Yeah, that's what I use them for. I think once you're used to them, they work great. The weird thing for me is that I use them backwards for squats. Folks have said that seems unsafe and I see their point. But when doing a sqaut, the bar moves forward a little bit. So, depending, you could hit the hooks if you move the bar forward a lot. I think the key there is to adjust the height of them as best as possible. But I do them behind me and they've always worked fine. I use safety straps, etc. So, if I have to dump them, it's not that big of a deal.
Yeah, I put one on the bolt. Inserted the bolt a little bit through the big bracket. Put one between the bracket and the red piece. Inserted bolt slightly into red bracket. Put another one on the other side of the red thing, but before the bracket. (So, between the red thing and bracket on the other side.) Put the bolt all the way through. Put on a washer. Put on the nut. I'm not sure this is correct though. The other way you could go is to put 2 washers INSIDE on each side. But then you wouldn't have washers for the outside. I don't think it would matter, mechanically, but that's not traditionally how it's done.
I order them and they sent me the fixed ones and I had to get another set ordered. The adjustable ones got here today! Sending the non adjustable ones back. Thanks for the set up pointers as the instructions are weak!
You are right about the bolt being a stop. It keeps it steady for when the lifter wants to get in packed and deep under it before unracking. Do you use suicide grip or was that just for demonstration purposes?
Hi, could you let me know the distance needed between the top pin hole and the bottom pin hole? I don't have a titan rack but I do have one that I'd like to install this on.
@@JimintheGym Thank you so much for the reply, one last question, I noticed that the titan racks have the westside hole pattern (1" spacing between holes at the bottom and 2" spacing between holes at the top), I just wanted to verify that near the top of yours it has 2" spacing center to center of the holes. If that's the case then this should work for me! I appreciate your review, i definitely want to get one after seeing this!
@@JS-lr8nj thank you, I think I'll order it and if it doesn't work, I'll send it back. I appreciate your review as well as your gym tour, gave me lots of ideas to enchance my 10x10 space.
Hi Jim, do you think you could measure the distance between the two pins for me please? My power rack has 3 inch spacing between the holes, so im not sure if this will fit. Thank you so much!
Those are the old Titan straps that have been recalled. Titan sent out the new straps. So from now on if you order safety straps from Titan, they should be the new, safe kind
It's pretty expensive and the benefit is very small. All it does is allows you to push straight up instead of having the bar further up and bringing it down into position. Also, on squats, it lets you start your set without walking it out. But this is one of those "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" things. If you don't see the need, there's no reason to get them. And they're so expensive, you could buy a LOT of other gear that you'd use a lot more often for the $$$. Thanks for stopping by! Hope your workouts are going great!
Jim in the Gym Thanks, I pinched a nerve doing leg press, so need to see chiropractor tomorrow, the leg press is really helping me and I want to keep going. Thanks again!
@@JimintheGym ok coool I just bought one today ! I saw your video and it made me get one lol but I’m looking for a monolift for it what type do you recommend to get for the 2x3 power rack ?
@@hectordiaz6762 Did you get the titan power rack? Get whatever monolift your rack manufacturer makes. The rogue and titan both are kinda the same, but the holes are different. Brandon Diamond goes into it.
@@JimintheGym I got the t-3 series n oh ok I was thinking of getting the rouge one cause it said it also fits a 2x3 rack but Brandon diamonds? Do they make monolift?
Thank you. Due to ceiling requirements I have to go with the short rack and being 6'2" I'm not sure if these would fit to the correct height inside the rack being they are so high in dimension. Thanks for the quick response!
I am pretty sure they'd work for you. I've found that these work best for flat bench and decline bench. You don't really need these for overhead presses. And for incline bench, they really don't work. (Sorta puts your shoulder in a strange position to rack/unrack the weight.) For bench, you're not mounting these at the top of your rack.
You want the least amount of movement is possible Broski that’s the whole freaking point of a mono lift.... If you can’t squat with that limited range of motion on the mono Lift I would suggest focusing on your squad and not even thinking about using the monolith Broski
Thanks Jim. Just ordered it as I want to avoid walking out with heavy squats and I want that bar at the top of my lift for benching. Well done.

On the bench, I learned with suicide grip. Trying to break the habit, but sometimes I forget.
Thanks for review. I'll subscribe 😁👍
Thanks a lot, man!
Shame they don’t make the strap with a jcup as the strap holder would be useful if you can’t complete the rep and get the bar back in the lift.
We need you back jim for fuck sakes
thanks man. I have been thinking about it, but starting fitness from zero after some health scares. Hope all is well for you!
Nice video. What size square tubing are your up rights?
2x3. I have the t-3.
How far from the top pin to where the bar sits? I have a yoke I use as a rack so the top spot for j hooks isn’t super high
About 13.5"
Could you measure the distance from the
5/8” peg to the hole where the safety pin goes in? I have a rogue R4 and want to see if these fit

Thanks! I really appreciate it
