Isola 2000 est une station de ski du sud des Alpes françaises, à moins d'une heure et demie de route de Nice. L'idée d'une station de ski est venue d'un ancien officier de l'armée britannique et skieur olympique, Peter Boumphrey, à la fin des années 1960. Il a ouvert ses portes en décembre 1971. Isola 2000 compte actuellement 2 télécabines, 9 télésièges, 10 téléskis et 1 funiculaire. La station compte plus de 120 km de pistes. Il y a 7 pistes vertes, 21 pistes bleues, 11 pistes rouges et 4 pistes noires. A 2000m, la station est l'une des plus hautes des Alpes. Ceci, avec un micro-climat favorable, assure un enneigement assez fiable.

Isola 2000 is a ski resort in the southern French Alps, less than an hour and a half drive from Nice. The idea of a ski resort first came from a British Army ex-officer, and Olympic skier, Peter Boumphrey, in the late 1960s. It opened in December of 1971. Isola 2000 currently has 2 gondola lifts, 9 chairlifts, 10 button lifts and 1 funicular. The resort has over 120 km of piste. There are 7 green runs, 21 blue runs, 11 red runs, and 4 black runs. At 2000m, the resort is one of the highest in the Alps. This, with a favourable micro-climate, ensures fairly reliable snow cover.
