- The body of our C10 has quite a bit of rust on it, so we went over to our friend Ben VanEperen at No Coast Custom and Rod Shop for some help with the C10 rust repair.
After the initial diagnosis, we decided to brace the cab to keep it stable, as we are completely removing the floor. Once everything was braced, we started the C10 body work installing our new 67-72 C10 floor.
Next we adjusted the doors and got to work on the 67-72 C10 rocker panel replacement. With the rocker panels in place, we moved on to the C10 rust repair by fitting a C10 cab corner replacement and 67-72 C10 cab support replacement.
We saved so many hours and probably some days by conducting the rust repair this way. We still have a lot of body work to go, but it feels great getting that much closer to having a cab that’s not completely full of rust.

THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! I LEARNED A LOT ABOUT PAINT AND BODY WORK.
THANK YOU DYNACORN !!!!
I guess I was lucky I just bought an old truck from a wrecking yard & switched cabs, it was very clean.
Great video. Not a magic show like on cable t.v. Takes lots of time and tries your patience.. One of my favorite stages of restorations. After 35+ years, still have some handy tips to learn about.
Would love to know how many hours you have to do all that body work
So would we! I don't think we counted, but definitely spent a lot of hours on it!
I ask because I have a 71 suburban in similar condition, trying to get a budget lined out on what it’s going to take before I jump in blind
To me… keeping a old vehicle alive with some hard work, patience and a bit of money is way better for the environment then just scraping it and melting it into a new pos new vehicle
What are the metal tab cab holders called & where to purchase them ?
Why replace the whole floor? That’s funny
I LOVE IT!!!! TOTALLY AWESOME FABRICATION SKILLS!!!! GREAT VIDEO AND THANKS FOR SHARING!!!!
thanks for uploading this guys. It really helps understand how this is done in order of operation. Keep posting these vids!
