My wife and I stayed in one of these back in 2020--soon after the reopening. Was absolutely blown away by the room; this is an apartment. Incredible kitchen, laundry room, jetted tub... Just goes on and on. Amazing. Really to me the only drawback was transportation to the parks; you only have the bus system. This is a very large resort; there are 5 bus stops. We had to figure out the FIRST stop, so when the buses arrived, they arrived empty. Beautiful grounds, and you honestly completely forget you're in a theme park at all.
OKW is my family’s favorite resort. We are a large family and absolutely love the size of the rooms and have never had a bad view. It’s truly a beautiful resort with a real Florida feel. Other resorts that we’ve stayed at seem dark and small in comparison. Easy access to Disney Springs and dedicated buses to parks Win Win Win !!!
Love it there! But if you don’t have a car it’s a huge property to walk to the Hospitality House. Also, that 3rd floor is tough with no elevator when moving luggage in/out.
Just discovered your channel via Karen Bee. Love it already! This villa gorgeous. My in-laws had a house in Port Orange, FL that was only slightly larger this villa, so yes, you could totally live here. LOL.
That separate tub situation is really nice if you’ve got little kids. You can get them cleaned while someone else is taking a shower. This room is definitely massive!
We stayed in that villa during our last Disney vacation. We went in Oct of 2020. It was our first vacation together as a couple, and both of our respective first luxury vacations as adults. I LOVED THIS VILLA. Now, I don’t want to stay anywhere else when we go back. It was so comfortable and relaxed, but it felt like an absolute luxury Villa. There was not thing I didn’t love about it. We had an accessible room (I require a scooter due to a neuromuscular disease) and I felt safe and totally comfortable. I turned the separate sink into a complete make-up vanity for myself and my guy took a hot tub every night. Absolutely recommend!!
I love old key west! Those rooms really are big enough to live in for real! I’m really in the mood for a mostly resort only stay. I want to get to the point where we go often enough that I allow us lots of resort downtime.
We stayed there for the first time about 2 years ago and LOVED it. Booked a 1 bedroom for our family of 4 and they gave us a 2 bedroom! Definitely felt spoiled 😊
Some clear plusses and minuses for me. I love the double wall of windows and the balcony views. Very comfortable size. I definitely don't that cabinet with the TV. And I really don't inderstand the shutters between the bathroom and bedroom. I'm sure you were very comfortable. I'd love to stay here. OKW and SSR are the only DVC resorts at WDW that I haven't stayed at.
We loved loved staying in a one bedroom last year for 3 days! We really felt like we were on vacation in Florida! It was very quiet and relaxing. Loved all the space. Will definitely be back! We rent points but will be members one day :)
This exactly, Jamie! In fact, I shed a few tears missing my boys when I first walked in because we have stayed in this layout so many times. Just lovely.

I just stayed in a room just like this in October. It was a nice room with lots of space and we did make use of the kitchen as we had a couple non park relax in room days. Although I did find it weird that they did not just go ahead and put a toilet in the other half of the bathroom as well. With four adults and one child it did get pretty inconvenient and it seemed like such on odd thing as water and sewer lines are already right there. Also fair warning the pull out couch has the most uncomfortable mattress every created on it. Other than that it is a nice place, with nice relaxing views and there is enough space for people to spread out without feeling like you are right on top of each other while in the room. Also it's not too far from any of the parks so you don't have very long bus rides to get to them.
I wanted to stay here last summer in 2 bedroom, but went with Saratoga Springs Resort so my youngest could have a real bed instead of the pullout. Best trip I ever had with all 3 of my boys (2 out of the house) I just wished those rooms had been on OKW property lol
Such good timing! We are planning a one week stay in a one bedroom in February. Our home resort is Copper Creek which we bought directly from Disney with no regrets. We love it there! But "add-on-itis" is strong in our house right now and a resale at OKW is top on our list. Thank you for the room tour and what a great view!
This was the original DVC which I joined in 1992 & it is the best. You forgot to mention the whirlpool which is something they have done away with (seemingly in the one bedroom villas)) at Boardwalk, Boulder Creek, Copper Canyon (these are the ones I am aware of). The one bedroom at the Grand Floridian villas is the closest in space, but nothing matches the spaciousness of Old Key West. Saratoga Springs one bedroom would fit inside the one bedroom at OKW with room left over. Yes, I am prejudiced - been to OKW 50 times - have also stayed in the Grand Villas, otherwise always a one bedroom.
Jen, as a marine botanist, you missed the most important feature….seaweed on the walls! Seriously, as one who has never considered Old Key West…you have me thinking.
Thanks! This is very helpful! Do you think there is a way to get some kind of extra mattress/rollaway? We would have my 2 adult daughters and grandson. None of them would be able to sleep on the pullout together since is't only a double:(
You are the best! I am a party of 1 however I wish to stay in a one bedroom. I am very partial to water. Should I book standard or hospitality? Same points. Thanks! I sure appreciate you!
Disney needs totake a page from this resort and make another like it...the owners turnover is like 2042...but just hate the new models..run of the mill hotel room experience
Does anyone know if these connect to other rooms? I always have terrible luck with noisy families at 2am. :) Looking for a property with no connecting rooms.

