The second best team, Stellenbosch, is 13 points behind Sundowns, Orlando Pirates is 16 points poorer at number 3, Kaizer Chiefs, one of the Top 3 teams in the PSL, is 29 points poorer/behind Sundowns. There's no hope for any PSL team to compete with Sundowns. I have just given up.

Any team can do that if they had money to get the best players in the PSL thus weakening the other teams. If you weaken your opponents by taking their best arsenal it's easy to dominate them. Pirates won CAF when it was still tough and Sundowns won it by luck and you can see they are struggling to win it fairly now proof that they are only strong here at home. And when it comes to cup competitions they are also struggling against Pirates.
