North Korea tested a "hypersonic" missile early this morning as South Korea and the US began joint air drills. North Korea's "hypersonic" missile test failed and the rocket exploded before hitting its target. But the test sent a message to the US and South Korea. Pyongyang has also released another fleet of "trash" balloons towards the south.

The problem with hypersonic missiles is they make a huge radar signature but rely on being too fast to target quick enough before it's too late.
Here's a fact, America had a very successful manned hypersonic aircraft in 1958 so I wouldn't believe they are behind anyone.
