I started on this kit about two weeks ago as my first ever wood ship model. I am just about ready to start painting it. They actually give you the option of making the bottom out of three pieces edge glued that is what those pieces are for at 6:11. It takes some getting used to working with pieces so tiny and fragile but it is fun.
I realized that about those pieces since then...but I think I mention them again in a later video. It is a fun little kit...and even after years of working with wood models, I am learning one it. Thanks for stopping by.
