I wouldn't say not crazy with religion, have you ever seen a Saint's day festival, in Malta? Or indeed, any religious celebration here? I have, & the Maltese, really go to town, streets are decorated with banners, light's & statue's there are brass band's & fireworks, even in the daytime, a Statue of the Saint is carried out of the church, for the crowd to see, these are life size, & very heavy, they have slots for pole's it takes a few men to lift them, the Maltese celebrate, every religious day going, public holidays are very frequent for the populace to celebrate, I would say the are steeped in religion.
