The premise wasn't all that complicated. For whatever reason, the writer just went out of their way to write a character who was purposely making bad decision every single time. I tried to watch it but at some point I thought it was idiotic. Might as well just watch the idiotic rom-com overdone cliche diarrhea drama like "What's wrong with secretary Kim".
This is literally not how bipolar works at all lol. I know because I'm bipolar and it runs in my family and I have degrees in psychology. You don't get memory lapses, you don't black out, you don't completely forget huge things. Bipolar isn't the same for everyone, it manifests differently. But no one has the stuff ella is having. The mothers gambling fits as some people lose impulse control while experiencing mania. Some of the things Ella is exhibiting is dissociation. Black outs, losing time, repressed memories, flashback memories. You can get some disassociation with affect disorders, but not this type. This type is more typical of severe childhood trauma or trauma in general. This looks more like DID than Bipolar. It could of course be both, its very common to have more than one psych diagnosis. But something like DID is more caused from nuture than nature ( happening after birth as opposed to being genetic or congenital) Whats common is you will have more than one affect disorder like bipolar, depression, ocd, anxiety ect.
Everyone is a bit dirty in this drama, except the little girl. While i do hate the hubby for cheating on his wife with her bestie, he did investigate their daughter's parentage and tried to help his wife before he died. He truly was remorseful for his betrayal as he thought she had cheated first. It's still no excuse to cheat. Any is just flat out evil along with her dad. At leadt he was disgusted about his daughter's chesting with the wife's hubby. The steodad did have his reasons for his shady actions as well but at least he truly loved his stepdaughter and the stepgranddaughter. I'm glad that Ella ended up with Yin Taiwu. She ended up with a good guy and i'm sure her dead hubby would agree with that union. He wasn't evil, he just made bad decisions. Thank you for the summary. This drama seems interesting but very confusing on all the twists and turns. I got confused a few times so i'm gratefu that you simplified everything.
How the heck does Louis get out? Maybe he made a deal but he should still be doing more time. He’s an accomplice to everything yet he gets a pass???? 🤦♀️
