CBBAG 40th - Introduction & And Still The Binder with Don Taylor

CBBAG held it's 40th Anniversary celebration on July 29, 2023 at the University of Western Ontario in London. Participants were able to explore the University Archives and visit Huron College's Library & Letterpress studio.
This video has the opening remarks but President Christine McNair (apologies the recording was started late and the land acknowledgement was cut off. This has been include in text form in the video) followed by the first talk of the day: "And Still the Binder" by Don Taylor.
Don Taylor is a bookbinder and restorer who works and teaches in Toronto. He has taught for CBBAG since 1984. He was trained in bookbinding and design at Sheridan College and the Three Schools of Art and has studied with Betsy Palmer Eldridge. His work is exhibited widely and is represented in public and private collections across Canada. He can be found at dontaylorbookbinder.com
