    Wilson Combat does fantastic work and I’m definitely a G-19 fan. But for that money I’d rather have one of their Beretta 92 offerings, which are comparable in cost.

    First of all, thank you for showing the gun. I saw this at my local gun store, and I was curious as to why such an elevated price tag. Based on what you have showed me, it confirms my initial suspicion that the price corresponded more with the Wilson Combat/Vickers branding than anything making any significant improvement to the firearm itself. We all know that it’s the operator and not the tool that makes the difference anyway, but we always think something has some magical quality when it is unique. Thanks again for making the video.

    Glock is an excellent tool, worth that much money well its a personal preference. Personally I wouldn't spend that much on a modified Glock. Mine had sights and a connector and they have served me extremely well.

    My regular Gen 3, 4 or 5 Glock 19 right out of the box will defend me against violent offenders just as good as a Wilson combat $1600. It’s 2% gun and 98% shoulder-to-holder.

    I have 3 Glock 19 Gen 5’s, and I’ve only changed out the sights (Trijicon HD). They already have the indentation at the top of the grip, so that’s nothing new. I’d love to see $1,000 in upgrades, but just don’t. I was curious about the WC version, so thanks for sharing! 👍👍👍👍🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

Everything done to that gun you can do yourself . Again let’s not talking bad of them . It’s just a fact . Experior Check it out . That’s going to be my next purchase . Boy, you could just about use an XS big dot front sight. For home defense that may be perfect. Vickers makes a very slightly extended slide catch. I’m surprised they didn’t include one on this. I’ve always said I’d like the G19 better if it just had a bit more grip (17 is too long). I got one of those plugs and dremeled that ridge off and stippled it. It’s just right. Now it fits my hand better. Great video sir, thanks.

    I’ve shot Glocks since 1988. I’ve owned (and carried on duty) many different Glock models in 9mm, .40, 10mm, .45, and even the Glock 44 in .22Lr. I also love Wilson Combat. But sorry, this is like fixing a problem that doesn’t exist.

    Very nice review; thanks. I noticed that when I doing dry fire on my G17/G34, and Beretta APX, the slide will "jump" a little bit -- left, right or up (the APX is kind crazy, I doubt this one has quality problem), but the G43x, Shadow CR920 doesn't has such "issue" and all the hummer pistols just fine. How is the Wilson Combat? Thanks for any reply...

    I put that Vicker’s trigger shoe in one of my Glocks. Worst “upgrade” I’ve ever made. After a short amount of shooting, that safety blade in the trigger becomes very uncomfortable. Replaced with an Overwatch Precision trigger and MUCH better.

    Very nice presentation, as I've come to expect from your channel. I really like Wilson pistols, but I'm thinking a Glock 19, Overwatch Precision Trigger, Vickers Battle Sights, Talon grips, 1,000 rounds of ammunition, and it would shoot just as well and I still wouldn't be at $1,600. That Wilson Glock isn't like comparing a Lexus to a Toyota. It's more like comparing a stock Toyota Camry with a Camry that has some body cladding, new wheels and painted brake calipers over the stock rotors - more glitz, but no more performance. Nope - hard pass.

  • @asphaltannihilator157
    @asphaltannihilator157 ปีที่แล้ว

    Lmao they don’t do different patterns of front slide serrations. Gen 5 Glocks just didn’t have front slide serrations when they were first released so the original Vickers Elite versions added them, hence why you can see the Glock logo through them and they appear differently. Now they just charge you the same for less machining.

    I personally don't see the $1000 of added value and would rather customize in my own preferences. The slide was pretty much untouched and I would have it direct milled for an RMR is the biggest thing. I can see this lower as a 80% going for $400 to $600.

  • @jimelliott8438
    @jimelliott8438 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    I think of Glocks as being utilitarian so in my mind it's not worth this price. I did put a 3 1/2 pound Ghost trigger ($12.99) in a Glock 30s and 22 but that's about the extent of my expense for customization. That was definitely worth the cost, it didn't really reduce the trigger pull to 3 1/2 pounds but definitely smoothed out the trigger pull and got it down to under 5 pounds.

    This one’s kind of like a Porsche 911 base model. Functionally it’s ‘the bar’, and it probably rewards and amazes with every spin taken. But is it special? Man, I dunno. No doubt a great tool for a job, but it doesn’t resonate with me from a distance.
    For $1,600 (IMO), I begin to consider the aesthetics beyond ergonomics. No matter the performance, I’d walk up to it and think ‘seas of polymer’. Even an internally-modded P-10C’s slide would wink at you each time you reach for it. Confounding over coffee for sure. 😂
