I did time in CA back in the late 90's / early 00's - it was a very unique experience for me because I'm Irish but I grew up around mostly Mexicans and Blacks and everyone was giving me advice that I was gonna have to ride with the Woods in there and I knew what I had heard about it but was ignorant to what it was really gonna be like and didn't have a racist bone in my body so I didn't wanna rock with the Woods necessarily at first but that changed quickly and I did what I had to do in there and rode with the Woodpile and made it home. But it changed me, having everything so segregated and then coming back home where life wasn't like that. It was weird. It really affected me mentally for years afterwards. Like I said, I just subscribed so I'm peepin' out your videos bro and they're dope but I haven't seen them all yet obviously but if you don't have one addressing that type of shit - you should consider it. It's A LOT of young "White" kids who were raised on hip hop culture and what not, who don't understand what they gotta do behind them walls when it comes to sticking with your race and I saw a lot of confused "White" kids who didn't wanna listen to advice get rolled the fuck up over that shit. Oh yeah and you talked about the different hustles. After a while, I had the horse races. POST TIME! Yall do that shit? With the playing cards? Heart Attack, Spade Away, Diamond Joe and Club Feet. LOL. 4 players, 1 soup each to enter, winner gets 3 and I kept 1 for running the game. Did like 10 races per night = 10 soups = fed the Woodpile. You wanna make friends- feed 'em. LOL

What about martial artists or boxers in prison? I'm not talking black belt factory dudes who trained for a year and got a black belt for $300. I'm talking legit badasses. Like someone who spent 25 years training boxing, wrestling, Hapkido, Bjj ect.
ryan dravinski ... it helps, i was pretty shredded when I went in, did a few years of muay-thai and ended up talkin to alot of people about it. Never had to get physical but I think people sorta respected me (and word went round that i was a psycho from my charge that landed me there).
So you can cook your own food in prison? I thought everyone was supposed to just eat at the cafeteria?? So you also have your own kitchen there, together with raw ingredients??

I made a killing doing legal work too. 5yrs in Brushy Mountain State Penitentiary. Alot of guys don't have the education to do some of those things. Orient yourself and present yourself as an intelligent individual, you can become an important asset.

I’ve subscribed yesterday and just been going through your videos. I don’t really talk to ppl in jail, but ik a lot of ppl my age who have, including family members. I use to be heading down the wrong paths facing serious charges (robbery, assault, etc). But now I use my experiences as a way to mentor and deter others. My stepdad (brothers dad) is currently in the Pen. He’s been before. He just gets out and goes back. He’ll be so close to graduating college with his culinary and gets sent back for stupid shit. I also have a close friend who’s on his way to the pen if he don’t get his shit together. Hopefully they will learn for themselves if not for anybody else. I really respect and admire what you’re doing, keep up the good work✊🏾

I don't remember how I found this type of channel.I got arrested when I was 18 and newly arrived in Phoenix.I had a job at a large project steel fabrication company.I got arrested and the County deputies found 1/2 gram of marijuana.Automatic felony in Arizona.I had money on me($100+)so I wasn't worried. At night court I stood in front of Judge Castro.Thick hair, beard and moustache.Bailiff announced my charge of possession of marijuana.Judge asked if the weed was mine.I said "Yes, your honor, It belongs to me.".Where did I get it(what neighborhood),who sold it to me,Had I cooperated with the Deputies?.This wasn't looking good.Told the judge I didn't know the city well but had bought a little bit at a gas station.Told him young man getting gas on other side of the pump asked if I wanted to get some because he needed gas money.Judge asked how much money I had. Bailiff said Paperwork says $100 and 10 cents."Bail is $112." Next.When I got my phone call,I called my Aunt, my stepfathers sister.My parents were living in an apartment but in Moms last letter they were moving into a house.She was going to send me new address and phone number.Jailer dials number for Aunt.When phone is answered, Jailer announces it's a collect call from Maricopa County Jail, will they accept the call.Auntie Dearest starts swearing. Eventually she says "NO" and hangs up.The Jailer says to me "That's the coldest call I ever heard".For $12 short, I go up stairs.Im processed with other felons.Im put in a day room with 25 to 30 Mexicans and Indians,3 or 4 blacks and me,only white boy.The next morning we all go downstairs.Going to court today?. Follow the deputy.Medical issues?. Follow the deputy.Everyone else show hospital style bracelet for count and breakfast.I sit in far corner with other white people.In dayroom I meet Roosevelt Parker.He had been on TV news.Beat a store clerk so badly,They were waiting for him to die so the charges for the assault could be upgraded to capital murder.Earlier that morning a very ugly vato had walked over to me and started speaking a rapid fire series of questions and comments.My Spanish was good (I thought anyway)and I asked him in Spanish if he could speak more slowly,I would understand better and would be able to answer his questions.He started grinning and went back to the leadership table.These gangsters didn't have a box to put me in.When Mr.Parker started to thr
