Always use the proper tools and safety equipment to perform this job.
Failure to perform the job correctly can result in personal injury or vehicle damage.
This process is going the similar to all DD13 DD15 DD16 OM 471 OM 472 OM 473 ENGINE (it may vary depending on the year. Stuff like bolts types or position)
If you are going to replace the cam housing assy with a new one, you have to follow the same process that I did on this video.
This is common problems caused by a failure to perform the cam housing seal replacement properly or when the cam housing has been removed multiple times (the cam housing is a one time use piece, that is the reason why it breaks easily.
DO NOT DO THIS JOB IF YOU DON'T HAVE THE RIGHT TOOL OR THE EXPERIENCE TO COMPLETE THE JOB.

The cam housing is made of aluminum and with older engines over 500,000 miles. When tightening the bolts the cam housing bolt holes strip.

Dude, got a question. Installed rocker box. Timing gears are aligned, but exhaust #2 stops rotation. What could it be? Never moved gears.

Hola amaya tengo un cascadia con un dd15 y cuando acelero se siente un sonido como de campana pero solo es por momento si esta como 15 rpm no lo hace . El fuel pump es nuevo. Gracias

I use DDDL.
You can get it sometimes on offer up app but it is unlicensed copy by if you want a authentic copy you can get it at Detroit diesel dealer or at you local heavy duty suppliers.

Good Morning Francisco I have a 2012 Canscadia and the Camshaft Position Sensor keeps going bad any insight off what might be wrong I had the Cam Housing replaced in Nov.
Maybe the camshaft gear is damaged causing the timing teeth of camshaft to damage sensor.

desarme el cam housing y estaba partido el rocker arm shaft. gracias por el video que me ayudo mucho. pero ahora tengo oto problema. se me cayo um 10mm socket en el agujero cuadrado del cam housing y no se pa donde va para encontrar el socket. tome un video para ver si me ayudas en donde buscar lo.

My 2010 dd15 does losing power , just changed fuel pump after found shaving metals particles on fuel filter then truck does the same ... amber engine lights comes on for a sec truck seems to work then once engine goes away the truck seems to start again the loosing power, kicks chocking then shuts down then takes long to start like it's out of fuel .. any help ??

It is normal, it is the air compressor unloader valve cutting the air flow to the head of the compressor.
Trucks 2011 and up ( with DEF ) make this noise.

I remove def and doc to clean I trap test them and reading b4c is 4 I put them in the oven to bake for 12 hours and run a regeneration and get a code that the Scr now conversion efficiency low truck needs more diagnostic check hooked up laptop followed drag def quality test passed continued with drag checked def pump bladder pis checked good ran the truck threw a regen came up with 2 new code terms señor active and sir outlet nox sensor signal not available checked connections made sure no broken wires then ran the truck threw another region numbers were a lot better regen completed code went inactive test took unit for test drive no issues found at this time and drove truck for the next 2 day and the light came back on shut down light came on did a park region light shut down light went off but check engine light is still on truck runs fine for 2 day and repeat process it seems to happens every time I idol the truck for a long period of time you think it has to do with anything with the fuel dozer injector being clogged or the def pump inlet filter screen can be clogged I have a DD15 2013 Freightliner Cascadia just looking for a few pointers to look into thanks

That has a bad oil leak
Why not just drill out and use heli coil inserts?
They don't resist the high torque.
@@franciscoamayaYT i understand your thoughts on that. To me that looked like aluminum and I like how aggressive the tap is for a h coil. Only problem I have ever had was loosening and binding when taking a bolt out or a heli skipping a thread on its way in the material. But you won't strip out a heli before the aluminum by itself will strip. But I get your side too. Sometimes I will chase the heli with the correct tap for even smoother threads.
