It is really interesting.
In Korea, Samsung repair service takes 6 hours to 2 days to repair and Apple takes 5 days to 2 weeks.

In north it's probably illegal to even know what Samsung is@@LukeSalazar-sh2mp
@@LukeSalazar-sh2mpof course because in North Korea, they don’t allow Apple or Samsung Because It’s Associated With America And South Korea, which they both hate
That’s because longer distance and shipping time because they have to ship to apple then to repair center.
samsung's home turf
I called Samsung support this week. I told the guy his speech was muffled/low quality and it was hard to understand him. He said I was the only customer who said this and everyone else was fine. Glad to see that every Samsung rep Arun spoke to was also indecipherable. Small things like that matter - it made the whole experience much more frustrating.
I did call-centre work for a while and a lot of the internal policies of those out-sourced companies are utter crap. Despite me having some of the best studio-grade audio equipment on the market, they told me that it wouldn't work with their calling software, despite me using it throughout my training (which shocked them) and they sent me Amazon links to some £2 piece of shit USB mic+headphone combo and told me I HAD to use that, or I'd be breaking policy and would risk my job.
It's no wonder a lot of these companies, especially ones that are still Work-From-Home, have the people on the other end sounding like they're talking through a bucket of muddy water.
@@els236 Same bro. I've worked for call centers for Apple support and they force you to use a cheap low quality USB headset even though I offered to use my own expensive headset hardware.
It's their software. Samsung must really have to invest on their softphone soffware.
@@els236 Jesus that's terrible... Any mic and headphones that can connect to your computer should have worked just fine but nooooooooo MUH POLICIES..... Why is that even a thing is beyond me.
@@Michiro13 you're so funny, apple fanboy trying to get anything he can, they don't use any Samsung hardware to talk, it's literally unbranded garbage
I would love to see more reviewers doing stuff like this, It actually showcases what companies are doing wrong, Also helps consumers identify who is doing better.
It's just fluff, who breaks their phone and then calls the manufacturer to repair it? unless you have a Care Plus replacement plan etc where they immediately ship you a replacement you would be crazy not to get it repaired locally for less money, better data privacy and substantially cheaper.
It's actually amusing in this video when Arun says he knows he got his original S23 ultra back because of the rear glass, he was incorrect, samsung would have ripped the internals and put them into a new housing (pretty much a whole new S23) and then glued his original rear glass onto the back of the new Screen / housing.
Lozil if you want i can make a youtube video about how they deal with calls, service cases, and complains. i have been working for most major brands, and they all do the same, it is not only Samsung that is "money hungry" but every major brand, but there are things you can do as a customer to get a better service ;)

Its not really hard, while Iphone is expensive to repair, it can be repaired mostly at their side. While Samsung or other androids can be repaired in local repair shops everyhwere in the world, i will be faster this way all the time and cheaper all the time.
This why right to repair is soo important. A independent repair shop would have been much cheaper and faster
Not much cheaper, if you use original parts. I am repair technician and the prices of Samsung OLED displays are astronomical.
@@Panzertank123sk me 😂😂😂 I work in this industry, I own a cracked Huawei P40 Pro that have lines (refurbishing the screen won't work), The Oled aftermarket display is ironically way more expensive when comparing it with a used top AAA grade Huawei p40 pro whole device😂. This means that not only you get a screen, but also the cameras, the motherboard, the Battery, the back glass, the frame. A whole working device. And this is the cost at me, not the final customer😂😂😂
@@Panzertank123yeah
@@Panzertank123 Gotta agree on that, but companies should still have to provide replacement parts for every of their products especialy for the most crucial parts like screens and batteries, and They must provide SCHEMATICS... its expensive for a reason...
@@m3alemmajnoon137 Honestly the advantage isn't necessarily the price
But more into availability, which complete pain in the butt on the other spectrum
I used to work in the industry in Australia, Samsung was notorious for being one of the worst companies to deal with when needing to get a device repaired. They'd make simple mistakes and try to pass the blame. They were the slowest out of all the manufacturers and were horrible to deal with. Apple was always expensive and a pain in the amount of detail they'd want but would get the devices back to us the quickest. This shows me that nothing has changed in all those years.
Thanks man that’s pretty sad 😶
This is 100% my experience with Samsung. You can count on them to place any blame they can on a third party or the customer themselves. In my 15 years experience working with Samsung through mobile computers and mobile phones they have never once accepted responsibility or held anyone accountable for an error or failure that was definitely their fault.
Honestly the money is worth the process being simpler and faster
More companies should hire Operations Analysts to help streamline and refine their archaic processes. It is such an overlooked aspect of running business.
@@ohwhatworld5851 Companies like Samsung have already conducted research and determined acrions like this will not significantly improve profitablity or it would have happened before they, Samsung, decided to be content at being second best.
For clarifcation: Apple devices are sent to a Warehouse in Leicester and typically repaired the day they are received as they have a day to day turn around. The only time it takes longer is if they have to requote you for additional damage. It's very fast-paced considering the 100's of devices that get sent everyday
You have put alot in making this video bro. You are the best

