omg this is the most detailed and realisric oven I've seen that doesnt need 3d printing! thank you so much! I'm making a kitchen for my Barbies rn and this is exactly what I was looking for
I was actually perusing your website, looking to buy the pattern for your stove, but then had to go back to check your (amazingly well done) video, to remember that it came before you worked predominantly in paper! I'd somehow told myself that it'd always been the way it is now - what a surpeise, haha. It's amazing how you have grown and I'd just like to thank you for how accessible you've made your, quite frankly, unparalleled builds. No one does detail and realism like you. I was wondering, have you considered doing a paper/cricut version of your stove to go with your other kitchen items?
Oh my goodness, thank you! You're so, so kind, it really means the world 😶❤️❤️❤️ and yes, I myself can hardly remember a time I worked with something other than paper but it actually happened 😂😂😂 As for the oven - oh that's very likely 😂 I've just now started working on a paper-redo of another "big" old project of mine 🤫 so yes, I can't really give you a timeline, but it's coming at some point! 😊
So many Congrats Stella I´m crazy in love with your amazing miniature art-work and your very helpful tutorials ... (and so thankful for the cms measurements!)
oh I have to finally try the trick with warming up the plastic so it can take any shape! lovely stove, I love the rack that goes inside :) (I am always so bad at bending wires evenly :D)
Oh bending wire is the WORST! I'm terrible at it too, I still have to find a way to achieve actually "straight" lines 😂😂 the worst type is the wire that comes in rolls. I use paper clips whenever I can 😂
Aw thank you! I ha e to admit I am not 100% happy with the oven rack 😶 although I think it's an improvement compared to the one in my previous oven, so.. 😅😂😂😂
Wow you actually vacuuformed styrene. That's next level for a doll related tutorial. Where do you get shiny styrene like that? The model scale stuff all seems matte. Thanks,
Truth be told, I was given it from a family member who works with plastic (I'm such a nepo baby 🤣🤣🤣) however I have found "shiny" plastic sheets in craft stores - if it helps, they were generally in the jewellery section. I think they're meant for that... shrink...something.. technique (I can't remember the name 🤣)
@@SimplystellaTV That's not really nepotism. Anyone can basically see the miniature model railroad/minicars section in toy stores. So idk y the doll house people never buy any tools from there.
Oh I think I have bad news - it has apparently been discontinued 😔 I haven't been able to find the cartridges anywhere for the past couple of years, and they're gone from the manufacturer's website as well. I even tried contacting their customer service (twice) to ask if they're still in production/where can I buy them, but they never bothered with a reply 🫤 I've switched to glue rollers (like these: amzn.to/3qHYOYl) lately. They're work similarly enough 🤷♀️ hope this helps!
Are the templates for this online somewhere? This is positively wonderful and I plan to make your cabinets soooo....was hoping to make this as well so it's all matching. You are brilliant, my dear and your time is appreciated.
Hi, I love your videos💖💕My miniature house is almost complete! have you made pdf templates for the stove and fridge? I find them super useful to keep everything in place!
I hope I'm getting it right, but if you want to know what kind of supplies I generally use I have a list on my blog! It's right here: simplystella-sketchbook.blogspot.com/2023/05/the-best-tools-for-making-dollhouse.html?m=1 😊
Спасибо вам за обзор. Попробую повторить такую миниатюру но из плотного картона. Фанеру резать к сожалению пока нечем. Только начинаю что то такое творить. А вам успехов и побольше творческих идей))
@@user-bk1ek6rv3w the easiest method if you're cutting with scissors or a craft/pen knife is to use cardstock (like the kind you find in food packaging), cut the same shape a few times and glue them all together! I've been using this technique for quite a while now and I love it 😍
I have a couple of projects that are in 1:12 (like a desk and a desktop computer) but I mostly work in 1:6! However if you want to adapt one of my projects to 1:12 you can simply divide all the measurements by two (or print at 50% for projects that include a printable template) 😊
You mean this? 0:09 oh boy I actually got it from Amazon! 😂 Although it was Italian Amazon and it was one of those "shipped by Amazon" things (seller was likely local). They're sold in packs of 10, if that helps. Also, the pack I had before this one, I bought in the "school supplies" aisle of a dollar store, so maybe you could try there? Also, craft stores should carry this kind of thing. Another good material you could use is MDF (I haven't personally tested it yet, but I have bought one sheet and it looks super sturdy). Hope this helps! 🤗🤗🤗
The sticker maker I was using here has unfortunately been discontinued 😭 I'm now using glue rollers (like these: amzn.to/434PtaZ) in its place, they work similarly! If you're curious about the kind of tools I use in my projects, I have a little list of my favourite things on my blog: simplystella-sketchbook.blogspot.com/2023/05/the-best-tools-for-making-dollhouse.html?m=1 , hope it helps 😍
Of course! I used mini magnets "hidden" inside the oven's frame (here: 1:55 and here: 7:35), then placed staples on the oven's door so that the magnets would have something to attach to. I used staples since they're tiny and I figuredmost people have a stapler at home, however you can use any other thin metal thingie you have laying around 😂 Hope this helps! ❤
I have a list of the glues I use most frequently here: simplystella-sketchbook.blogspot.com/2023/05/the-best-tools-for-making-dollhouse.html?m=1#glues ❤
Lovely high quality craftsmanship you earned a subscribe from me. Only complaint is the music is a bit annoying and repetitive but I will still watch the videos.
1) ooooh thank you so much! This kind of feedback really makes my day 😍❤ ❤❤ 2) hahaha your comment on the background music made me chuckle - I kind of like that silly music and I literally hum along to it whenever I'm editing my videos 🤣🤣🤣 (I'm a very strange person). Truth be told, I've been toying with the idea of adding some kind of voiceover instead of muzak, but everytime I try to record one I just feel so silly and don't know what to say 🤦♀️😅😂 (hashtag, shy people problems 😂)
Finished product is lovely and realistic but a lot of the steps I can't really make out what is being done. The steps are not at all clear. And i don't have all those fancy tools either. Would prefer step by step instructions rather than music.
