आपने बिलकुल ठीक कहा रॉबिन जी, यदि गाय को माता कह रहे हैं और बुढ़ापे में उसे सड़क पर छोड़ रहे हैं तो ये ढोंग और स्वार्थ के सिवा कुछ नहीं है. मैंने भी कई ऐसी गौशालायें देखी हैं जहाँ पर गायों को ठीक से खड़े होने की जगह नहीं है, बैठना तो दूर की बात, और वो कीचड़ और गोबर से पुती हुई थी.

The state of the cows in the govt shelter seems horrendous. How undernourished and unwell they look. What a blessing that you guys @Peepal Farm visit them n check on them on a regular basis. I do agree that the govt seriously needs to take positive steps to help the cows n the calves. For my part, i have since a good many years quit consuming dairy products.
That's a HUGE way to do your part----to stop consuming milk. Good for you, I know that can be tough!! But when you see what milk does to cows and their babies, it's hard to drink it with a clear conscious. 💔

I think the local communities should come up & give donations in form of food & medicine of the Cows in sheds after all they have fed our children during infancy or when mothers were unable to feed their babies cows milk was considered the best. Lets pay back her.

@Ritika Todi - It depends what you are cooking? When I am making dessert like seviya in which ghee is traditionally used. I substitute ghee with coconut oil, and because coconut oil is inherently sweet you need to add less sugar 😉

I thought about same an year back and turned vegan. Enough of calling a cow "gau mata" and then once it stops milk "go mata".. I am very ashamed of people calling themselves as vegetarian without realising the trouble a cow has to go through because of their paneer, milk consumption. When lockdown happened every one wanted to have milk for immunity but how many cared for cow which actually produced milk for its calf.

Lord Krishna love butter,milk etc but he take care of them also. just like him i also have cows and we take care of them we do not sell milk of those cows. Milk of those cows were taken by calf and our family and when those cows get older then also we keep them and take care of them like previously and I don't think it's wrong.

We have to create a separate place in the wild where we can set them free if the owner is unable to feed them. We can also collect all the cows and other animals from street and localities and set them free in the open area. Hope government can do this or we as collective.
It a great idea but not 100% practicable due to the costs involved in it. I see the reduction or non consumption of dairy as a better option. Anyways yours was a noble idea.
It's not possible to make a stabilisation between business models and love for the cow. See when we expect the farms to run like an industry, we need to find the way of industrial waste. The only way is slottering. That is why I am against the idea of over industrialisation of anything. It causes an unnecessary load on natural resources and generate a lot of waste.
With this suggestion. All the dairy product price will touch the sky How ?- Farmer will need more land to kept those unproductive animals and moreover daily feeding cost and labor cost will blast his pocket. Eventually he has to raise the milk price to get over from the situation.
‘Unproductive Animal’ you say. This is about having empathy for animals. You can’t call an animal unproductive just because you don’t get anything out of it. They have their own life and you have your own.
If in case milk prices sky rockets, don’t buy milk and when demand for milk drops the price will also come down. I’m not trying to tell you what to eat or not but just talking about the scenario.
