@@HerReelReview yes. it was perfect in my opinion. I wish they didn’t retcon rhonda’s death just for her to meet Darren again. Edit: nevermind Rhonda survived 😅
Was a decent campy horror flick just wasn’t a fan of the ending it felt forced as a way to try to leave room open for sequels/ a franchise when they should’ve just gave us a cohesive/open for interpretation ending! made no sense for major to still be bonded to crocket after betraying him to save his mom imo!
@@HerReelReview I think the book nook being staked into another yard would have been fun. Further, I would have liked to have seen if the book nook had some sort of effect that kept the tv on outside of the magic marker as to why no matter what Summer did, the tv kept coming back on.
Like the film but I’m seeing everyone agreeing on the ending. There was no need for the child to still have some attachment towards Mr.Crockett, especially seeing his mother “un-alive” him, and his mother had better patience than me because chile…… 😭
Exactly... and the idea that he is a demon spirit they could have shown someone else getting their hands on a tape and Mr. Crockett possibly being alive that way.
I finally watched it and I got some thoughts. Seeing the gruesome deaths like cutting the stomach and shoving stuff into the stomach, and using the bubble gun to blow a guy's head off was nuts, I did like that they explained Mr. Crocket's backstory by why he's helping them, kids, him being an a**hole, and him doing the deed for the devil. Major destroying his Dad's photo and trophy over a tape was disrespectful and the character of Eddie and the reveal were nothing special because Eddie wasn't interesting to me. I enjoyed the movie and hope it gets a sequel.
Initially, in the beginning of the movie, that mother had the patience of Jobe.. what an enormous brat! Otherwise, as I've never been a big horror fan. It was quite interesting, not so awful as most horror films go. Still I agree, the ending was questionable, but it didn't ruin the movie for me.
i wish they make me care about the kids, bc, no. those kids were 8 and look 16. i'm an only child, i have never been shout and i never act like that, it doesn't help that the movie try to make me care for Mr Crocket
I think they are setting up a backstory were the only way to truly vanquish him will be some type of closer with his father; however, the way he dismissed Alex shows that he only cares about the kids he is able to preserve for all eternity.
Honestly the movie was definitely good at the same time it felt like goosebumps where at the end of the episode there’s always that one twist at the end making you feel like there’s a possible sequel to this episode but there isn’t because honestly it was good I wouldn’t say that it was the best I wouldn’t say that it was the top movie of the year I will say that it felt like a 90s or 80s movie which definitely goes with the theme of what it was going for but at the same time it definitely feels like if it has a sequel it definitely needs to just go all out and not just hold back. Don’t give me wrong this movie definitely need to SQL and it will become a cult classic sooner or later but yeah it will be on the same level as possibly Candyman because let’s be honest movie felt like a mix of Candyman in nightmare on elm street with the lead theme of Mr. Rogers but evil.
Did you have fun in Mr. Crocket's World?

He looks like the long lost brother of the Whispers‼️🤔🧐
I first thought of Picture Pages + Mr. Rogers. I think the Magic Marker is a callback to Cosby's tool on Picture Pages.

Agree! I would prefer us to see the vhs getting picked up by someone else.

I told my mom the same thing!! That little traitor would have just been gone!

It was enjoyable enough but could’ve been much better. Mr. Crocket was the highlight. Great review!
Thanks you... I hope they flesh him out more if there is a sequel
I'm excited to see this film. Finally a Black horror film with a post-bellum villain.
Hello. I saw you on the chat earlier. 😊

Yes. There are so few and none that have spinoff potential
Mr. Crockett and his lovely friends are creepy as heck...I need to watch this now. 😃
Yes. I hope we get into the friends backstory in the next film

I really wish we had a flashback of the dad because him destroying the trophy was too much... I would've blacked out
@@HerReelReview Yeah, I would love to see the Dad as well so we can get context for why Summer loved him that much.
Enjoy the movie overall. The ending should had a another child receiving the video tape.
I really enjoyed this movie and the great review! Looking forward to checking out more of your movie reviews.
Never thought Pee Wee Hermen and Mr. Roger's would have Richard Pryor host a kids show

Yes! He definitely was having a cry for help and needed more conversation around the father's death.
Campy & creepy....the son was a MAJOR pain in tha ass😂😂😂... bad as hell lol....the actor who played the villain did a great job!!
this movie had amazing potential the writing is a lil off n goofy, but it was fun and the main characters delivered .
I could have done without the jumpscare at the end.
He's an evil Richard Pryor!

It reminds me alot of Bray Wyatt from the WWE and the Firefly Funhouse
Yes! I could totally see that.
Doing what you do isn’t easy I tried making 1 video….it didn’t go well
Thank you so much!
It was pretty good and funny.
I'd love to see a sequel with a different kid
Great review! I enjoy the movie as well.
@WelcomeToTheDarkside it had a good foundation
Oooooh
@@Burgundybluecommentary 👋🏿 Hey BB! How you doing luv
It was more silly and campy then anything. I have to give it a D+. Didn't like it.
Definitely understand... I like campy horror best because I'm a big chicken. Do you usually watch campy horror or scary horror?
@@HerReelReview yes. My favorite scary movie so far is Smile. I'm waiting to see part 2
@@braunbroadnax2151 I'm gonna be dropping a review of Smile and Smile 2 soon. I think you'll like Smile 2
