This is fiction story, an alternative universe about themself.
So BTS try makin something deeper about their music and video. They prodive us a fictional story that we can follow, and analyze by ourself based on our own perception.
That's why BTS is different. We can enjoy the music, video, dancing and also a fictional storyline.

PLEASE let this be seen. If you're a fan of BTS then unsubscribe from this channel or at least try and bring this man's ignorance to attention. The guy is saying some incredibly ignorant bullshit about Korea and no BTS member would support that.
"But they're Korean aren't they? They come from a really hard place. I hate to say this, but Korea is like that, there's some pretty tough people."
Previous video: [about Korea] "It's one of the most corrupt governments around...it's still run by a dictatorship in North Korea so..."
Both of these assumptions are not only EXTREMELY incorrect (as can be proven by actual facts), but the man has already admitted to knowing nothing about Korea. The fact that he has the nerve to make such assumptions while KNOWING he knows nothing shows how ignorant he is.

And now they try to know something new. So all they need is a will to learn and study more, and all we need is to inform and guide them so they can understand more better.
No one in this world know everything. No one know something without being nesciense/ ignorance at first.

I'm going to copy and paste from a previous comment!
Some people are ignorant, but try to educate themselves and most importantly, KNOW that they need to learn. Other people are ignorant, but PRETEND they know things, make assumptions and state them as fact without considering or caring about how they generalize a group of people.
That. Is literally what racism is.
If someone said "I don't know what a Korea is, is it a type of food?" I wouldnt be mad. But it's not this man's unknowing that makes me angry, it's his personality. He admits to not knowing anything about Korea but STILL pretends to know and tries to say baseless and offensive things as fact.
If you're not ok with him continuing to believe that Korea is a dangerous, scary, and corrupt country, and that South and North Korea are connected, then shouldn't you try to correct him?
I dont mind unknowing or ignorance. I dont mind people who dont know what Korea is or what BTS is! I mind people who PRETEND they know and MOST IMPORTANTLY, assume the worst. When you know nothing, you have no right to do that. It IS rude, it IS ignorant, and it DOES deserve to be corrected.

Yes they didnt know, yes they are made a wrong assumption because they ignorance, but they are making reaction video. So this is their real reaction. This video showed about they are. Do want to see a silent reaction? For me, silent reaction is pointless.
Many comments already point out that south korea is not something like that.
      They will read it, tho.
We already know that they don't know about it. So we will also know that their assumptions will be gona be wrong. And yes when someone did a mistake, they need to be corrected.
That's the point of comment section, to spread the right information. Beside giving our oppinion, of course.
That is what u should do and what everyone else already do in comment section.
Being angry because someone nuisance, is pointless. We can just tell them, they will understand it later. what's the point of being angry? Just tell them.
If after we told them and they still make same mistake, yap. That whats the right time to be angry with them.

@@happyshare2481 There was a previous video where they said these comments and people corrected them. They havent acknowledged those comments and might not have read them at all.
No, I dont think you're getting me.
The problem is not that this is an honest reaction where they talk honestly.
The problem is not that they dont know anything about Korea.
The problem is his personality, which SHOWS through his honest reaction and through his lack of knowledge. It's the fact that hes the type of person to assume stereotypical and judgemental things about what he doesnt know anything about, and not try to do any research or even ask questions to the viewers to educate himself. It's his personality that I have a problem with.
"Would you rather watch a silent reaction?" ....you're acting like we are given two options: an ignorant and judgemental reaction or a silent one. No, we COULD have a reaction just focused on the musical content, where he doesnt try to state ridiculous things about a country he clearly doesnt understand. That's the point.
If you agree that his comments are wrong then correct him, politely if you want. If you really do think that they're okay and you want to leave him as ignorant as he is or leave it as a job to others then fine.
And I'm sorry that I need to chill??? 😐 This might be a weird concept but racism- that is, by definition, the belief in stereotypical and negative preconceptions of a culture you dont know about- actually annoys me. Hmm.

This story is fictional, it is inspired by hardships and things that youth has to deal with while growing up. This is not based on their lives exclusively, it has more about bringing attention to what kids might have to go through in their lives sometimes because not every family or person is living an amazing life. They are from South Korea and there is a lot of problems with schooling and things like that over there, it has a really high suicide rate and mental health is still pretty stigmatized over there (but there are problems like this all over the world as well which also help many people around the world to be comforted by the support). BTS do make songs adressing these kinds of situations through their music and lyrics. They want to show the problem through their music and comfort people going through tough times. This new era that you are watching is more to help people to understand what it means to love yourself and how to distinguish between real love and fake. I feel like people have been requesting you these videos because they're pretty new but it'd be nice to see you guys start from the beginning!

