- American Airlines said American Eagle Flight 5342, en route from Wichita to Washington, D.C. Reagan National Airport (DCA), was involved in an accident and landed in the Potomac River. The flight was operated by PSA Airlines with a CRJ-700. trib.al/B5tjiUU
Military Helicopter on a Training mission of any kind shouldn't be colliding with a landing airplane like EVER.
why are people blaming American airlines when the military failed to comply with orders. that airline is fine but the people that protect and serve our country were not protecting or serving. and why do military training over a crowded city.
Blackhawk flew purposely and directly into AA flight.
Let's not act like American airlines doesn't have the most crashes in history by far.
Because initially the news kept reporting it as the other way around.
@@robertbaconiiyou mean with all those Boeing 737 jets falling out the sky or having all the safety issues regarding the Boeing fleets.

That video shows helicopter heading turn and head right into plane! My condolences to all envolved
Its the helicopters fault not the damn plane !!!!!!!!!!!!
Is anyone else amazed by how many people write incredibly dumb comments? Are we really this stupid?
Yup, sure are!
Yes
Prayers and thoughts to all impacted 😢
The way these anchors speak ... It's almost like they are AI generated... no real emotions.
Whatever
that's just how news anchors have always been lmao nothing to do with ai
The helicopter clearly collided with the plane...
I call bs, that helicopter has radar.
This is just insanity.
That female anchor sounds like she is crying.
Because it's very sad stuff man. Terrifying stuff.
I think that's just her voice. @@NYUArchaeology
The CRJ isn't a large slow aircraft. It's fairly agile. I remember how quickly it lands compared to larger aircraft. This is a terrible tragedy.

Training excercise? By a very busy airport & night? Planned. As a distraction, for what??😢😮
Airspace is getting very crowded these days.
There is too much going on in such a small space. Why have helicopter training so close to airport, train tracks, and high traffic roads; all of which are distracting.
U.S. Figure Skating confirmed to WUSA9 early Thursday morning that several members of "our skating community" were aboard American Airlines Flight 5342 that crashed into the Potomac River ─ including athletes, coaches and family members.
Who was on the plane?
Super Stupid decisions from the Military helicopter trainees stuff like this doesn’t make sense what is the Blackhawk doing flying around landing commercial airplanes inconsiderately, it’s too much sky for stuff like this to happen smh
Prayers 🙏
Damn air traffic control
Condolences to those lost
Trsndponder was off, atc was not paying attention, someone flew off course?
They will make it American Airlines fault wait and watch. Not air traffic controllers or the military. Exactly air traffic controllers. But Donald will say things happen. American airlines needs to refuse to fly in or out of this airport.
The White House and the military will probably say that it was the Airline's fault. If it was there at that particular time, the accident would not have happened.
🙏
I fly American frequently. How sad. RIP.
Once Brasil in 2006, American pilots turned off the Button and more than one hundred and twenty passagens died . Avião da gol 1907
Pete did you go to AA and his Am??
My God❤🙏🏾
TCAS = Traffic Alert and Collision Avoidance System not Terminal Collision Avoidance System
The disrespect to the helicopter crew is insane saying they crashed on purpose… 3 soldiers didn’t just wake up today and decide to crash into an airplane. So many things can cause an aircraft accident, even if it was negligence from the helicopter that doesn’t mean it was on purpose. Prayers to ALL people involved no matter what, and take your tinfoil hats off no one on that plane would he targeted by the government nor push any government agenda by causing this.
People can't accept that terrible freak accidents happen sometimes, so they have to make it into a deliberate conspiracy so they can blame someone instead of facing the fact that sometimes seemingly minor mistakes have terrible consequences.
Yes and it's weird regardless.
Minor mistakes? Over 60 families lost loved ones to this.. get yourself together please
Not freak accidents! Arrogance. You’re in training. You have no business being that close to a passenger plane.
ah. military can do no wrong, eh? yer credibility is gone, now, in reality.
RIP

Sounds like a dei air traffic controller
Stop hiding behind an acronym and just be racist with your whole chest.
