    Can I just say, as an Aussie owner, that everything you said about this breed is 100% true? Every single thing.

      hobnobbordercollies should I get an Aussie with a tail or one that is docked?

    • @jasmijnleeflang1279
      @jasmijnleeflang1279 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Ana don’t know if u already made a decision, but you should either get one with a full tail or a natural bobtail (they exist), docking their tails is really painful and unnecessary

    • @fernandogenato5499
      @fernandogenato5499 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Jasmijn Leeflang I cant believe I commented this! I love their natural tails and my dad is getting a black bi with a tail on June 17th and I can’t be more excited

    • @jasmijnleeflang1279
      @jasmijnleeflang1279 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ana I’m excited for you! We were gonna get one but maybe a few weeks ago the breeder randomly got us off the list without giving a reason... even tho they had already put us in the groupchat with the other owners and we’d already met the pups...

    Our family and my childhood dog was half Australian shepherd. I'm convinced I'll never meet another like him, he was sweet, energetic, funny, and intelligent. We have the fondest memories of him. I'm on the lookout now for a pup we can add to the family again. It took some time to be ready but I think we are.

    Such an amazing breed of dog. I've grown up with them. Smartest one I ever had was my deaf pup Zeus. Sadly lost him at the age of 4 to a chip bag he got stuck on his head while I was at work. Broke my heart, but I was blessed to have him. Atlas had big shoes to feel and he now keeps my world up.

    I love this video! I have a mini Aussie named Candy and this video almost describes her whole life! She is a Tricolor, and does not have a tail. Since she is a Mini, she is about half the size of the regular Aussies, but still describes her very well, especially the muddy and psycho. We live in the country, and about 99% of the time she is muddy. I just adore this video!

    I've had an Aussie for 6 years now, adopted him from the pound when he was still pretty young. Best dog I've ever had...I love him. So happy and curious and intelligent. Quirky too!!! He practically has a seizure whenever I get ready to take him out for a walk or the park. Kind, gentle, loving Velcro dog!

    Dear Koda,
    We've been through a lot huh buddy? You are the best dog I have ever had! My one and only! You are a great listener you love going for walks, and you have the sweetest smile. You are my best friend. You are fulfilling your purpose to take care of your human. You are doing an excellent job! I may yell sometimes but we all make mistakes. Like when you can't quite get that new trick, or when I fall down while our runs, or when you bark at the school bus because you hate to see me go. I love you more than words can explain. You are the bravest 6 month old baby I have ever met, never change. Continue growling at that guy who gets a little too friendly. But always be kind. I wouldn't change you for the world! I love you my doodle dog.
    Love Mom ❤️

Cheers to the herding dogs.

    I can tell from the conformation these are truly Aussies. Ours had no tail, and was born that way. Here in the US, about 30% have the genetic pre-disposition to be born without tails. Thank you for sharing your video. These dogs are obviously loved and cared for greatly. Makes us miss our own...

    Amazing video! Thank you for making this and sharing it. My Aussie mix puppy comes home in three weeks and I can't wait to start working with his natural abilities. What you've showcased with this video perfectly illustrates all the best characteristics of this amazing breed. Their love for their people is the most important! If they didn't love you, they wouldn't be this eager to learn and work for you. The bond is real and very evident.
    A note on the tails...mine is coming from a home that did dock, and I didn't get the chance to intervene. He was born with a tail, but it's their preference to dock. My understanding is that the tail of a herding dog acts like a rudder, helping with some of that agility and quick turning. I know that my Jack will still be fine however.
    Again, thank you for sharing this amazing video. Maybe someday you'll see a video of my Aussie playing this hard too!
