The wild Imaginary West's mines remind me a lot of Tremors 4 - even though it's the fourth in a franchise of monster movies, it's a very imaginative and well done story about how a small western mining town would handle being besieged by subterranean monsters. As a kid watching the miners being hunted by unseen monsters behind the dirt walls always terrified me uniquely

Even the spiderweb idea that didn't work this time created such incredibly interesting globs and webs that seemed perfect for an alien scene. Great video, love all the creepy mine denizens!
If you mix Ultramarine Blue and Burnt Umber you'll get what's called "chromatic black". It often reads as a deeper black than ivory black and you can control it's warmth, allowing you to have "cool" or "warm" shadows. I'd be curious to see how it compares to the special black paints.
