My wife uses the Silverado duckett and absolutely loves it. I've used it once or twice and thought it had really great action I just love my vendettas and can get them for 20-30 dollars cheaper. Also have a 7'1 bass X. All really versatile great feel rods for the price points
I have the medium heavy 7"6" fast action. Love it. I'm thinking about getting the same one as you since I broke two rode within a month. I broke the SXL Shimano and Dobyns Furies.
Thats a shame about those 2 broken rods. Never had an slx but i love the fury swimbait rod. This duckett is great for froggin/pitchin or even throwing paddle tail swimbaits or swimjigs around heavy cover.
Thank you so much for the info my man. About to pick up one myself but can’t decide on a medium or a medium heavy for just an all around go-to rod. Any recommendations?
To be honest i RARELY flip with this rod being down here in FL. I usually use a 7'6 extra heavy to flip. This has primarily been my frog rod. It seems to do really well dragging em outtta thick stuff, but my personal preference is to go with a bit more backbone in close quarters vertical hookset situations.
