I used a 10 pound weight on one end of a dumbbell handle with a 2 1/2 pound weight (for gripping) on the other end

I like the way you designed the wrist roller. Have you had any problems with the rope slipping off the hook? Also would like to know how many pieces of bamboo do you use on your large bamboo bundle? I have made my own that I have them placed in a large can but I feel like that I need to make it bigger. Also wondering if you can make a video of you training with your's. I use mine to practice nukite, but I have heard that there are other uses also. Just found your channel and subscribed. It looks like you have some good information from what little I have seen and I like that you talked about how you would do things differently.

I've never had any issues with rope slipping off the hook, and I think the bundle has 54 pieces in it (not sure though, may be 72 or 108). I use bamboo bundles for all types of impact training. Is that what you're referring to?

Thank you for responding to my question. Yes that is what I was asking. I have a book by Michael Clarke, Hojo Undo, in which it is called a tou. I need to add more pieces to mine. I also believe based on your video that I have my pieces too tight. The arts that I practice have gotten away from Hojo undo but I am trying to incorporate it back into my personal training.

@@wendellbenedict4793 The full-length bamboo bundle can be used for impact with any hand shapes -essentially a punching bag before they were around.
If you make smaller/shorter bundles, they are used in some chinese schools for grip and impact training by tossing and catching aggressively.

Is the bamboo the same size and type? I’ve heard from other sources that one type is better(?). Idk???

I actually think that big protein powder containers work great for gripping jars....is it authentic? No. Does it work? Hell yeah!

For the griping jars how do you wrap the rope around them? & what kind of rope

TheOldRaven I'm not sure exactly what kind of rope, I just picked it up at a craft store.
To wrap it, I started from the bottom so that I could cover the very end of it to hold it in place, and then put some glue where the end at the top wraps through.
