I’m not a motorbike rider never been on one in my life and I’m 34 . But the TT fascinates me and I don’t know why. It’s unbelievable and shocking that humans can go that fast on a machine. The TT is something completely different and I love it
I went to IOMTT in 2016 and so excited to say I’m crossing the pond for 2024. I can’t even focus on anything else. Can’t wait for that ferry ride. See you guys soon! 🇮🇲 🇺🇸
If anyone reads this, I’ll be in Liverpool for a few days beforehand and I rented a bike. Can anyone give me a recco for a cool day ride around there? Thinking about going south along the coast towards Conwy. Where else should I go?
@@patton303Head north to Lake District , Windemere about 70- 80 miles from Liverpool go South West through the Trough of Bowland towards a town called Settle, then maybe to Hawes depending on weather and time, then back to Liverpool couple hundred miles round trip on 'A' and 'B' roads but never to far from motorways if needed. Check a map of the area to see if it appeals. Enjoy your trip!
@@sooyster4033 Sure. It can be done for about 5k US if you want to do it cheaply. Last time I did it, I only bought grocery food and a portable stove and camped near Braddan Bridge for the race week. I’m gonna do this again. Bring rain gear. lol.
Love to hear each persons opinions on what it actually feels like going flat out on the TT course. What it actually means to them. Not all of us are cut out to do what they do. Amazing each and every rider the sacrifice they're willing to make. Find it really intriguing the whole aspect. I'd often open her up on the odd drive. But compared to what these guys do it must be some buzz when everything goes right.
A real rider like these lads ride multiple bikes. Talent can get the most out of any bike, and it shows. Last time gp guy did that was Freddie Spencer in 80s won 250 and 500 title in same yr. Only the best can adapt to different size and power machines. Just more proof these lads are the elite of the elite.
I'm from Indonesia, I used to really like MotoGP, but after seeing the TT race I really really like it because this race is very challenging, I respect all the racers because they are really heroes
Anyone watching this road race? Question? I'm not a fast rider and respect the street but as a rider who's felt slides and lost grip, why do the Moto GP riders regularly lose the front or rear on a track but these gods almost lose it but hold it together on regular road tarmac? It just perplexes me.
The TT riders cannot afford to take it to the cornering adhesion limits physically, like MotoGP. Just riding the course is super extreme already, not necessarily at the limit of grip during every corner, but avoiding walls & stuff. One of the most challenging things on TT is resisting the temptation to go faster, because the bike isn’t at its limit. The rider is. If they’re in the zone, what’s sometimes called “flow”, they are faster. It’s not so much adhesion limits as turning & braking points. Most of us just touch that feeling of stitching our favourite bends together. However, other days you get the position wrong, you are so close to running out of road & you’re aware you nearly binned it. Or is that just me? This is why motorcyclists have such respect for the racers and affinity for what they do. MotoGP is utterly incredible but it’s all about doing things that make no sense to road riders. Those lean angles are silly vs even a good road bike. I used to enjoy it, but I no longer even watch. TT, I love everything about it.
when i saw that video I dont talk man vs machine, but, man and machine. when you do a sport like that, you dont fight with the machine, you only trust........

I love the videos, but the disrespect for Irish Road Racing is kinda off-putting. Suggesting that they don't run different bikes elsewhere is just disingenuous...
Keep factory out they ruin every good sport. When money decides winner not the rider. All for teams getting factory help but not luke gp where one factory with deepest pockets ruins the competition on track.
who edited this? you can't have the same interview form for 20 minutes. edit in some racing footage or go to some behind the scenes somewhere in a garage. There's absolutely no dynamic or pacing in this video. Just constant soundbites with blaring background music and it is just tiresome to watch.
Just what Wednesday nights are for……countdown to TT 24……👍🇮🇲👌⭐️

It really is totally different to anything.
I've been to some amazing sporting events but the TT smokes everything.
I would totally advise you to go to the Island to see it real time but if you can't then get the TT live pass £25 well spent pal👌

Thanks so much. Yeah, I actually prefer the B roads. I just screen shot this. Sounds like a great ride. Cheers.
Can you give me a ballpark for what a trip like that costs? It's definitely on my bucket list

Everybody walks about in slow motion on the Isle of man for some reason 😂

There in the slipstream
Its because they’re so fast it’s like slow motion to you 😂

Freddie Spencer was the last bloke to win both 250 and 500 GPs wasn't he?

A lot of riders do this in AMA super hooligan, then bagger, super twin, but it’s not the TT. It’s track still dangerous but not TT level
Amazing 👍🇮🇲👍🥰🇮🇲🏆
M Dunlop , comments brilliant, if you can ride a bike

He's going to beat his uncle this year, will he carry on? Of course he will.
Stay hydrated John 😂
Shame the tv coverage is so poor.
1hr show. 40 mins of talking, 20mins or race action
Only saving grace is the online service now
Not so.much man vs machine, to me it is man and his machine vs the road.
Epic

The best sponsors still can't buy experience and just stick it on a helmet or bolt it to a bike...

I get your point bud. Irish road racing’s popularity and coverage benefits from these guys using it as a test session for the TT.
