of the original members of that religion, but have taken on other religions (Christianity and Islam) over the last 2000 years. An anti-Semite will also suggest that Christian Palestinian's religion ALSO started in the the area, so by the same logic, they should have automatic rights to the land as well, as would all Christians in the world.
Anti-Semitism calls out the fact that the "heirs" are actually genetically mostly Persian, Caucasus, Slavic, and Roman, with only a minority of ancestors 2000 years ago living in Semitic lands, and that the people whose private property they stole in the Levant in 1948 are actually about 70% Semitic, genetically, compared to about 12%, in their own Ashkenazi populations.
An anti-Semite will point out that the Christians of Palestine are among the most closely-related modern people to the ancient Israelites whose remains have been genetically sequenced, and that almost all modern Jews, except the small Karaite tribe of Iraq, are far more distantly related, genetically, to the ancient Israelites than the vast majority of Palestinians. They will say that the Karaites are the only true directly-descended Jews still practicing some form of Judaism (they only accept the Torah as scripture).

The Arabs possessed 3 to 8% of the land almost identical to what the Jews possessed, 70% of the land was vacant or state owned, which meant mandatory authorities administration possessed that land.. 19% of the land was owned by sources outside the mandate of Palestine. The Arabs refused the Peel Commission of 1937 and the UN partition plan of 1947. The Arabs then chose war at the end of November 1947 and lost losing some of their land possessions. When you start a war, and you lose land, that is not the Nakba. After World War I, the Ottoman lost land, after World War II the Germans lost land. Today a majority of the Jewish population is Mazrachi or from the Middle East. Colonialism is defined by the wealthy and privileged taking another country over and exploiting the riches for the mother country. Jewish refugees were not colonialist, they did not come to exploit the riches of one country and transport them back to the mother country. Redefining colonialism, so it fits your bigoted definition will not historically fit the historical circumstances.

The overrepresentation of the tribe in power, money, information, culture....
is clearly not a reason for resentments, members of the tribe explain to us.
Its the christian hatred of the jews, implanted in otherwise tolerant muslim people.
Its the need to have a scapegoat to blame for every mistake the majority makes.
And it happened purely by chance, that the tribe is mistrusted by the people nearly all over the world.
Why not admit the real reasons and correct them.
Nevertheless, leftist antisemitism seems to me mainly correctly explained in this episode.
Following Gramsci, the leftists have to make everything that works as dysfunctional as possible
to achieve the possibility of a sustainable revolution.
So functional jewish communities and a functional jewish state
that honours the race of their citizens and helps capitalism have to be made dysfunctional as well.

    Isn't it economic freedom
    PLUS
thumbs up or thumbs down by the moneymasters.
With credit guidance into the productive economy, the moneymasters give us sustainable prosperity.
With credit guidance into real estate and stock markets, the moneymasters lead us into many types of disaster.

My man, government distortions and decisions about what should be the interest rate have led to the credit, tech, and housing bubbles. Other developed countries are at bad economic shape because they've set their interest rates extremely low for decades and accumulated debt by spending, all government decisions. You conflate banks with central banks, financial institutions with banks, and housing markets investment as positively correlated to financial institutions investment when one is a substitute for the other when the other has a downturn so there's alternating bubbles in both that are beginning to happen at the same time as government intervention ramps up and speculators anticipate what government does.

@@tinyleopard6741 Credit creation into speculation is the key problem.
In good times, the elites allowed credit guidance solely into the productive economy. (Sadly most times only to strengthen the country for a war against an inobedjent country.)
For further details I recommend Prof. Dr. Richard Werner: "Princes Of The Yen" or other lectures, also here on YT.

First of all, you don't seem to know the meaning of antisemitism, which invalidates your whole discourse. Secondly, who cares about some imaginary problems of the privileged and wealthy? No one, especially if there is a genocide being carried out right now in the middle east❤

Imagine if people calling out the Nazis in the early 1940s were called "anti-Germanic", to slander them. That is exactly what labeling critics of Israel "anti-Semitic" is, today. The difference is, the Nazis did not have influence over foreign media the way Israel does today.

@SantoTrafficanteBoss There's no genocide, we can compare what a genocide is if we look at Iraqi genocide against Kurds, Israelis aren't genociding Palestinians.

@@tinyleopard6741 we can discuss the word genocide, which has been widely misused in recent years in other contexts, but that's not the actual problem. Clearly what's happening right now in Gaza, call it how you want to call it, is a massacre of huge proportions and unique in its efficiency. Without mentioning the deliberate destruction of infrastructure and buildings and the ongoing pushing out of the population towards the Sinai desert. Massacres, ethnic cleansing, thousands of war crimes, torture, genocide - beyond words facts matter.
