I've had my Damier Ebene for just over 10 yrs, I have carried it as a work and travel tote. To say that I have gotten my money's worth is an understatement :) The canvas is still in good condition but the leather around the top of the bag is just now starting to peel/wrinkle, so I'm taking her in to have her repaired and the leather replaced.
The craziest thing about the neverfull is how in demand it still is and how much people pay for it USED on eBay. I've seen people pay $800 plus for a used bag. I'm sorry if you have $800 for a dirty 20 year old bag, why not save up to get a new one. I think these people have never looked at the LV site. These bags you can get for $1400-$1500 brand new. I understand they hold their value, but something about this particular bag which isn't even the most expensive one is highly sought after. I understand discontinued pieces going for more but not items you can still buy brand new.
I just bought a bag from an resale agent. I did that because the Neverfull bags have not been available in the stores for a while or on the website. Additionally, I prefer a pre-loved bag. It feels great to carry a bag that comes with stories so to speak. A different type of recycling. ;)
My handles cracked when I got my first Neverfull in 2013. Louis Vuitton replaced them from free since it was during the 30 day purchase period. I was told I could have them replaced for $150 if I needed it again. However I haven’t had anymore issues after the first replacement and I use my neverfull for everything.
I only have the DE MM, and I do have to agree that the wear and tear was surprisingly quick. I had to bring it into the store about a year ago when it was just four years old because one of the straps you can pull on to make it change its shape suddenly began to peel apart. It was surprising because I never even used those pulls, but it still began to peel. Neither do they carry weight on them -- I do carry a billion things in it, including my computer, jackets, water bottles, paperwork, etc. -- but none of that weight is ever on those straps. Interestingly, they fixed both straps for free and simply told me that it was just part of the service. I was pleased with that, of course, but next time if I do end up getting a Neverfull I'd probably get the monogram instead and save myself the fuss.

You have no idea how long I've been coveting this bag. And the Frenchman came through with the best birthday gift! And...it has my favorite color lining. RED! Oh my gosh no hot or warm water 💦 it will burn the color transfer or whatever your trying to get out into the material. Always cool or cold water 💧. Takes a little longer but you have a second chance to cleanse out the stain of the first try doesn’t get it all out. This applies to clothes etc too 😑

My DE GM neverfull is over 9 years old now, the corners started to show some red and the top rim has started to crack, but in the last 5 years this bag has been my daily bag (at least 250-275 days per year). After 4 years the straps finally relaxed and since then it has been one of the most comfortable and easiest bag I own.I have lots of other bags but I keep them for more special occasions. I’m thinking of replacing my neverfull to get a new one and use that one for another 10 years 😊

It’s hard to explain but I have a neverfull that is less than 2 years old and I’ve only used it about 2 times a week for less than 6 months (it was kept in its dust bag prior)...the handles look HORRIFIC but the rest of the bag is in beautiful shape...I took it into the boutique and they told me “oh that’s normal with stretching” 😑😑😑...I feel like that’s not true
I have a friend who has the Damier Azur canvas. She wasn’t aware of color transfer or it aging like that over time until she wore a Jean jacket with it & it transferred onto the bag so that was definitely a downside. I went with the monogram canvas for that reason but I also just don’t care for the Damier Azur print as much!
Do you ever clean the vachetta on any of your bags with water wipes? About the wrinkling on the DE, do you know of it being a big problem with the PM size?

Fab video! I cant wait to add a classic Mono with beige MM to my collection. I must say it bothers me we pay so much for these bags and yet 2 out of 3 of the canvasses change and not for the better IMO! Yellow Azur, lighter Ebene plus the corners are dreadful to wear on them and i'm not sure why as the Monogram doesn't seem to get corner wear?? Bizarre, maybe the Damier prints have a different canvas process to the Mono? x

My most used is the DE neverfull. I purchased it in Paris in 2012 and it’s still in fantastic shape even though it’s my most used bag. There is some coating peeling and some wrinkling, but that doesn’t bother me. I don’t find it uncomfortable on my bare shoulder either, I think I’m the only one!!!! Haha I also have the gm ikat neverfull that I got in Vegas for my 25th bday and it’s beautiful but I never wear it haha neverfull is an unbeatable tote.
I have been considering a LV and debating between the Neverfull and Speedy. Your video is so honest and straightforward. You have been incredibly helpful to me. After watching I decided not to get an LV. I am very anal when it comes to the condition of my collection. I did a search of pre-loved LV and pre-loved MCM. I am sure that most people who go to the boutiques can easily find the answer to this or call a sales assistant but I thought I would ask you first what is the handle drop difference between the GM and the MM never full I live on an island I cannot go to boutiques. Online Louis Vuitton does not give the dimension of the handle drop and the pictures look the same. I am 510 160 pounds and when I wear a big coat in the winter time sometimes they handle drops are not long enough to fit me
So about 5 years ago I went in to buy nevefull Gm in canvas. As I was taking to the girl she convinced me to get the ebene. After 2 1/2 weeks the rim around the back started to crack and lift. I took it in because it was so new. They send it to repair free of charge. Took about 3 months. I got it and was scared to use it. I did and guess what?. It happen again. I just didn't want to deal with them again . I left it like that. I don't wear my purses very often so, I'm very disappointed. I might fix it I. the future but the straps do hurt ALOT. You look fabulous! Damier Azur Neverfull MM may be my favorite bag ever. I keep going back to it and even had to put it near my bedroom door in case there was an emergency and I needed to grab (2) and go.... I am devastated to have discovered silverfish and have a Dooney & Bourke bag that has some tiny little pits in one side of the bag....I know they are not from moths. I have pest control coming. They eat little holes in odd areas of fabric. Thank God only a few items...I have scattered Cedar, hanging, added a moth thing, had one in my closet before my divorce....when I used to live in my house...even had lavender. Seems they are a problem off and on in Fl. Seems any time someone moves in another apt near me it drives bugs down. Had not realized this. AreJayy in the stores they would tell you to use a micro fibre cloth together with some soap water. I actually watched a youtube video yesterday where someone used huggies baby wipes (with 99% water) to clean the whole bags on both the leather parts and the canvas.
The trifecta! 💕 I need the Neverfull in DA. I use my Monogram Mimosa the most. I use my DE for travel since it’s carefree but the stiffness of the straps keep me from using it frequently. I don’t have wrinkles on the bag yet but I’ve only had it for a year. Great information.

