I should’ve also said it is noisy because I have it on a concrete floor in a shed. I’m going to run a test and tell you exactly how many decibels it is at about 10 m so stay tuned.
I have had one for 3 years, maybe 4, and it's a good thing. The backup is second to none if needed. We use to run the air conditioner when needed up north in WA.
I have to admit, until you put a post up on Facebook, I had never heard of them and therefore didn't say hello at the Perth 4WD show. Bet you can't beat my amount of episodes. Challenge is on Fuller.🤣
Yeah I have to admit myself. I did not know about them. I was leaning towards the same generator you purchased and annie showed me Mickey blue so I did my research. I gave him a call had a good yarn with him he did say he knew you . You will have to have a yarn with him next time you’re in W.A. I think originally he’s ex Navy.
There is a place on the solar continuum where it just makes sense to carry an appropriately sized, good value generator. Some people spend thousands of dollars on lithium based solar set ups that needs constant monitoring and are weather dependent. Good call. I've been waiting for someone who's into free camping to post the bleedin' obvious. Generators aren't annoying if there's no one else around!
Cheers thanks. I thought I was the only one that thought this way like I said they have their place as long as you use them responsibly. There’s nothing wrong with them. I have a mate who put up a generator video 12 months ago. He got so many hateful responses. He was nearly forced to pull the video down. I think times have changed and people realise solar and lithium batteries are great, but they have their limitations 👍👍
Fantastic episode Steve looks like an awesome generator and 3.5 kva where a lot of them are only 2 kva. I brought 1 many years ago now off eBay and my is 3.5 kva to run the caravan it’s done a lot of hours of use but if you look after it with the services and keep the fuel filter and fuel clean it will last a life time thanks for sharing your experience with us 🇦🇺👍
Thanks Terry. Looking at your generator was one of the reasons I went for this type of generator. I think you’re better off in the long run with something a little bit bigger than going too small cheers mate.
Good clip mate looks a good unit I’m thinking I need one . As you asked for comments I guess it’s not how loud it is for you the fact is if your camping neighbours think it annoys the crap out of them that is what most generators do , no matter how silent they appear to the owners , the neighbours within 300 meters will always not invite you over for a beer as the sunsets as the generator as annoyed them all day and you are not on their Xmas card list lol .
You’re right, generators can be noisy and annoying. I have definitely been camping and thought to myself. Do these people realise? I’m trying to enjoy myself hopefully with my years of Camping I will have enough sense to know when to use and not to cheers thanks for commenting. 👍🎄
Nice generator. I hope it has better internals for you than the cheap readily available on website ones, that appear identical. Can it be paralleled with another MB? Ur right, all that display and extra stuff doesnt really contribute to the end result anyway. 3.5 max probably 3.0 continuous size is so much more flexible than the 2.0 class also. I'm currently setting up 2 x 3.5 Kw units of a different brand, with professional made parallel kit ( Circuit breaker, heavy guage cables and 1 x 32A outlet ) and house manual transfer switch, for standby power in the event of outages, which seem to be more common these days with our seemingly unbridled headlong rush toward net zero here in Vic. Hope ur unit gives you a long and reliable service life, Cheers, Mike.
Thanks Mike. Yeah hopefully it will be better than the cheaper ones. I think it will be. He has a good reputation and with a six year warranty which is one of the best ones you can get. We don’t get a lot of blackouts here but it will come in handy if we do. Thanks for commenting muchly appreciated.
@@Sawadventures67 I've hooked my 3.5 kva generator to the house (input socket wired up by a licenced sparkie) and it runs 2 fridges, lights and internet (phones) etc - all the essentials including the important one for us which is the pressure pump because we're on tank water and don't have it gravity fed. Avoid using high draw items like domestic aircon, electric kettle, microwave, iron, toaster etc and it will handle power outages easily. Go into your van if you want an aircon :)
Push button 6-15 times. Pushes literally 27 times and realizes not turned on. Pushes another 16. One of your best Fuller!!!!! 🤣😂 You Diddlydonk. Annie needs to start supervising you deadset.
Not sure yet I don’t have the Honda. The reason I went with this one. It was cheaper than the Honda E 22 and had more power. I do have a mate that has a Honda and they both sound about the same as in noise. Hopefully it will be okay but I will keep you informed. Thanks for commenting. Much appreciated.
The ones that Mick blue sell are made in the Hyundai factory the Gentrax may very well be made by AliBaba in China it is a bit like a very well known fire pit that is made by snow peak in Japan ,they sell for over $599 alibaba started copying their product and sell them to everyone for less than $100. I will continue to support an Aussie bloke having a go rather than companies that are just in it for the quick sale.thanks for your input though much appreciated 👍
Wow that little guy is a loud one. My Honda EU30IS has a commercial engine and is less than 50dB
Nice for the extra money I would expect it should 👍
I should’ve also said it is noisy because I have it on a concrete floor in a shed. I’m going to run a test and tell you exactly how many decibels it is at about 10 m so stay tuned.
@ I don’t think you would call them cheap $2000. If I would’ve bought the one that was $799 that’s cheap. A Honda is 2200.
Buck will be proud of ya. All done in one video clip. Buck will have to lift his game now 😂😂😂😂
I have had one for 3 years, maybe 4, and it's a good thing. The backup is second to none if needed. We use to run the air conditioner when needed up north in WA.
Thanks for letting me know your the first person who has commented that they have one cheers 🇦🇺👍

Great clip Stephen. I deal machine for an caravan aircon no matter what model it will have no problems running it
Definitely jack 👍
👏👏👏👍👍👁️👁️😎😇🐕🦺❤️🙏thanks mate,we appreciate all your hard work.
Thanks, Graham. Much appreciated.
With 3.5kva, you will be able to run essential parts of the house in blackouts if you have a generator plug on the house.
Yes, I was going to look into getting one of those hooked up to my house

Where are you going to store it on the camper?😊
Going to keep it in your back of the FJ

Mate, I have been studying all your best videos and I think I’ve got your style down pat. Thanks for teaching me all yourRussell Coit moves. 🤣🤣🤣
@@Sawadventures67 You have taken the mantle after that. 27 pushes.
Those wheels must lock on properly mate. Surely. Give them a ring and see what they say. There must be something to lock them on to stop that rattle.
How does it compare with a Honda ?

Try wrapping some electrical tape around the axle then put the wheels on. This may stop the vibrations.
Will do thanks 👍
Looks good but I recon a Honda will be quiter tho what do you think 🤔
I have a mate with one next time we meet I will do a comparison with it
I would be interested in that one@@Sawadventures67

Fixed 😉👍
Mate it’s just a rebranded Gentrax they all come out of AliBaba…..hope you didn’t pay over $600 for it??