Google fixed and returned my pixel 7 in a week
I've only had the joy of getting a repair from Google so far - their process was entirely online, so no call needed and absolutely smooth. They sent a box, it arrived next day (or so), within a week i had it back in a "Hello again!" Box. That little touch of "Hello again!" had me absolutely smiling.
Flawless, no complaints. Minimizing the direct human interaction (calls) definitely helped. (Note that even if it was for a company, it would have been the same procedure as an individual.)
If only google offered pixels phones in my country, one can only dream I guess
On Wednesday I had a chat with Apple Support about an issue with my AirPods. Other person on the chat knew what they were talking about and we quickly got the repair process kicked off. Today (yesterday was a public holiday) someone came to pick up the AirPods to deliver them to the Apple Store. Everything worked awesome so far.
I've dealt with google personally and it was a simple chat on their website they gave me a label i sent it off, i had email updates every step of the way and i could even track where it was. I waited 7 days and it was back with me, in that time they sent it from the uk to poland, "fixed" it and gave it back. However I think i did recieve an entirely different device as my broken device had its IMEI number on the sim tray and a few scratches and grooves in the plastic (pixel 4a with no case) and the one they sent me back had no IMEI number In the sim card tray and also no scratches and as a bonus the battery life was way better than my, at this point 18 month old phone. Apple’s repair system seems to fall under the phrase: “In order to maintain the quality and efficiency of our process, we are unable to lower our price.”
Yuhp.
It’s the way to get people to get apple care. $29 crack screen and it can be done in store. They have a monthly option or a 2yr plan.
Samsung has the same thing but the terrible service won’t.
AppleCare+ is really good though
Good. Apple is the only company where you pay for what you get - quality. Big difference from Samsung - who uses literal hot glue to secure components in their flagship phone to cut costs. You would never, ever - see that in any apple device.
@@Stix_Zidinia interesting
Interesting video. Should have had the 'corner shop' option included so a direct comparison could be made with their repair quality versus the big guys.
The quality of the repair itself will be the same. The experience, however, will be much simpler and faster as you are handing over the phone physically.
If you hand over the phone to apple and Samsung physically (which you should always do tbh) both repairs will be pretty fast and probably cheaper than the repairs shown in this video
@@gioprox5207not really, a lot of them use crappy aftermarket displays, so the quality can be a downgrade from the original ones.
@@saf1729not to mention how using third party repairs usually voids the warranty
@@saf1729 I don't think Apple even allows aftermarket replacements of anything. iOS nowadays comes with pre-installed ransomware bricking the device if you install non-Apple components. The service center Samsung works with reminds me of a company that does most repairs they do in the Netherlands. It takes long and they often do it bad, so you have to keep resending it a couple of times....
In the USA right now every mail in repair is on hold until October 2nd. And you can go to Samsung approved repair centers and they are out of stock of screens, or one Samsung approved shop literally ask me for my unlock PIN….. that I will never shared with anyone. This is so painful. I had to repair a phone screen once using a local repair shop, and they fixed it in a matter of hours.
I haven't tried the official yet because they always told that they will wipe the data (even though there is no connection between screen and data).
This brought back memories of when my Samsung TV needed repairing. Sad to say I had an even worse time, taking months before the repair was carried out. Just a bad experience all together with Samsung support
When our tv broke they fixed it after we gave the tv in 1.5 days, less than 48 hours. guess it differs country to country
Happened to me my TV broke make the call Saturday, on Monday it was a Samsung guy at home to check on the TV the TV wasn't repairable and two weeks later they send me the full price of what I paid for the TV and every two days I have a call from Samsung just to let me now they were working in my transaction. I'm from Puerto Rico 🇵🇷
Here's where the pros and cons are. If you pay for samsung care then you can go to almost any repair shop and have it done for free that day. Apple doesn't even have that. But Samsung repair shops also do it WITHOUT Samsung care in about 2 days for the same price as sending it in.
@@ljeans531 we picked up the tv gone to the certified samsung repair shop and gave the tv next day they called and gave the tv back they did it for a really good cheap price im from turkey also its always better to give the product you bought face to face its much better when you have a repair shop personal to call

This is the reason why I always go to the repair shops/service centers personally to deposit and collect the phone.
Much easier to explain the problem, and much, much quicker repair times (Sometimes they just ask you to wait and repair your phone and give it back to you within 30 minutes).
I have dealt with Samsung, Mi, and Micromax, for cracked screens, busted camera, etc. and as long as you physically go to their service centers, you are golden.
Exactly going there physically makes it way more easier then just calling the service center
I couldn't agree more 👍🏻
That's only an option if there's one near where you live.
Samsung doesn’t have a service centre where I am, and Apple does sadly :(

