    Thank you for the stories.
A lot of the stories have the same themes…children wants money from their retired parents, and then ignores the parents once they get the money.
Or the parents have to lie that they do not have money to give to the children.
What percentage of this is happening in Vietnam ?
    Very sad to hear.

That's a very thought-provoking topic. It's unfortunate that, in modern society, some young people may prioritize financial gain over familial bonds. This situation can strain the relationship between parents and children. In Vietnamese culture, filial piety and care for one's parents are highly valued, yet the reality sometimes diverges from these ideals. Surveys indicate that a significant number of parents feel financial pressure from their children, and many end up hiding their financial situations. This highlights the need for a shift in awareness and actions from both parents and children.

@@vandieuynghiaytb Young people’s sense of entitlement (guess it’s happening in Viet Nam too, not just in the Western culture)…not good.

Thank you for sharing! Indeed, the sense of entitlement without effort can create many issues, not just among young people in the West but also in Vietnam. It's important to encourage hard work and responsibility to build positive values in life.
