Yes the G-Turn (or rotation) looks cool. And I'm sure soon there'll be some yuppie tubers going nuts on rodeo competitions with it. But other than that, really wonder how many actual practical situations it's going to be needed anyway. Thing is the rotation movement may not be intuitive to the driver or easy to predict with precision. What will be more useful? Or the perhaps the more useful feature with the 4-wheel x 4-motor capability, that I would like to see, is: pivot. I want the G to be able to pivot around any of the 4 wheels. Meaning that to use any one wheel as the center point, and move the other wheels so the car pivots around one stopped wheel. You'll need a selector to choose pivoting the front or the rear? Then, left or right is just by the steering wheel. So for instance, pivoting a front wheel, two wheels on the opposite side shall move on the direction of the pivot; rear wheel on the same side turns lightly in countering direction to aid the turn rate. The 3 wheels can turn in different speeds! Which is why 4 motors is so cool! This feature is more useful to achieve tight & precise turns. Another feature I would like is an option for a small built-in generator; maybe just a 3-cylinder ~1000cc engine. Source it from Yamaha if you don't have one. Rebalancing the design obviously could be a problem; unless of course, this is already thought for. Perhaps swapping out some battery for putting in the generator option? Need a redesign to be even possible? The thought is that nobody is going to be able to relax going camping with an EQG. In fact, going just a little far from the grid is going to make most people nervous, let alone going off grid! I'd pack a maybe 2kW portable generator & jerry cans going anywhere offroad anyway. But that's just hideous with such a pricey luxury glamping tool... Nobody is going to sleep well glamping in an EQG. Generator is necessary, if the meaning of 'G' is really something related to serious offroading! Otherwise, it's just a cool (& expensive) toy for some occasional short & quick day-trips. A small generator can charge the battery while boondocking, but certainly can also help to increase some range when the car is running. Starting the generator when the car is running or perhaps as soon as the battery level reach a certain set percentage for example. So it's definitely not an overhead nor a deadweight.
Its four individually controlled electric motors mounted close to the wheels enable it to do a full 360-turn around a vertical axis. This is, of course, extremely useful on demanding terrain where there is limited room for manoeuvre.
When I was 15 I heard a sound of G for a first time. That's when I felt in love with it. G is gonna be my first vehicle and it's 99% based on its sound. Make Electric one, but don't kill my child dreams. Don't remove V8 out of the line.

WOW! Now that’s an amazing truck. 360° swivel turn, incredible. I hope its available with that paint job. And I’ve heard it uses some great new battery tech too. Lithium-Sulphur. Greater energy density, faster charging, and not prone to catastrophic thermal runaway. I wish these batteries were available in the EQE and EQS, and every other electric vehicle on the market.

No. Gas will still be available. No one said it’s being replaced. EQ is just another model. EV says will plateau - already have. Most people are smart enough to realize they are not ‘saving the planet’ by buying electric. Massive waste of government money to promote EV sales!

It's good to see this having 4 individual motors. A trend I've seen with electric offroaders is giving it only 3 motors and a real e locker in the front

300k with drip rail rooflines! Gotta love the expensive simple to make body panels! I am glad it’s going electric though ,just can never justify the price for the Off-road ability and durability of the old full size broncos at 1/20 the price .

One of the best videos they have uploaded, well it has four electric motors but how many horsepower does it have and what is the difference in weight due to the batteries in relation to the gasoline G.
This car devloped by emissions regulations, and this is why it will never be able to repalce the V8/v12 non OPF engines. it is not hard to guess that this is the heaviest G Wegon in the history. which is not ideal for off road. German engineers are bound by regulation, before the Dieselgate affair, German engines and vehicles were the most interesting in the world. M5 V10, Q7 V12TDI, supercharged AMGs, N/A AMGs, and more.

it's cool but it has a very high impact on the surface you are driving on. This is why Rivian decided to not include this feature.
