Yes it is systemic and parenting failure and definitely there is a need to include traffic awareness and safety riding as part of school curriculum… very well edited and meaningful podcast
After going through the entire story which is now getting revealed, multiple failures can be seen. I am not sure whether parents can alone be blamed. Youth also need to learn lessons from these incidents. There is also total system failure be it Juvenile court , Police department , Medical Authority , RTO etc. During our school days in Maharashtra , From 7 th standard onward students were supposd to join either NCC/ RSP ( Road safety petrol) , Scouts & Guide wings . By joining these wings students were becoming more responsible to the society as whole. Such activities at schooling level must be made compulsory. School should be a platform for creating sensible human being and not Robot.