Me : Watching on Nokia
I think the most familiar service type for Korean Galaxy users is to visit the Samsung Service Center and get it repaired. The reason is that the repair is usually completed within an hour except for the waiting time, and if you return the broken display to Samsung, the repair cost will be lower.(It costs about $185 to return the S23 Ultra display, but it costs about $62 to sign up for Samsung Care Plus.) So it was a big shot for me to get my phone repaired and wait for almost a week to a month to fix it.
This seems to be a Korean only service. Here in Germany we have Samsung service centers but the dont repair anything on the same day, you have to turn in your phone and it will still be sent to a repair shop which takes at least 7 days.
In Slovakia I can get it into shop where I buyed it or go into Samsung shop where they can look on it and send on repair.
Maybe in Bratislava is some Samsung center because there is a one of Samsung development centers but in central Slovakia I know only about stores.
And it is still much better option that send it in box somewhere.
@Harris022 it's also like that in Indonesia. I've done that, less than an hour excluding the trip, and no queue
Yeah in indonesia we just bring it to service center as soon as possible. Then they gonna be fix it for you.
In Ukraine we have this 1-hour feature as well as Care program for your first out-of-warranty case screen repair
I've had an S20U that I broke, and honestly, I got it repaired for $110, however, it took about 2 weeks. Long, but I don't think it's as bad as your awaiting, most definitely had to be a telecommunications error.

I learned a little bit about phone repair at an old job that refurbished iphones and other smart devices and what I've learned is that they've basically built a lot of technology into the screen. A lot more than used to be there. So replacing the screen is much more difficult than it used to be. Also the screen part is tied to the motherboard part on newer iPhones, in such a way that if for example you swapped the screen on two iphones, neither screen will work as it's not attached to ITS screen. Basically this is to prevent third party manufacturers from being able to make new screens for iphones.
Let me tell you, it made repairs SUPER DIFFICULT, as a third party company.
unexpected and nice ending lol
also a big difference is if this is your personal phone you use day to day, with Samsung you have to send it in for repair where as with Apple they can do repair's in store. For screens and batteries they often quote 2 hour turn overs for repairs so while this was an experiment on the customer service side, if you needed to get your phone back up and running again Apple could be faster in many cases unless you live no only far from an Apple Store but also a certified apple repair shop(ie the ones apple marks on their site and are confirmed to use genuine parts)
Just as an FYI if you have Apple Care + with Accidental Damage included, then a front or back panel repair is only $29.00 instead of the almost $500.
And that cost...?

I think you should make one where you go into the service centre as 99% of people go physically into the centre instead of like calling up apple or Samsung online , and thats also probably why both of their sites aren't optimised for that

Local corner repair shops don't necessarily mean that your device will be fixed properly. In some instances the local repair shop could make things worse to the point of rendering your device useless. I would say you really would have to do research on local shops if you go that route.

