I really like it but I'm thinking of buying a Bad Boy 52" for my back up mower this coming season . I haven't seen one with the suspension seat but you can get the same motor for around $4k . I'm thinking there can't be that much difference ?
That efi engine on this mower is $3,000 by itself. The ExMark in this video was over $12k when it was new 3 years ago with the same exact same engine and wheel motors . The price on quality mowers these days are outrageous 😒 thanks for commenting 😁

Ive got the Scag TCII and every landscaper that notices my cuts thinks I have a striping kit. Nope, just a Velocity+ deck. Can't beat these compact ones for everyday mowing
Its hard to tell true cut quality from a video. However, I have a Lazer z 60 ultra cut as well as a Scag Cheetah with the 61 velocity deck. I live in the south with lots of humidity. Not to hurt any fanboys feelings out there because I have an appreciation for several brands, but guys the Scag just smokes everything in cut quality. Its not an opinion its a fact. My Exmark leaves stragglers all the freaking time when the grass is wirey and I have to cut it 2 and sometimes 3 times. Yes I am commercial and have been for years. The scag velocity deck is one pass almost 99 percent of the time. This is just facts. I keep my blades sharp and machines well maintained. When the grass is wet my EXmark and Toro zmaster clumps pretty bad and I find myself double cutting again. I get so stinking sick of having to double cut properties because its costing me time and fuel. When I can afford to do some switching its all scag for me. That being said, the anti scalp system on the Exmark seems to work much better then the scag. I do have to be more careful when I am in messed up terrain with the scag. There are some properties that I only run the EXmark on because of this. So truthfully I will always keep at least one EXmark or Toro in my lineup.
I agree ,the ExMark really shines when the conditions are perfect, dry grass with no weeds. The Scag is a BEAST and is a good all around mower but, isn't really my "cup of tea" I'm a "Ferris" guy 🤷♂️the cut isn't as good as those two mowers but, is superior when it comes to comfort and driveability. Ferris makes a good mower , just my opinion.

I prefer the cut of the exmark over the scag, however the scag will smoke the exmark in wet grass. Here in the mountains we get such erratic weather changes that’s where the differences really stand out.
Cool! My friend just traded his Turf Tiger ll in on the Tiger Cat ll (the one in this video) The Tiger was to big and heavy for him and moving from a 61" to a 52" was a better fit for him. Thanks for watching the video 😉
Think I like the the Lazer over the Scag. The Scag cat 2 is about $2k less expensive even though it's equipped with the same wheel motors and engine🤷♂️but, the Scag didn't feel as refined as the ExMark to me. Both of them provide exceptional cut quality.
These 2 mowers have the same size engine and wheel motors. The TT2 has a shaft driven deck. The Scag and ExMark in this video both are belt driven🤔 The TT2 is the same price as the X-SERIES ExMark .They TT2 and X-SERIES is definitely comparable in price.Thanks for watching and commenting 👍

They are very similar decks if you are looking at discharge openings and physical size. The ICD does better in wet conditions than the Scag but, Scag out performs the ICD in normal conditions. The ICD is a "Jack of all trades but, Master of none" Lol good deck 👍

I live in cenla. I’ve had a tiger cat for a few years and it’s great. Easy as hell to service. My uncle has exmark. I like the way his exmarks cut better than my scab tbh. My scag scalps too easy.

@@JsCrazyCutzLLC sure thing, brother. and good for you, dropping those mowers in the ditches like that. i don't think i've seen anybody on youtube do that. we don't really have drainage ditches that huge here, but i put my old gravely 60 in similar conditions all the time ( or my old exmark walkbehind if the slope is a little too steep ). she's pretty good on hills, not that i'd get too close to a lake or cliff with her 🤣

@@JohnnyMow I don't know if need to be changed or not but, I have noticed a significant difference lately. The mower doesn't feel like it has that tight control and handling especially ,monuvering in and out ditches. It feels real loose. I probably could have just tightened the adjustments on the springs but,I'd rather just swap 'em lol. I put this mower through some rough stuff and I need it at its best 😉
awesome vid, I sold my 36 wright stander idensity, and 52 wright stander x, picking new scag 36 vride 2, and tiger cat 2 52 inch deck with triple bagging system next wk. I'm hoping they will cut alot better
@@JsCrazyCutzLLC thanks you, the wright didn't cut too well in my area(central new jersey) and was going to purchase the 52 vride with the kohler 25hp efi, but didn't like the twin bagging system than hangs of the side and decided to pay a little bit more for the cat 2 with the kawa 26hp efi with the triple bagger. I'm hoping I made a the rt decision 🙏 the tiger cat held those banks pretty well
I’m sure this sounds like a silly question. But which mower steers better? I have two bran new exmark x series 60” mowers that I can’t steer straight. I hear that scag is operator friendly and very nice smooth controls.
These 2 mowers steered about the same. They use the same Parker 12cc pumps. I also have Ferris mowers and I think they steer the best in my opinion. I've got a Z2 with the Hydro gear 3400 trans axles and a IS 3200Z with 5400's and I prefer the Hydro-gear wheel motors over the Parker's 🤷♂️hope this helps 😉
Yep! Both mowers have those 12cc Parker wheel motor pumps! They are touchy as hell 😉 I prefer the Hydro-gear wheel motors . They feel better to me in my opinion 🤷♂️
so im looking to purchase a new mower- I run all exmark x series mowers now 60inch from 29hp to 35 efi. Do u think i would be disappointed if i purchased a scag? I really like the efi 35-37hp engines. since a mower is such a huge investment im not sure which way i want to go
Well it depends on your area and what turf your mowing. I've heard that Scags are not good in the north east but, it mows excellent down here in South Louisiana. I would pick Scag over ExMark. I'm not a fan of the Red Technology on the efi engines that ExMark offers but, I don't like the shaft driven Scags.I prefer belt drive. In my opinion Scag offers the same if not better quality equipment for far less of a price tag. Having good dealer support should also determine your choice of mower. I did just get it stuck twice tonight in my swampy yard, then got my car stuck then had to use my truck to put both of of them out, so if wet conditions is something they're supposed to be bad at handling, I'd agree.

Hydro pumps suck on the scag tiger they blow at 1500 hours exmark has direct pumps and last 3000 hours and there decks are way better . Efi engines are the way to go to I’ll pay 2500 more and get something that will last exmark and yes I’ve own both .
Sweet Machine there! Looks like it did pretty good. I personally haven't had the best time with my Vride 2 so I'm currently demoing a wright to see what else is out there. That's why I haven't make a review video on mine yet. I hate to make a review and basically bash a company. So I tend to only review things I like 😂🤷

A TT2 would be a more comparable unit to the lazer z x. They both cut nice though.
