You did an amazing job of putting this video together. I've seen a lot/most pictures of Nirvana/Kurt Cobain out there, but this had a lot that I hadn't seen yet. Thank you!
I simply love this song... so deep... so heavy... so dizzy. What I hear: It's not cold enough Please put this side up She is moving through Can we show are faces now? I`m not *in* *a* *string* She's not turning green Shameful as it seems Can we show our faces now? Endless climb I am blind Why can't I *hear*? *Come* *alive* Speaking a phrase Instantly grown I am blind Waiting in line Why am I sure?
Awesome, really atmospheric song. I'm also trying to write my own music, and I'm very much inspired by Kurt, and the kind of atmosphere I personally derive from Nirvana's music. Even if I try to write a song that sounds as much as Nirvana as I can, it still sounds like something I made and I'm really happy that I'm still able to appreciate my own personal touch, because it's inevitable - my own personal interpretation of "how I listen" to Nirvana - what I derive from the music. Mostly, I think we all can agree on the most basic feeling a given song is trying to convey, but at some point, when you've listened to all of the songs of a band over and over(or just the same song over and over), you're then able to detect a pattern in the style of the song(s) - and it's in the details that your interpretation of the emotion of a song becomes more specific and personal to you and you alone. I think this has partially something to do with your own personal experiences in life - how you are as a person and perceive the world - and the memories and the things you've been through / are going through. Your personal condition, or whatever. Though, I'm never really reminded of any specific memory by a song - for me, it's more indefinite, if that makes sense - summarized by the unified atmosphere all the experiences amount to. Like, let's say a song is conveying a darker atmosphere, like with this song(that's an example of the basic feeling that I think we all can agree on). From there, it depends on what dark aspects of life you have specifically experienced of all the dark aspects in life one can experience. Then, if the dark atmosphere of the song speaks to your specifics, the song is then able to host a part of you. I'm thinking about uploading some of my rough sound bits on TH-cam, when I am more content with my voice. I have been trying different things with my voice and have found that I shouldn't worry about what my voice sounds like in the beginning, because I first need to focus on getting the right singing technique down. I'm talking about the technique in which Kurt applies insane amounts of pressure on his diaphragm. That is what makes him able to sing with a voice that sounds breathy and I really like that style of singing.
Thanks go to Jack Endino for the recording and pushing Kurt to release this album. He never wanted to but Jack pushed him. Thanks Jack! The real godfather of the Seattle scene.
Fuck yeah, Endino is incredible. He produced the first two Coffin Break albums, screaming in trees, bleach, and the list goes on he has soooo many underrated gems under his career
it's not colder, Ron, where's this so called nuclear winter? But you aren't supposed to notice the grand canyon used to be a city, like lots of other mountain type things, and lots of things happened before you were born, "the replay's done for you"....
O Cobarde Tobi Vail wasn't in this video. As far as I know, there aren't any photos of Kurt and her together. I'm assuming the one you saw was Kim Deal.. Or Courtney Love.
O Cobarde ah, I forgot about that photo. That actually isn't Tobi Vail, although people think it is. A lot of people also say it's Tracy Marander, but it isn't. I saw a source with the actual name of the girl, but I forgot where I found it. I'll let you know if I do.
Cbj"Hey Duke do you want to go get some water in this fine establishment," Fr"hax15 there he goes again, Cbj it's 1 in the afternoon, go to the Coca Cola fountain?" Cbj"whatx3? (fast) Fr"don't you want to be sober enough to see my sons Karachi)?
duke earl yes they do. I know both I'm about to speak of are from an entire different world of music and childhood especially since 1 is a show boater about anything he does and Kurt wasn't at all and that's 1 huge reason I respect him so much and miss him but on the kings of Leon unplugged Caleb followill talked mentioned when he met Bono and he told him some of the best musicians he'd met were people that were running towards or away from God wich I thought was pretty interesting and made alot of sence to someone who loves real music about real issues because nobody honestly knows how certain issues feel like the majority of the so called music industry now that's all fake hip hop bullshit and usually those we see in TV now are a relative or freind of another so called musician. anymore some of the best musicians I've heard the last decade are homeless people at a bus stop or train station
+ilan pro Bullshit...He made it big by being unhappy and knew his fans expected him to stay that way and keep cranking out angst anthems when he was already drifting towards other things...He also knew that he would ultimately have to let everyone down to survive...so bang...problem solved...Had he not been dealing with a heroin addiction and someone like Courtney, both of which can greatly cloud the mind, he may not have overlooked the option of simply telling the world to fuck off and then doing whatever he felt like doing...but he did miss it...so...the end...
The feels during the chorus man...
My thoughts exactly, the intensity is overwhelming.
crazy, ive watched this 57k times
miss u Kurt

This is beautiful and haunting.. the way that Led Zeppelin's "Kashmir" is, you know? But unique. My favorite besides "Dive" on this album.
Awesome photo montage. Awesome song.
Uno de los mejores temas de Nirvana sin dudas
R.I.p.Kurt u r still missed
Seeing that photo of Kurt and SY's Thurston Moore together included as part of this video's montage wins a thumbs-up from me!
Pretty sure the chorus lyrics Are;
Endless climb
I am blind
Why can't I hear?
Come Alive
Speak in phrase
Instantly Grown
I am blind
Why am I sure
In this crime
I am blind
Why can't I hear?
color blind
Speaking phrase
Instantly Grown
I am blind
waiting in line
I think the last lyric is "waiting in line" not "why am I sure"
I hear, in the sky
I am blind
Why can't I hear
Call or rhyme
Speaking a phrase..
?
I am blind...
I am blind..
i heard
in this crime
colour me blind
speak me friend
isnt it goes
i am blind
waiting in line
ooohhh....
2:26 Oh my Dios!!
I simply love this song... so deep... so heavy... so dizzy.
What I hear:
It's not cold enough
Please put this side up
She is moving through
Can we show are faces now?
I`m not *in* *a* *string*
She's not turning green
Shameful as it seems
Can we show our faces now?
Endless climb
I am blind
Why can't I *hear*?
*Come* *alive*
Speaking a phrase

Please put this side up
She is moving through
Can we show our faces now?
I'm not interesting
She's not turning green
Shameful as it seems

I am blind
Why can't I hear?
Color blind
Speaking a phrase
Instantly grown
I am blind
Waiting in line
It's not cold enough
Please put this side up