This woman is adorable. She has such a nice vibe. Thank you for all the vital information. 🎉❤

We enjoyed our time at old key west. It is a quiet place to stay.
I have always loved this resort and could live here 24/7.
Love it there! But if you don’t have a car it’s a huge property to walk to the Hospitality House. Also, that 3rd floor is tough with no elevator when moving luggage in/out.
Me too! Our family’s home away from home for sure! It give us all the feels.
Right?! Honestly, as close to a lake house or a beach house as I'm ever likely to come and I am hERE FOR IT.
It’s soothing and peaceful in there- I had no idea how nice OKW is
Thank you for doing this tour ❤😊
I have stayed at 2 different 1-bedroom villas at Old Key West and am amazed at the lovely views they all have. Thanks for this tour of building 35.
It's true, I've never had a bad view either! Just gorgeous.
Stayed there back in September. The balcony, while watching the DVC ferry steam by was the height of Disney magic
We've stayed there too and they are amazing Villas! OKW is one of my favorite resorts!
Love OKW. So beautiful and laid back ❤
Such a gorgeous room! That balcony is to die for, but with that VIEW?!
Yeah seriously I could stay there and never step foot in a park and be perfectly content!

I really like the layout for families!
Ours too! Loved it so much we bought in 😂 6 days till we’re back in a 2nd ‘‘em this time ❤

YES you've described it perfectly. Comfortable and relaxed!
Our home resort. We love it so much.

Honestly I never end a trip thinking I wish we’d had more park time and almost always end it with wishing we’d had more resort time!
We are staying here for marathon weekend! Great tour
Wow, I want to stay at that resort!
We stayed there for the first time about 2 years ago and LOVED it. Booked a 1 bedroom for our family of 4 and they gave us a 2 bedroom! Definitely felt spoiled 😊
Truly the best when a magical upgrade like that happens!

Fun!!!! What a beautiful unit! I could totally live there too.
Right? Literally all the comforts of home.
Stayed in 3515, agreed best view!
Yay! I love Jen's room tours!
Well thank you, Gary! That means a lot to me!

I could totally live there - love it!
Only stayed at OKW one time, for one night. It felt so much more like a condo than a standard hotel or even DVC room. Love the room tour!
Can't wait to stay in one for the first time at OKW in February 😁
You will love it!

Next time you stay ask for a mattress topper for the pull out sofa! They have quite a few of them and it really helps.

What OKW lacks in location it more than makes up for with the size of the villas and the relaxing feeling there!
Makes me want some OKW points!

Love how big that room is! Very relaxing for sure! How long does it usually take you to get to Magic kingdom from there?
On the bus I always allow 45 minutes just because that can be a challenge, but if you drive or take Uber it's less than 15 minutes.
Hi, are there any pools with salt water anywhere in Disney? Pool chemicals give me hives. Thanks

Yes some rooms do have connecting rooms
I don’t remember. Is there a cookie sheet?I have snacks I want to make and want to know if I should bring one.
There is or at least there should be and if there’s not one call housekeeping and they’ll deliver it (sometimes things go missing)
I dont think I want to know the price lol
Do you have a favourite 2 bedroom room at Old Key West?
I want to be you, Jen Lefforge
I don’t know, Ryler, I’m honestly kind of a mess but THANK YOU!❤️
@@JenLefforge 😂😂😂😂❤️
Which is your favorite room to request?
I actually never request a particular room!
