    "I got 96 tears and 96 eyes" is one of the greatest lines in rock and roll. This lineup of The Cramps included Bryan Gregory on the fuzziest of fuzz guitars. For more along this line the album "Songs The Lord Taught Us" , with a LOT of the songs on there perfect for a Halloween mix-tape.

      There is a song from the 60s called 96 Tears

  • @RobtSc

    The lyric "I got 96 tears and 96 eyes" is a nod to the 1960s garage classic 96 Tears by Question Mark and the Mysterians.

      And to the fact that flies do, in fact, have 96 eyes.

    The Cramps song “Garbage Man” is a big fan favourite, I’d definitely recommend checking out

    Love this song, this was the first song on The Cramps first EP in 1978!!!! Punkabilly, or Psychobilly is born! SO influential! Keep it going Justin!!!

    The term you're looking for to describe the guitar is rockabilly. Heavy reverb and slap back delay on those guitars. Not too disimilar from the guitar tone surf rock guitarists. Rockabilly justs adds a country twang.
    Another fly song to check out would be I Am the Fly by Wire.

    Quite possibly the best band ever on record and on stage. RIP Lux.

    Friend of mine got it by post having not heard it, as it turned up unexpectedly as a 12" single he played it at 33 rather than 45 for the first week, while the rest of us pissed ourselves and took bets about how long it would take him to work it out.

    You need to check out at least for your own enjoyment the video from the show they played as Napa State Mental Hospital. Yes, the ‘80s had the Cramps performing for the patients of am insane asylum. Classic line from Lux, “They said you people were crazy, but you seem alright to me.”

      Lux would go back and forth from the mike instead of using the volume knob. Serious Lo-Fi, and unique music. If you are half as good as Ivy's band, you are exceptional.

    You MUST hear Southern Culture on the Skids, or/and Los Straightjackets. The loony ‘60s evolved, being the true form of artistic musical expression for Modern Times.

    I like this band. Don't love everything, but they have some great songs. Humas Fly I'd put among the interesting (very influential, no doubt about it) songs but not so great. For me their best album is A Date With Elvis. Try What's inside the girl or Can Your Pussy Do The Dog (if you dare!).

    If you want something Western (and eventually only very slightly surfer) that appears to involve someone going for a walk round town from his home 6 feet down in the cemetery (but I might have it backwards) that mixes reasonably cheery musical sound with topics like suicide, and ends with some added fly on the violin, then *The Transient* by Bergen band *Major Parkinson* should do nicely. th-cam.com/video/XRHsN_IrTuY/w-d-xo.html
    (Enjoyed the Cramps but can't think of anything to add to what's already been said about them.)

      @sicko_the_ew ปีที่แล้ว

      Nearly forgot (this and something else that I'm still only aware of having forgotten). The little Aussie kid who played great blues guitar is going through adolescence now (and can laugh about what it does to his voice), and has released his own song: *Crossroads* th-cam.com/video/kDXpSlJMisQ/w-d-xo.html by *Taj Farant* . (It's not a cover of the old Crossroads.)

    • @sicko_the_ew
      @sicko_the_ew ปีที่แล้ว

      Found it. Some old jazz done afresh and groovy (by some groovy cats called *Allison Young* and *Josh Turner* - Did I sound authentic with all the groovy?) Short. Very sweet. Just the thing to put you in an even better mood, and make you float up, stick to the ceiling, and refuse to come back down. th-cam.com/video/luOCtIIEv1U/w-d-xo.html
      *The Best is Yet to Come*