Okay you are both right when BTS was formed they were not told what to sing. Bang PD recruited RM initially and he could write his own songs as can suga, he told the boys to write about their experiences, hence why they write their own albums. So the songs, lyrics & videos have an element of real life for them they are sharing the struggles they have/had to help fans identify their own. Same as the albums have fictional characters as well that have an ongoing storyline. The video you are watching switches in between the various music videos, teasers to show you how they are linked together. There could be spiritual messages in there or they could be physical messages or a mixture of both. This what does our heads in as well trying to decypher them.

First of all your comment is more rude than there's is ignorant. Ignorance can be educated with facts and knowledge rudeness is just plain and simply that. You obviously dont support your fanbase as much as you would claim to or you would appreciate that fact. Firstly it doesnt abuse people and secondly it respects and gently educates. Even for me their tone and language is defensive but they also dont know much about BTS or korea for that matter. But alot of first timers dont know much about BTS, Big Hit, Kpop or Korea and army doesnt go about trying to humilate others. Its easy to see any government as corrupt you only have to watch the media,. So instead of being obnoxious at least try to help correct any misconceptions before critising. If you wish to not watch of unsubscribe then do so, but not everyone is as cold and cut and dry like you are.

@@ishtar990 I've left comments before and they havent acknowledged them. I also dont mind using a rude or aggressive tone to someone who I think doesnt deserve respect. I dont respect this guy for many reasons, including the kind of content they create on a daily basis and the way they do their reactions. I think that there are different types of ignorance. Some people are ignorant, but try to educate themselves and most importantly, KNOW that they need to learn. Other people are ignorant, but PRETEND they know things, make assumptions and state them as fact without considering or caring about how they generalize a group of people.
That. Is. Literally. What racism is. I will NOT respect a racist after trying multiple times to talk to them respectfully.
I'm making an assumption about this man right now. But I'm using quotes to back up my case, and am trying to get him to realize what's so problematic about him.
If you're not as "cut and dry" as I am and you're okay with him continuing to believe that Korea is a dangerous, scary, and corrupt country, and that South and North Korea are connected, go ahead. I guess I should have known since your comment was not at all interested in even mentioning his mistake. You're admonishing me for correcting him rudely (AGAIN, after trying to correct him multiple times before) when you never even tried to correct him politely in the first place?
I dont mind unknowing or ignorance. I dont mind people who dont know what Korea is or what BTS is!! I mind people who PRETEND they know and MOST IMPORTANTLY, assume the worst. When you know nothing, you have no right to do that. It IS rude, it IS ignorant, and it DOES deserve to be corrected.
I'm an ARMY, but I'm a Korean first and an ARMY second. "You obviously dont care about your fanbase"...not as much as I care about ignorance towards my culture, no I don't. If you're an ARMY and giving our fandom a good name in the eyes of one ignorant (I stand by this) reactor is more important than trying to correct his twisted view of a nation, then you're prioritizing your fandom too much.

    • @ishtar990
      @ishtar990 6 ปีที่แล้ว

Okay I will explain this as simply as i can and frankly you can take it or leave as its not really up to me. I do not prioritize anyone for that matter. The reactor is just that a reactor, can take it or leave it, I am an army member - am aware that like myself they to have faults and failings as we all do. I am an australian and fully aware that my country is also not perfect for crying out loud we came from either settlers or convicts. So sure i am proud to be australian and proud to be army but i dont throw that in peoples faces if they disagree with my thoughts. That only further pushes people away. Everyone is entitled to there views. I have very different views on a lot of countries to what my friends do, but i am also aware they are not aware of some of the history i know, so we agree to disagree or respect them and drop the subject and proving my point is not as important. I am happy for that your korean, (I love alot of things korean and have for years now) and that your army, in fact thats great. But like myself its disappointing when people defend something to the extreme to the point it pushes people away not creates awareness and enlightens people, aggression does that and your epilogue paragraphs in response only highlight that fact. But anyhow thanks for your thoughts i have mine as does the other viewers. Have a good day.

