    I'm definitely going to use the clap and hand up tips.

  • @BrendanEvan
    @BrendanEvan 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    1. Plan and Prepare upfront (I kind of hate doing this but admit it does help)
    2. Capture everything for the edit (+ leave notes for yourself)
    3. Monitor recording (I've not done this at times and regretted it! The fuji camera app sucks for this)
    4. Use templates (I really need to learn to do this)
    5. Build a catalog of music for your videos (Easier said than done)

    Awesome! I never used my phone to monitor/control my Canon but I just set it up after watching this. Super easy and I can't believe how much this is going to help me. I really appreciate it because I hate getting up and sitting down to walk to the camera between every take. Thank you!

    Thank you for the excellent tips! I’ve learned over time these 5 steps save an enormous amount of time. Just last night I thought to highlight parts by hand covering the camera but the clap is a great idea because often when finished, I forget the spot that needs attention and have to review again.

    • @PrimalVideo
      @PrimalVideo  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No problem! The clap is such a time saver!

    I've always worked on getting the right take before moving onto the next...but never thought of the hand clap or hand up to the camera to give an editing marker. I will be implementing this oh so simple technique IMMEDIATELY! Thanks Justin 👍

    Too awesome!! I can’t TELL you how stressed out this has made me at times!! I planned my voiceover for my latest vid last night at work! Still working on learning about templates. As far as thinking about editing while I’m recording-if I get tongue tied, I just stop for a few seconds before I go on. Then I just cut that section out later. I never have random friends laying around!!?? 😂🙌🏻 Thank you SO much!!

    7:20 Justin is describing a lot of friction reduction. As he was showing the graphics saved as a preset, with him on set, I thought...that looks like a thumbnail right there. So yeah. You could have at least a draft, or an iteration of a thumbnail by grabbing screenshots from footage. At moments during editing...snap. Or capture. Snapture?
    Hmm.
    Forget I said that last thing. (Googling for prior usage...)

    I have a folder for Music
    That really make adding music to my video faster. 👍
    PS: But some times still need to spent some time scrolling through yt audio library to update my music choice😂
