Best Budget Bike? | YAMAHA FZS 600 FAZER | RAW Engine Sound

I was looking for a cheap road bike for the weekends, when I stumbled across this Fazer 600 for only 1200€...yep you read right dear viewer...onethousandtwohundered! Obviously it needed some love for that price, but with ~170€ and ~15hrs of work from my side, it's up and running again.
And for that price, I can't complain...this was also a good opportunity, to test the Mitas SportForce+ tires. I've never had the chance to test them properly yet. Again, for the price...no complaints at all. The set was only 185€ and after nearly 600km they seem to hold up pretty good with the wear.

Amazing video. I just bought one of these as my first bike and paid 1200€ for it as well. It only needed a carb cleaning plus new tires and now it's like new!

@@BarryFromEastenders no, not at all! Just check connection from the carbs to the engine..those rubber boots crack very often on these bikes. Oh and definetly check the tank for rust on the inside!

ich hab mir auch eine letztes jahr für 1.5k gekauft weitere 1.5k an reparaturen und wartung (auch durch einen unfall), aber es ist ein so schönes motorrad. bequem sportlich und ein geiler Sound. Der motor hält auch einiges aus meiner ist mittlerweile bei über 90k km und kenne einige die schon bei 110k km sind.

Ja die Dinger werden ziemlich unterschätzt. Aber ich habs trotzdem gegen eine Varadero mit Einspritzung getauscht, weil die Bikes bei mir einfach zu lange stehen zwischen durch. Immerhin bin ich faktisch 3000km "gratis" gefahren damit.😅

Nope you put a light pressure on the lever with your foot before you shift and it shift's alot smother .typical yamaha gearbox the newer versions aren't any better.I rode mt07 and it has the same feeling.depends also on the rpm range when you shift.the higher the rpm range the harder feel of the shift you get

@@nikitrcek5012 exacly. I've tried everything, but above ~5000rpm it just clunks into 2nd gear like mad, only on the upshift not when downshifting. So I basically just ignore I have a first gear apart from getting rolling...

Great bike! I owned a 1998 600 fazer when I lived back in London (in 2000) it was by far my favourite bike I've owned. You could really push her limits and throw her around the corners! I tried to find one here in the US, but I guess they aren't so popular.

With luck going to pick up one up next month if it's doing well, it had a small lowside with the previous owner, who sadly.. passed away due to guardrails being nasty sharp..

Ich mag deinen Fahrstil sehr. Der Fazer kann ich dennoch nichts abgewinnen. Mag 4-Zylinder einfach nicht.

Ja der 4 Zylinder ist geschmacks Sache...nach über 70.000km nur 2&1 Zylinder wollte ich mal was anderes haben. Ich finds genial wie seidig der Motor schon bei knapp über Standgas läuft.

I have a factory exhaust with about 60,000 km on the bike and I can barely hear the engine. Since 80,000 km I have had a short through exhaust. And yours is louder.​@@StromerTH-cam
