I agree that people really need to learn to look past color. My son married outside of our race and she is 9 years old than him and had been married before. The "divorced, older woman" thing kinda rubbed me the wrong way at first but I can say she has really bought out the best in my son. It may be to her benefit, but as a mother I can say I see the MAN-HUSBAND that my son is, and for that I am thankful and proud of him. He was always hard working but now he has a purpose, if you understand what I mean. He has a 10 yo son from a previous relationship and if I can get him to be "the father" that his wasn't, I would REALLY be a proud mama. The wife knew she couldn't have any, but lied to him until after they were married, which is a whole nother story!! BUT, aside from that lie, I can say she has been good to him and for him. I just need him to focus on his son a little bit more. I even had to put my mother in her place, albeit, WHILE STILL BEING RESPECTFUL, because she didn't care for her grandson "fooling with that white girl". My daughter -in-law does rub me the wrong way at times, to be honest, but I will have her back against anyone that tries to utter anything negative about her!! Now, if I can just get her to stop trying to put her hair into box braids, everything would be damn near perfect!!! 🤦🏽♀️😂 And I'm so sorry for the long post. I have the gift of gab!! 🤦🏽♀️😍😜
