    I managed to mangle "Blanc de Chine" in the video when I spoke about the white lamp! In reality, I think that's Italian and would be considered Fiore Bianco.

    Good evening, George! Mother used to have a set of the snack plates and cups, still in the box. She never used them, and they were sold at a yard sale. That reed organ was really pretty. I have a Mason and Hamlin reed organ, made in the last half of 1892. I had the pumps and bellows redone in it, and it sounds fantastic. I couldn't get into that 2" x 4" furniture or the blue bow geese when they first came out...still don't like either of them. You should've gone a bit slower in your booth...been nice to have shopped it😉 That bronze eagle is fantastic! I like the carved wood one, too! A lot of interesting items in all the shops! Thanks for the take-along!!!

    • @TheAntiqueNomad
      @TheAntiqueNomad  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It's interesting that you were able to get so much information about the organ you have! They are really rather nice if redone properly, I sold a good one in an estate sale a few years ago and I really am partial to them. That furniture was reminiscent of what sailors stationed in my hometown rented in the 1970s lol. The blue ribbon geese are absolutely not my style either, but they were so ubiquitous that they're somebody's! You're right that I should've slowed down so everyone could look, I need to do that sometime on a live perhaps. The eagles made me happy, too! Thanks for being here

    I had to stop the video straight away to say I really like the pretty snack sets. I have a bunch of them, and I do use them when I entertain and am only serving snacks. I have some friends that think it's too much work having to wash them etc. But I don't mind the "work", it is a big part of the fun (at least it is for me) putting on the ritz, so to speak, for your guests. I also love to set a pretty table for our dinner parties. I have a lot of different sets of dinner sets in various colors and styles. And again, it is all part of the fun. I had an old lava lamp. Years & years ago a girl I was babysitting became interested in it. I gave it to her. Then she got mad at me and got rid of it. I always regretted giving it to her, as it had been one of my favorite things.

      I didn't mean to imply that there were indians living there, you are correct that Kentucky was reserved as a hunting ground. I meant to say the town (which was settled by whites by the time of the Trail of Tears) was a town with services by the time the Cherokee were forced to go there