@@maxarvlo Well in my country doesn’t have Apple but we have many Samsung store. So I can’t agree on that (at least for my experience my country).
@@maxarvlo elitist thinking that their country is the only country that exists
@@ulize. Stop being childish. This has nothing to do with thinking that their country is the only country that exists. Both Whostheboss and the OP where stating where they live, which UK and US. Also, those countries are the ones that uses iPhone and Samsung the most. Aside from Japan, of course. Every other country that I have been uses other brands or cheaper Samsungs.
I went to the Samsung service centre personally and they repaired my S21 broken display within an hour... So its always better to visit personally rather than shipping...
Yeah i did the same with my s22+ got it done within a couple hours
My A52s took 2 days because the display wasn't available back then, otherwise they said it was on the spot repairable...
Do they pressure test after, to check the waterproofing?
I've had the same experience with my broken s6 edge. Phone was repaired the same day.
@@alex_ob1 yeah all Samsung authorized service centres use the same press pads that samsung uses to seal their phones to give it back whatever water resistance rating it had previously
I can beat that, sent a Xiaomi phone off for repair under warranty. They claimed they'd never received it at the service centre. I could prove that they had as I hand delivered it. I got the phone back 6 months later. I'd already bought another phone.
Samsung support has been horrible with me its been ridicoulous, i sent my phone in about 3 weeks ago, and have yet to come back with anything
5:30 I lost it when he said ''Sometimes I wish I hadn't" 😂😂😂
I've had broken phones from both companies. There are "authorized service centers" that I've used for them a couple times with 0 issues. With Apple I've set an appointment, walked in, and it was taken care of promptly. Apples service is second to none with the issues I've had. It certainly will vary but the fact that Apple has stores that I can go to make it a little easier.
that doesn't work in developing countries tho and that's why i'll never buy an apple. at least samsung has service centers in the Caribbean but where's apple? i had an apple account many moons ago for itunes and then i stopped using it. wanted to deactivate the account and it was a headache bcuz i dont have an apple device and was locked out of same account. it's ludicrous
@@annabananaSplitz1 didn’t ask
Same. Destroyed my iPhone, tried to get it fixed through T-Mobile to no avail, then walked into the Apple store and got a brand new one within 30 minutes. I did pay $100 because I had insurance but it was a 13 Pro Max so that's not bad.
In Australian the apple service is perfection
@@wild4130 what’s your problem kid.
This exact thing happened to my wife. I mean exact! Phone returned unrepaired, after we didn't respond to the phone call she didn't receive!
You need to do this multiple times to make this a real comparison.
I have to say that I had a very good experience with the Samsung service. A few years ago my screen broke in a fall. So I went to the Samsung website and described my damage there in no time. In the end I could choose whether I wanted to send it to Samsung or have the "Samsung Repair Bus" come for 15€ more. For this small surcharge I decided to use the Samsung Repair Bus. He was there the next day, took my smartphone and repaired it in the Samsung Repair Bus within an hour. After an hour I had my smartphone back with a new display and even got a battery replacement free of charge.
Great video - I've recently had to get my fold 4 inner screen replaced/repaired but I took it to the Samsung Experience store rather than do the mail-in. It was back with me in about 5 days, again with new batteries so it was pretty good!
Really depends who you get. In Australia I had an issue with first gen AirPod pros. Took it in and the tech said these have been known to have a similar issue, I won’t even test them and handed a new pair whilst the first were outside warranty.
I fixed my Samsung though 3rd party insurance but directly with Samsung service with shipping out and delivery back in only 4 days and it was during covid with the fold. It costed me with insurance 40Euro. Very pleased.
Same, they offered me a ultra for just $300 because last time I bundled galaxy watch work s22+. Very gud yah?
It probably depends on what country you are in and what services they offer. I’m in the UK like Arun and the time it took him to get his phone back doesn’t bode well.
I’ve had a similar positive experience using Apple’s repair service under warranty. Very smooth process. I took my device to an Apple Store and got it shipped back to me about three days later. Good customer service speaks volumes!
How much did you pay to get that?
Who cares , id rather pay extra and get my device back quick smart without rooting around , a month to have your phone repaired is unacceptable no matter how cheap the repair is . @@magneticphieu
Except you probably had to pay half the price of your phone for it 🥰
@@hey_auriedoesn’t matter if you work… people who own Apple products work
@@hey_aurieat least the user was not without his phone for 30 DAYS. Maybe apple services are absolutely expensive, but they provide you that butter smooth customer service. You can pay for apple care+ which is actually a cheaper alternative and apple will repair your phone at dirt cheap prices
I've sent in a phone to Samsung before. The whole process only took 1 week, and that includes booking -> collection -> repair -> delivery. I used the online form which was straightforward enough.
I have a Samsung Z flip for the hinge got busted off and the screen broke the more I try to open it and I sent it to Samsung repair and it literally took me like a week and a half to get it back. I know how it works in the UK but watching this was so wild. Thank God it was still an under warranty though.
The cat chillin on the massive massage(?) chair in the back is brilliant 6:05

Amazing vid Arun ❤
Hi patterz
I worked at an apple certified repair center and the tools they give to repair the screen makes it look so easy and fast lol
how easy is it to do a screen replacement?
@prabean69 on an iPhone? Easy as all hell lol. Samsungs are harder, and the "official" way to repair them is an OCTA replacement which is literally a whole frame swap
@@inaraoftyria3878 there are pros in streamlined processes, when you can and want to design everything by yourself and control and own every step of the phone. its like china with its military-civilian public-private fusion, their industries are so smooth, no bottlenecks anywhere.
If you were to chose the in store repair you would have had an identical experience, they repaired my iPhone X back in the day and gave it back basically brand new in 2 days meanwhile with my mom’s Note 10+ they did in one day but the back glass fell off a month later because of the poor repair.
"Half the price of the phone"@1:45 got me 🤣🤣🤣😂😂
6:03 CAT IN A CHAIR
I saw that too
What if Apple and Samsung create a phone together? They should call it,
"SAMPLE"
Never happening cuz we all know APPLE 🍎😂
😂😂
Amazing battle, but I suggest to try to make water test for both phone after the repaired 😊
Where are live there are Samsung centers. I had a motherboard issue which required them to change the whole board except camera, battery and screen (no replacement phone). It was covered under warranty and it took them 2 hours. Went shopping, got the phone back, went about my day.
