@@oliviafanders Super excited for you. G'town is on my list for my daughter. I think yours is an interesting case. You got into G'town, Wesleyan, GW and W&M. All REALLY tough schools to get into. And it looks like you submitted your SATs for all four.
@@21stcenturydadd Yes, I did! That didn't even cross my mind after I got my acceptances in, but that is interesting. Georgetown requires you to submit all of the SAT scores you've ever received, but for the rest of the schools, I just submitted my SAT when my score was above the median. There's definitely something to be said for sending in scores regardless though.
she’s obv a very dedicated student and put herself out there, but for the top top schools she’s def not a top applicant. not throwing shade, just how i see it
@@imauz1127 i mean her sat score might not be the typical ivy average of 1500+ but she was very close and still got a very good score, and otherwise seems literally perfect to me in every other aspect (also not throwing shade at you, i’m just very impressed!)

Thank you so much! At first, it does seem a bit overwhelming and scary, but you just have to trust that you will end up somewhere great. I obviously got a lot of rejections, but I'm still going to the perfect place for me! You will too!

the lower 25th percentile sat score of the ivies are around low 1500s-1530 so i don't think it would've boosted her application

Congratulations on getting into Georgetown!!!! your stats are honestly amazing and is great that you got into your top choice school since you are really interested an already working on what you love. the next part is with no intention of demeriting your effort, it makes it even more impressive tbh, i was just reflecting in cultural shock and im sorry if it was unconfortable in any way.
As an Argentinian college student,the amount of distinctions you have to get throughout highschool in order to get into a good college in the US is so crazy. I study in the best ranked college in Argentina (UBA) and i only went to highschool and passed the introductory classes in order to get into my major.(as most people in Argentina since most colleges don´t care about the stuff we did in highschool).

Rejection is not the word to be used. Rather the college was not fortunate for getting you admitted. Every human being on Earth is born for a purpose. Life is not only getting educated but critical thing in life is learning. There is no concept of Ivy League schools. The college themselves self advertise as Ivy. Ultimately being noble and dedication for a larger cause for the society is critical for one's success.

Thank you! I got really decent aid packages from Georgetown, NYU, and Wesleyan. The rest were all merit scholarships, but none were enough to cover the cost of attendance!

Thank you so much! I’m not sure how the process works at your school, but once you get the club set up, it’s actually pretty easy to register for conferences. There’s plenty of videos online about how it works + what to do too!!

I really struggled freshman year because of some familial issues but got it together this year, my unweighted gpa’s going to be a 3.75 best case scenario what do I do 😭

Wonder if the outcome would have been different if you had sent SAT to all schools. If I had your SAT score I would had lol. I know people who got into Princeton with lower SAT than you. You did really well. Good luck with everything.
