- Meet Russell! The sweetest cow who waits every day for his favorite kid to get home from school.
We talked to Laerke about how Russell flies in her window to watch TV with her son 🖤

A friend for Life, crows can actually live up to 80 years
@@mikasibil203 I think you might be thinking of ravens. Crows have a shorter lifespan, but maybe they could get up to that age too. The oldest crow I've heard of was 59, which is still very old! It's interesting they can live that long even if it is an outlier.
@@Mac03899 Yes, You are right, my mistake, Is that in my language Raven and crows are called the same so I always confuse them in english

In some indigenous cultures, befriending a crow/raven is very important for our protection.
interesting!i honestly first thought about the movie maleficent and how the crow is teh babys guardian angel!
That’s sounds stupid 😂
My buddy who is half Native American told me a medicine man revealed that he was a crow/raven.
Dont exactly know what that means, but he is very genuine and nice.
In all Indigenous cultures an animal that befriends you makes you a Shaman.

The way that crow is hopping down that dirt road beside that baby is so precious. A children’s book should be wrote about these two. That is such precious imagery

He’s guarding him, what a cutie. Crows get a bad rep but they are truly intelligent, lovely birds.
So intelligent that they, in fact, hold a grudge, just like humans.
I've seen some studies and yes, crows are very intelligent.
It's wonderful to see a child being raised by a gentle, attentive mother who guides his behavior instead of controlling him or making it all about herself. That's rare these days and it explains why he seems like such a happy, free spirit! Lovely bond 🥰
Truly wonderful!!
We have an entire video complementing the Crow. We should talk more about Otto's mother and how great a job she does filming this.
Oh, i didn't know the crow was the mother! Wow
Russell Crow, glorious!
Are you not entertained?!
Ahhh! I was wondering how they got his name😊
I just understood that...

Omg I didn’t even realize that until I read your remark. Fabulous!
The crow sees the innocence of the child & trusts him. Also, I think he's protective of him. 🤗🥰

What an amazing friendship! ❤
I believe this is not just a crow but a loved one watching over him from heaven 😢❤😂
@@tinamarierobey9013That's a beautiful way to put it!
This isn't the first time a crow has chosen to protect something that could kill it. There is a story of a crow raising and protecting a kitten. I think you can find it on TH-cam. The crow would interact and feed the kitten what it found.
good on the parent too, never leaving them unsupervised. that way she can make sure both bird and kid are safe
As an Indian, we believe that the crow has the soul of the grandfather/ grandmother or great grandfather/ great grandmother who is watching out for the kid❤
💯
I hope you don't really believe that.
So you believe your grandfather transformed into an animal?
@@botbat9645 my grandfather is very much alive, thank you

As you said, crows pass information and I’m sure you know just how smart they are.
Start feeding them an I’m confident you and your so will have many good birdo memories
No they don’t!
It is believed that crows have the intellect of a 7 year old and they have fantastic memory. So Russell knows Otto and will always be there for him. Crows also bring their loved ones gifts
I have three garden crows but as for gifts? So far I have a plastic rose, a dime, a quarter, endless little green apples with beak marks from being carried, and one creepy bisque doll’s arm🫣

Russell is a deceased family member. Someone who always wanted a son but never had one. This is straight love, protection. After Russell my depart, another animal will take its place. This will go on until this lil boy becomes and old man.
Yes crows are very intelligent and have good memory
Their intellect is not that of a 7 year old, their ability to reason and problem solve is that of a 7 year old. Their intellect as a whole is more-so that of a gorilla.
That baby gives the bird such a tender tap and that kiss left me speechless. Adorable and amazing ❤❤❤❤❤💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💜💜💙💚💚💚💚

Crows are highly intelligent, they remember faces, and how they treated them. And they pass that off to other generations of crows. Your boy is apart of their flock
Really? So there's a chance that this crows, children, grandchildren, etc. will bond like this with the boy? Even if he doesn't feed them to entice them first?
Would the later generations (listed above) seek the boy out?
Will they recognize the boy as he grows?

This reminds me of the kid who is visited by a wild fox every night. I wonder about that boy and what he will become.

I love seeing young children ✨respectfully✨ petting animals
His mother taught him well ❤
A fantastic trick for very young children to touch delicate things (flowers, animals, etc) is 'One Finger Rule'.
It's basically just teaching them to touch with just their first finger so they aren't tempted to grab and crush a delicate leaf or unintentionally hurt the animal. I have pictures of my 2 year old happily touching a butterfly with the one finger rule.
That’s a great idea! If I ever have kids I will implement the one finger rule :)
