- A moment of disappointment was turned into an unforgettable night for a Kitchener man and his teenage son who was attending his first Maple Leafs game, thanks to a pair of strangers.
Some people just have class. Kudos to those 2 guys for getting the jersey.
Well, let's give the guy sitting behind credit for not trying to grab the 2nd jersey.

This is why Toronto is one of the best sports towns!! I am a Philly guy for life and will never forget seeing a flyers/leafs game some years ago and how great that experience was. This is what being a true hockey fan is all about. Ferda.
OK,OK,OK. True story. Was meeting my brother for a Canucks v Montreal game maybe 40 years ago. Hanging out out front as a pre-teen and 3 different families just walked up and gave me a spare ticket.
40 years later and you have never forgotten that act of kindness, this is what its all about. I guarantee this boy will be looking back in 40 years and remembering their kindness also.

For sure. I never forgot the guy running the massive excavator on my street when I was like 5, when my mom and I walked by and I stared in awe, he took the time to stop, shut it off and ask if I wanted to get in the bucket and ride to the bottom of the hole he dug. Clearly he was joking, but i was like 5, i shyly said no and he laughed.
I repaid the favor in 2012 when a little kid maybe 4 at most stared in awe of the semi I owned in front of my own shop door as he walked by with his parents after a local baseball game a block away. I didn't hesitate to ask if he wanted to sit in the truck, and then say better ask dad first (to be adult like), he hit the air horn and loved it all. He'll never forget that, random kindness and being a good person. Just as they did, you can bash the poor behavior or be a better person instead.

@Stop the BS If you reach over the person in front and catch it directly in front of them, I call that theft. That is how it was described. A 15 year old is still a kid, especially when the player points to him to throw it to him. If the guy had just been throwing shirts in the crowd without pointing first, it would have been slightly different.

My first hockey game at the Montreal Forum in the 70’s. I was so excited. Playing the Capitals. A shot from Guy Lafeur came into the crowd and hit me in the forehead. They took me out to get me checked out. When I came back the guy next to me told me the guy behind me grabbed the puck and would not give it to me. I was probably 8 years old. At the end of the game they took me to the dressing room where I got a stick and a puck from the team. Played street hockey with he stick and it is long gone but I still have the puck.

I see that happening all the time at games when items are tossed to the crowd and it breaks my heart to see the kids faces when adults grab what was tossed to them right out of their hands! Adults can be so cruel sometimes without even thinking about it - then another steps up and heals the hurt. For that we can always be grateful when it happens, it just does not happen enough! Thanks you to the two very kind hearted and gentle spirited men that made the young fans first Leaf's game so awesome and forever memorable for him!