    • @hobiful2681
      @hobiful2681 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

@@ishtar990 We can agree to disagree about how we address ignorance and we can agree to disagree about whether or not the reactor was really being ignorant. But I need to let you know that I wasnt concerned about the reactor's opinion/thoughts, but rather what he saw as fact.
Something like "is this reactor ignorant?" is a matter of opinion, which is why if you want to believe that he is not, I'll leave it at that. But something like "is Korea one of the most corrupt countries in the world?" or "is Korea a dangerous place to live?", while it can be subjective, can also be answered with OBJECTIVE fact. I'm not trying to make the reactor believe a new way of thinking, but rather hear the objective fact, which is different from his twisted, again, ignorant idea of what a culture is like.
If you had told me that you disliked my method of trying to correct him but agreed that he should stop believing such a wrong and hurtful thing, and that you would also like to introduce to him the real facts about other cultures, but in a polite way, I would have come away from this feeling that you must be an incredibly decent person.
However, what you seem to be saying is that you would rather continue to listen to him talk about how terrible a country Korea must be and not correct him EITHER rudely OR politely, for the sake of respect. Which is disappointing, because that's how ignorance continues.
I understand you probably don't respect my methods. I dont personally respect that you dismiss his actions because hes "just a reactor". I just hate proud ignorance more than I hate to be rude or outspoken. Again, agree to disagree.

The story is not their real life story from each member, the story line is made, it is called BTS universe. Ever BTS album comes with notes which has story line which was started from "I need you" era. And Korea is not a country of poverty, of course there are rich people and poor people, but the country itself is well developed country. BTS story line deals with teenagers poverty, depression, family violence, low self-esteem, drug problem. Which is common subject to all young people in many countries. That is why so many young people are inspired by BTS subject, and it is relateable to people's life.

the song you were talking about are probably their solo songs in wings album, and yes they wrote the lyrics based on their life experience, for example: jk's begin, he is the youngest in the band, and begin was written to his co-members, and how he loves them..they cried when they knew that their youngest wrote it for them, for more info look it up, there is also Jimin's lie.V's stigma, Jhope's mama, Suga's first love, RM's reflection, and Jin's awake.
However, the story line in their MV's is fictional.

Cool that you guys are trying to understand BTS a little more :) but yeah, this is all fictional, almost all their videos follow a subtle story line and their albums come with notes giving a bit more of insight into the fictional story line. Also, i think you might be confused with North Korea and South Korea, NK is the one that has the dictatorship whereas SK (where BTS is from) is just like any other developed country, has poor and rich people, has social problems, but it is not 'specially hard' to live there.
I will suggest you to react from the beginning of the story line BUT i do understand that you react to whatever your subscribers tell you to react to, so hopefully you can just keep enjoying BTS regardless of not getting the storyline 100% :)

BTS do write almost all of their songs based on their own experiences, but since the Love Yourself series, BTS/BigHit did chose 7 stories from their fans (I remember they did something about having fans send in true stories about their lives to the company) that they find they can use the message to get more awareness. They also incorporate lots of messages based on Books that they read and the struggles that the youth have to face. So they incorporates their own stories and the characters into one BIG story line. Therefore, both of you are right. It is half half.

The lyrics of the songs are based on one's own experiences, readings and other real life things.
Each song is made based on a theme that is given by the production that fits the lyrics in the videos mixing with the storyline.
Each of them embodies a psychological problem. The stories are to illustrate these problems from their (fictional) origin to their (real) healing process.

This is a fictional story. A beautiful, meaningful story that has really helped myself and many other people. Their MV's have had a long running story since the beginning and along the way have released 'notes' like the diary entry of each member to help piece the story together. This love yourself series has sadly ended however it was really a fantastic and meaningful series. Even though this is fiction each of the boys have gone through their fair share of trials. Such as two of the members have lost really close family members. (Taehyung V had lost his grandmother a couple of years ago and recently his grandfather. Same for Jin) Suga has dealt with depression and social anxiety. Jimin once had a period of extreme dieting which was also scary. Currently the boys are doing great from what we know and are stronger than ever but I though you should know that along their incredible journey they have had some some horrible personal turmoil but have overcome it.

BTW something that will help here, Jungkook is the baby of the group MAKNAE as they are called. In some korean groups the maknae can be the one scolded or tormented or hurt the most, its not uncommon. But in JK case he has said he had 6 brothers who pretty much raised him, he said its not the performance schedule that is difficult its when his brothers are struggling and there is nothing he feels he can do about it, JK almost never got into BTS because he was that shy, so shy infact he would wait for the others to go to sleep before showering, the boys love and support made him who he is now, he also said in a translated interveiw that he is a manifestation of all of their personalities together. He is good at what he does but also needs to find his own path as well like his BTS brothers are doing.

