Just wanted to say thank you, I just grabbed one of these mixers. I can't believe there are so few reviews on this. Your spot on review and that sub out saves me from running aux send on my Allen and Heath boards. I personally wouldn't use this to record. I use this simply as a playback mixer for pre recorded music perfect, inexpensive, sounds pretty darn good to. To be honest it's the only console I could find with the dedicated subwoofer out. If anyone reading this happens to know of any other mixers with a dedicated sub out please reply (I'm already worried about finding a replacement for this). Great youtube instructional video, thank you.
I'm a somewhat novice audio recorder and I'm having a new issue. I've searched the web and forums and only found articles that tangentially address the issue I'm having. I recently purchased the Pyle PMX464 4-channel USB mixer and am connecting it to a VIVO book via USB to USB-C cable. I'm using an APEX180 condenser microphone & Audacity to record my audio. However I'm finding there is a very noticeable hissing around the audio when speaking. And I don't mean the ambient hissing one always has to deal with. It's only present when I'm talking. If I keep silent, there is no noise at all. Not even ambient sound. The hissing is noticeable and present regardless of gain levels or effects set. (I've also tested my SURE SM58 microphone and the issue still persists). Also, using Audacity's built in noise removal has no effect (I made sure to have a silent ambient noise sample before using the tool). Based on my setup, are there any possible settings/software solutions I could try?
Wait! Is that a subwoofer out or a sub channel out? If it’s a subwoofer out, then it only outputs bass? I think you mislabeling that. I think it’s just another separate output with a separate volume control so you can send it to the Hous mix for example or to your monitor.
I realize this is old, but I am curious. What's the difference between using the subwoofer out, or using post aux send. From this video, I'm under the impressions that the level of the bass will not change with the main mix. E.G. you turn the main mix down but the subwoofer output remains the same.
I had a question.I I just bought this interface a few days ago and when recording using it as an audio interface in OBS, the audio keeps dropping out periodically. My old interface was a zoom H6 and this was never an issue so i’m compelled to think it’s the mixer. it is plugged into a 2017 iMac 21.5 inch with the USB cable it came with. Can anyone tell me what the issue is?
I do not believe that is a sub-woofer output - although it can be used for that. Instead, I suspect, based on the user manual, it is simply another output like what is called control room or AUX output on other mixers - I do not believe it is limited to sub-woofer frequencies. Just saying. JR

IMHO, No one gives a better bang for bucks than Pyle.

Your right about the AUX/Monitor for the Subwoofer, this mixer just makes it easier to see it and setup.
@@expertisland Thank you!
