i am a film student and my work is mostly in cinematography since a74 has overheating issues and i want to shoot my videos in 4k24 p and 60 p is this camera a good option ?

You should go for sony s iii Or fx 30
If you shoot at 60p you face crop fector with a74
S3 is the best option for you
You can take picturs also
If you do only cinematography
Fx 3 ..fx 30 cameras made for you