I purchased my Neverfull MM yesterday at a Luis Vuitton store. Got home & looked inside & the bag has a different date code than the inside removable zippered clutch. Is that normal? My ocd is getting to me. HELP

Is there any way to prevent the colour transfer? Perhaps using a waterproof coat or something like that? I am buying the whitish cream never full mm and it will be my first Louis Vuitton bag . So what would you recommend to prevent transfer
New subscriber here! I wanted to know if you notice like splintering or like peeling on your handles? It’s hard to explain but I have a neverfull that is less than 2 years old and I’ve only used it about 2 times a week for less than 6 months (it was kept in its dust bag prior)...the handles look HORRIFIC but the rest of the bag is in beautiful shape...I took it into the boutique and they told me “oh that’s normal with stretching” 😑😑😑...I feel like that’s not true

I have a friend who has the Damier Azur canvas. She wasn’t aware of color transfer or it aging like that over time until she wore a Jean jacket with it & it transferred onto the bag so that was definitely a downside. I went with the monogram canvas for that reason but I also just don’t care for the Damier Azur print as much!

Fab video! I cant wait to add a classic Mono with beige MM to my collection. I must say it bothers me we pay so much for these bags and yet 2 out of 3 of the canvasses change and not for the better IMO! Yellow Azur, lighter Ebene plus the corners are dreadful to wear on them and i'm not sure why as the Monogram doesn't seem to get corner wear?? Bizarre, maybe the Damier prints have a different canvas process to the Mono? x

My most used is the DE neverfull. I purchased it in Paris in 2012 and it’s still in fantastic shape even though it’s my most used bag. There is some coating peeling and some wrinkling, but that doesn’t bother me. I don’t find it uncomfortable on my bare shoulder either, I think I’m the only one!!!! Haha I also have the gm ikat neverfull that I got in Vegas for my 25th bday and it’s beautiful but I never wear it haha neverfull is an unbeatable tote.
The Neverfull GM in Monogram will be my next bag. Maybe in a year or so. I’ve been binging You Tube reviews so perfect timing!

Loved this video. I have the trifecta in the GM size. I use all 3 as work bags. I think they are perfect if you have a lot of stuff to carry. I even use them as travel bags for a road trip too!

I am sure that most people who go to the boutiques can easily find the answer to this or call a sales assistant but I thought I would ask you first what is the handle drop difference between the GM and the MM never full I live on an island I cannot go to boutiques. Online Louis Vuitton does not give the dimension of the handle drop and the pictures look the same. I am 510 160 pounds and when I wear a big coat in the winter time sometimes they handle drops are not long enough to fit me
So about 5 years ago I went in to buy nevefull Gm in canvas. As I was taking to the girl she convinced me to get the ebene. After 2 1/2 weeks the rim around the back started to crack and lift. I took it in because it was so new. They send it to repair free of charge. Took about 3 months. I got it and was scared to use it. I did and guess what?. It happen again. I just didn't want to deal with them again . I left it like that. I don't wear my purses very often so, I'm very disappointed. I might fix it I. the future but the straps do hurt ALOT. You look fabulous! Damier Azur Neverfull MM may be my favorite bag ever. I keep going back to it and even had to put it near my bedroom door in case there was an emergency and I needed to grab (2) and go.... I am devastated to have discovered silverfish and have a Dooney & Bourke bag that has some tiny little pits in one side of the bag....I know they are not from moths. I have pest control coming. They eat little holes in odd areas of fabric. Thank God only a few items...I have scattered Cedar, hanging, added a moth thing, had one in my closet before my divorce....when I used to live in my house...even had lavender. Seems they are a problem off and on in Fl. Seems any time someone moves in another apt near me it drives bugs down. Had not realized this. Have parted with a few bags just worried about storing them here and now will not be purchasing anything else til I move next summer. Love your videos! ❤❤❤ These are supposed to be red hearts. ???

I don't use that website, but yes I would say it's good as neverfull are not rare to find and don't necessarily hold their value.

AreJayy in the stores they would tell you to use a micro fibre cloth together with some soap water. I actually watched a youtube video yesterday where someone used huggies baby wipes (with 99% water) to clean the whole bags on both the leather parts and the canvas.

The trifecta! 💕 I need the Neverfull in DA. I use my Monogram Mimosa the most. I use my DE for travel since it’s carefree but the stiffness of the straps keep me from using it frequently. I don’t have wrinkles on the bag yet but I’ve only had it for a year. Great information.
