Wow, amazing to see this run so quickly. I wrote the main guide for this route (and the other secret routes) on Steam over the course of probably 24 hours of gameplay, and it's astounding how easy you make it look. Congratulations!
Looks like I got here just in time. It works with controllers(Xbox at least) after you switch it to controller instead of keyboard in the settings menu.
Bro I fucking hated it the first time. Took like an hour to learn. Then found out you had to go back through it like 3 more times to get all endings and almost shelved the game. I decided to persevere and by the time I was going there for the last time I was nailing it, like it was nothing and it felt soooo satisfying. I'm not usually one for tough as nails platforming challenges. Hollow Knight is my favourite Metroidvania but I've still never done the Path of Pain. But god damn was it satisfying as fuck to do the spike maze the last time and just breezing through it
Ha, didn't realize this was Vicas until Geop's donation. Who knew he could do badass speedrunning as well as commenting on a, uh, more leisurely Dark Souls let's play?
Coincidentally only just played this game for the first time just before AGDQ22. Absolutely incredible metroidvania, fast becoming an all time favorite with hindsight, and incredible run!