It has some points from their real life(no the seizures are not, fortunately) but most are for their characters, they have different stories because they want their songs to fit a variety of people's real life stories. Their music is for healing that is why all this and it goes deeper than any person sees it superficialy when listening first to the songs tbh. :)

This whole thing is fiction. School principle, abandonment and all come from videos, music videos and THE NOTES (little books that come with the albums, its like a small compilation of the boys diary´s entry where they tell us a small part of the story. The notes have been delivered to us little by little during each album´s releases)
Dont worry about attacks. We all understand how very confusing this story line is...it has been going on since 2015 and not even us understand it nor have a solid conclusion.
P.s. it is not based on them

This is actually a fictional story, it's not their real life, but it's a story telling of some sort. An exaggeration of moments that might happen in ones life, in some of the MVs you'll see a logo that says BTSU means a universe. Though some of these are not real, the struggles are, like having an abusive parents, being a problem child, self esteem, controlling parents, getting fostered, committing crimes, being from poverty, all happen in everyday youth, yet people look at it lowly. Not much people see those things, and assumes that everything is fine with a lot of teens and adult-teens, so this is their way of story telling extremes that may not have happened to them, but may have happened to other people and people can relate to it. Their songs aren't just inspiring, but sometimes have a story telling theme to it, and also as RM said it's their way of showing the world Our struggles and it's his way of telling our stories to people

I appreciate you guys trying to understand all this, BTS has had their fans trying to theorize what everything means since the beginning. Every time they do a video everything in their videos has a reference to something that happened somewhere else. As far as I know these are storylines from other videos. They do have a bunch of theory videos starting around the MV "I Need You" which is where you see V kill his stepfather and they also have short story videos, not music videos, where it shows each member and the story for that person. So 7 members, 7 short stories. It's all very intriguing and keeps the fans connected to them. This group is not like any other group anywhere aside from singing and dancing and that's why fans love them.

  • @classical7

Folks, this is NOT real life...this is a fictional storyline...part of the BTS universe...it's a theory video...ONE of many theory videos out there. This fictional storyline started over two and half years ago and fans have been trying to figure it all out. BTS feed us very well by intertwining art and literature into their music...telling us a story. Sadly, part of the LOVE YOURSELF series...part of the fictional storyline...is coming to an end...with Love Yourself: Answer (the title to their latest album). So in order to find true love, one must love oneself..."Answer: Love Myself" (title song from their latest album). BTS isn't just a group of singers/rappers...there's so much more to them...they're storytellers...giving us so much to digest and this fictional storyline is just one of many gifts BTS has created for us (ARMYS).

I think if your not a real fan of their music and interested in theories and digging into meanings, there is no point for you to watch a video like this, it's just confusing for you. It's a fictionalized story. It may be based on or taken from real people they knew growing up in real life but we don't know that. I've only heard of maybe one or two different musical singers or groups that have a fictionalized story/characters that run throughout their music albums. These guys are doing it through music videos which i haven't seen myself before. I understand you are taking money from and suggestions for reactions from your subs. But they should have the forethought to explain it's fictional to you before they have you react to it or realize as a channel that they follow you probably won't be interested in this kind of stuff. Rm and Suga are both very deep writers and like hidden meanings or messages. Frankly, you haven't reacted to "Who is BTS? the Seven Members of Bangtan" or anything that explains the real people in the group and their real stories. Diving into their fictional world head first with out even knowing the real members names and personalities is only going to confuse you further. The fictionalized world is for their true diehard fans, If your just interested in listening to good music then stick with that and ask for their best songs to react to. I love alot of their hip hop infused songs and am interested in their dancing so I watch alot of their dance practice videos. Let your subs know what you are digging or liking so far with bts and ask for more of that for them to suggest.

Now the culture is different so they do tend to work harder at their craft and being the best at what they do with great education cuz there's a lot of competition. They also take really good care of their skin and have high beauty standards People dress very trendy and fashionable over there. First, I think you guys are getting your countries mixed up. BTS is from South Korea not North Korea, outside of some cultural differences it's just like in the US. South Korea is a democracy and their president is an elected official. Most people are familiar with Samsung, LG and Hyundai, all 3 are South Korean companies which means South Korea is one of the most technological advances countries in the world.
Second, most of BTS videos take place in the fictional BU (Bangtan Universe) which means they aren't true. While most their songs lyrics are personal taken from their real lives in their videos they play characters in an story that have been ongoing since 2015 connecting most of their videos to each other. I hope this helped. Also Jon their is nothing wrong with a man liking BTS.
